Our recent stay at the Cape Codder Resort was a thoroughly disappointing experience. We were not informed about the ongoing construction, which resulted in constant noise and made it incredibly difficult to navigate around the hotel. This lack of communication was just the beginning of our frustrations.
The service was abysmal. Despite several attempts to reach the staff over the phone, we were met with silence every time. This forced us to walk to the front desk lobby for any issues, which was particularly inconvenient with a toddler in tow. For instance, our key card was randomly deactivated, and since no one answered the phone, we had to make the trek to the front desk to get it resolved.
The food was another major letdown. The Chicken Quesadilla was a prime example of this, featuring dry, large chunks of chicken tenders that were far from appetizing.
To top it all off, the manager agreed to contact Expedia to issue a refund and provide a complimentary one-day stay as compensation for our troubles. However, this promise was never fulfilled, adding to our overall dissatisfaction.
We had high hopes for our stay given we've stayed here before, but unfortunately, the Cape Codder Resort failed to meet even the most basic expectations this time. We won't be returning and would advise others to consider alternative accommodations.
