Die Unterkunft, der Strand das Meer einfach schön. Selten das die Bilder des Hotels dem tatsächlichen Zustand nicht gerecht werden. Das Essen hat hervorragende Qualität die man bei einem Buffet nicht leicht findet, leider ist es aber nur lauwarm. Ausserdem sollte man wissen das es keinen TV gibt und das WLAN reine Glücksache ist und nur selten funktioniert. sucht man Erholung und Ruhe oder ist Schnorchelfan ist man aber sicher gut aufgehoben.

Ordentliche Zimmer in Strand Nähe mit super Aussic
Dieses war ein rundum gelungener Urlaub mit super Strand und Aussicht vom Zimmer. Die Kellner im Restaurant waren alle freundlich und sehr kompetent. Diese Ruhe war super. Das Wetter ist konstant immer schön.

Resort der gehobenen Klasse
Sehr gepflegtes Resort. Über 90 Angestellte sorgen jeden Tag dafür. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist sehr angenehm. Einfach ideal um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Hat auch genügend Aktivitäten, um 2 Wochen zu verweilen. Fantastische Farben vom Meer und wunderbar zum Schnorcheln.

Dear Julia, thank you for your positive review of our hotel. As our diving and marine biologist staff explained you, the reefs all over the world (including the australian reef) have been damaged due to the the climate change. Warm waters do not help the corals to leave. It happens especially in the first eight meters. Deeper you can still see colorful corals alive. However we are still lucky because we can see a lot of tropical fish in all shapes and size swimming around our turquoise lagoon. Best regards

Place: the beach is very beautiful but with lots of dead corals on the beach shore, so entering the see requires shoes or very hard feet soles:) also the beach is short on sand. Too many mosquitoes and black-winged stilt...very annoying...don't forget to bring a strong insect repellent with you! Room: good hotel rooms. However, AC had to be fixed, had always to order extra towels, lights were out of order...but everything was fixed quickly... Wi-Fi is almost inexistent! Staff: all staff is very friendly no matter what they do. The staff at the reception was specially very careful, friendly, quick and professional. My special thanks to you Sara! Dive center: very professional, knowledgeable and friendly people. Learned with them the Enriched Air Diver speciality and also many tricks and good tips to improve my diving. They definitely know the surroundings and understand a lot about diving! Also act very responsive and careful towards all divers. Food: breakfast is not special. Meals are generally healthy and standard. There are variations between vegetables, soup, pasta, rice, chicken, local fish (mostly tuna) and local spicy dishes. Everything cooked very creatively and tastes good enough. It is a shame the poor variety and low quality of food offered in the bar (shame shame shame to offer an industrialised chicken pasta box for 12 USD!! It is awful and costs max 2 Euro in Europe!! Shame shame!)

Sehr entspannter Urlaub in sehr toller Umgebung
Waren 11 Nächte im Barefoot Eco Hotel auf den Malediven - die absolut richtige Entscheidung! Sensationell freundliches und engagiertes Personal, kein Stress sondern Ruhe pur! Eingeschränktes WLan, kein TV - nur das Meeresrauschen am wundervollen Hotelstrand. IMMER top gepflegt, super Wasserqualität am Hausriff. Essen nicht allzu üppig, aber passend zum Hotelkonzept und ausgezeichnet! 12 Tage ohne Schuhe unterwegs gewesen - in Anlehnung an das Hotelkonzept - was sehr sehr angenehm war! Aufgrund der geringen Hotelzimmer sehr familiär und angenehm! Haben einige Schnorchelausflüge genossen die immer das gehalten haben was angekündigt wurde! Hotel kümmert sich sensationell um Abreise (check-in, Transport der Koffer zum nahegelegenen Flughafen und Gepäckaufgabe) - mann muss nur ins Shuttle steigen und direkt in den Flieger! Tauchbasis ebenfalls sehr freundlich, aber auch sehr teuer! :( Check-dive (der auf freiwilliger Basis, mit dem eigenen Equipment und im Hotelpool in geschätzt 12 Minute erfolgte) wurde als normaler Tauchgang verbucht und auch verrechnet - im Vorfeld wurde dies jedoch nicht kommuniziert sondern war dann bei der Abrechnung ein großes Aha-Erlebnis (überall anders wird ist dies als Service-Leistung gesehen und dient zur Sicherheit beider Seiten).

