Dirty, smelly and noisy, kids running wild, and the “cleaning lady” was still cleaning the initial room we were given. Had to go to another room and a bed bug was found. I have pictures. I left.

Disgusting. Walked into our room to check in and there was someone ready in it. We refused to stay after that. The hotel claimed it was a mixup. Would not refund. Beware.

We have stayed at this location several times. It has steadily improved especially in the last two years. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Staff is excellent, friendly and professional. A great spot. Highly recommend.

This establishment is one of cleanest, well run motels we have stayed in with Super 8 chain. Management and staff are friendly and welcoming. Beds are comfy, rooms are cleaned very well. We have a pet and its wonderful how they treat her. Highly recommend this motel.

Room 116 needs a new exhaust fan in the bathroom its realy realy loud a long with the heater when it kicks on you have to turn the tv up alot then when it shuts off turn the tv down so you dont bother other people

November stay
I was pleased with my room. It appeared to have new carpet, flooring, bedding and towels. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Very quiet stay and friendly staff. I would stay again.

The town that this property is at was unfortunately going through some major construction on the roads and all through downtown and this was all during Sturgis. We booked here based on price knowing we would still have to travel an hour to reach Mt Rushmore and our other vacation spots. Overall, the property was clean and well cared for and the staff was wonderful.

The carpet was stained and the kids running up and down stairs in morning gave an early wake up. The room was clean and the AC worked. The breakfast was good, the waffle maker made good waffles.

Our beds were comfortable but we found a small tick like bug on one of our beds. It concerned us but we had a long day of travel and were ready to sleep. They do allow pets in the rooms so that could be where it came from. We searched all the covers and we didn't find anything else. There were men lying on the floor and lounging in the hallway when we first came in. The night manager was walking into the hallway to get them out as we went into our room. There were so many construction men in the area where breakfast was served that I didn't feel comfortable going in that room without my husband. My husband works construction and sometimes stays in hotels. I understand the need, but the room was so loud,I could hear them before I came up the stairs. Had I been staying by myself, I would have been very uncomfortable here.

Liars with unethical business practices
Do not book here or trust these people. I was told the night of our reservation when we arrived to check-in that they had a “flood” but didn’t have my phone number to call and cancel my reservation, also got no notification from hotels.com, meaning they didn’t actually communicate this to them for my refund or to notify me. I was told by another hotel in the area they overbook on purpose and cancel people last minute frequently. We had to drive an hour to Rapid City and pay double what we paid for booking at Super 8. The next day I called hotels.com to report them and suddenly the hotel has my number to call me about my refund. Stay anywhere in Hot Springs but here.

Hotel was filthy dirty, stains everywhere in halway carpets, room carpets. Plugged up sinks and tubs and owner never dealt with them. Continental breakfast was anything but. Banans, apple, cereal waffle and yogurt. Would not recommend at all.

My first stop at the property was the bathroom by the office and it was nasty. Our room was mostly clean but behind the bathroom door was never swept and built up, we smelled marijuana whenever we came in theside door,and the bathroom and outside could have been cleaner. Mostly little stuff though. Beds were comfortable and the room was fairly quiet.

The owner and staff were nice. The bathroom was the smallest bathroom Ive ever seen in a hotel. The back door didn’t have a key entry so people left it open to come in and out. Sadly these place give carb only breakfasts which don't suit us. It was so full that when I went for coffee, there was none. However the owner scurried to get me some.

economical stay
we were there for one night, The young couple running the motel were very accomadating. The facility definately had a couple leaks or some problem like that, but they were working to fix the rooms affected by this problem. Our room was clean and comfortable. walking distance to the Mammoth Center. Overall a good stay

We found two baby roaches in the room this morning. So we decided to not eat breakfast here. Upon our arrival, we asked the lady working the front desk where the hot springs were and she couldn’t tell us, when one of the advertised things to this hotel was that the hot springs were a walkable distance from the hotel. We ended up talking to a local at the Hot Springs Coffeecafe and she said there were some public ones that were along the river with a short hike in.
