Andrea thank you for the review and staying with us at the historic Heidelberg Inn & Resort we are a new management company here are diligently addressing our room furnishings as you hopefully enjoyed our new sofas and chairs throughout the resort. Unfortunately we cannot change the style doors in rooms it is fire code due to the fact there is not an outside window for escape in case of a fire, I do apologize for this. This guest showed up at the Front Desk with a dog, saying Expedia said we were pet friendly. We let them know our pet policy is service animals only and showed the guest the Expedia listing stating no pets. The guest was unhappy and strongly disputed this fact. We graciously agreed to accept the family, and their pet, with a pet fee. We assumed the guest would be more appreciative as we helped them out and did not turn them away for the night in good will.
