Booked here for the final few nights of our Vietnam trip and after staying at 3 other pretty great hotels in Hanoi during this same visit, this was quite a disappointment.
Location and service wise, it’s about the same as others. The bed is firm, the shower had great water pressure. We booked a pretty small room, so it was cramped, but the thing that was the disappointment was the noise. Sure, there was street noise which can’t be avoided—tho all of the other hotels in this price range and star level achieved an almost soundproof room. What was really terrible was how much you could hear in the hallways, the adjacent room and the room above us. At all hours. I’ve stayed at quieter hostels. We tried to ignore it, wearing earplugs etc, but what took the cake was when on our last day we attempted to enjoy the pool-that’s why we chose this place after all- and they were welding and using an angle grinder. No one even offered an apology that the work was obviously loud and destroying any chance at a relaxing.
I’d give this a hard pass, but grab a croissant from Gau next door if you’re in the neighbourhood.