Wir hatten 5 großartige Tage im Barefoot! Zimmer: riesig - sowohl das Zimmer als auch das Bett und sehr schönes Badezimmer. Klimaanlage ist sehr gut, nur im Bad ist es sehr warm. Die Terrasse: sehr gemütlich - Mosquitoschutz nicht vergessen! Das Essen: sehr lecker. Aber teuer! 30$ p. P. für das Buffet. Die Preise in der Snackbar sind auch recht hoch: 15$ für Pasta of the day. Abendessen gibt es leider erst ab 20 Uhr. Wir hätten uns gewünscht bereits um 19 Uhr essen zu können. Unsere Highlights: - täglich 2 Stunden kostenfrei Kajak fahren - jeden morgen (und manchmal auch abends) kostenfreier Joga-Kurs - täglich kostenfreier Schnorchelausflug - kostenfreier Verleih von sehr guten Fahrrädern - ab 18 Uhr kostenfreier Transfer zum wunderschönen Barboot. Den Sonnenuntergang mit einem Cocktail auf hoher See genießen: der absolute Wahnsinn!

Traumhaftes Hotel für Alle die keine mediale Vollzeitbespaßung brauchen, also ohne Internet und TV auskommen.... Wir waren neun Tage "im Paradies" und - wie die Empfangschefin schmunzelnd sagen würde "...we were really busy in doing nothing..." - dank Tauchschule, sehr guten Anwendungen im Spa, traumhafter Natur, die zu Erkunden war und gutem Italienisch angehauchtem Essen. Ach ja: Barefoot ist hier Programm! Not barefoot? Overdressed ... ;)

Es ist ein sehr angenehmer, legerer Aufenthalt gewesen. Ausser das fast über eine Woche das Telefon nicht funktioniert hat und auch das versprochene Wasser regelmäßig vergessen wurde aufzufüllen, ist es ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub gewesen.

Sehr schönes Barfuß Hotel zum Relaxen. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Kleine Anlage mit viel Platz am Strand. Gutes Essen mit vielen home made (z.B. Pasta, Marmelade, Eis, Currys, etc.) Produkten und einer guten Mischung aus regionalem (indisch, viel Fisch) und italienischem Essen. Im Anbetracht der Nicht-Verfügbarkeit von Produkten, eine gute Versorgungsleistung. Liegen am Strand sehr gut. Für den Preis ist die Leistung absolut angemessen.

Toller Schnorchelurlaub mit 100% Erholung
Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub im Barefoothotel. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das nette Personal, die location an sich, das entspannte Ambiente, der Strand, das Schnorcheln, die Black Pearl und auch das italienisch angehauchte Essen. Unserer Meinung nach könnte das Abendessen zeitlich etwas früher stattfinden (Buffet öffnet erst 20 Uhr). Dass die Malediven ein Müllproblem haben dürfte mittlerweile klar sein, das Hotel an sich mit Strand war aber immer sauber. Zusammengefaßt: Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, für uns war es ein absolut fantastischer Urlaub in jeglicher Hinsicht.

Relax and Nature
We spent 12 beautiful days enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the surrounding nature, we received also an upgrade for our room accommodation and this made our staying even more special. The almost daily snorkeling with the competent marine biologists was very intense and fulfilling. The food was very good and variated, and the friendliness and openness of the staff quite remarkable.

Schönes Hotel mit familiären Charme
Wir waren zu 8 im Barefoot Eco Hotel Anfang November 2015. Das Gelände des Hotels ist riesig. Wir hatten die Beachfront Suites direkt am Strand wo man 10 Schritte bis zum Wasser braucht. Die Zimmern waren gut ausgestattet, immer sauber, WLAN war überraschenderweise ziemlich schnell, Klimaanlage war leise und sehr effektiv und das Bad war wunderschön mit einer Regenfunktion. Die Küste ist wunderschön, hat ein Vielfalt an Fischen und Korallen. Es ist sehr breit so dass man oft das Gefühl hat dass man alleine auf dem Insel ist. Es gibt viele mögliche Aktivitäten wie Sandvolleyball, Kayak, Jetski und die hunderte Möglichkeiten in unterschiedlichen Orten schnorcheln zu gehen. Das Essen war super lecker. Die Köche sind alle sehr freundlich. Auch sehr empfehlenswert sind die malidivische Snacks die von Frauen aus dem Dorf Dienstags und Freitags vorbereitet werden. Highlight dieses Hotels ist das Personal. Ich möchte diese Chance nutzen um mich bei Aisha, Nisha, Ahmet und Maxine zu bedanken für einen super geilen Programm. Die haben einen Wochenplan für uns erstellt als wir gekommen sind so dass es uns nie langweilig war. Wir hatten eine super Zeit.

Tolle Anlage mit Wohlfühlcharakter
Wir konnten nach einer Tauchsafari noch 3 Nächte im Hotel BF (Erdgeschoss/ Zi. mit Meerblick) genießen. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Positiv: kostenfreies Trinkwasser, freier Fahrradverleih um die einheimische Insel zu erkunden (kleine Shops im Ort), Zimmer konnte bis zum Abflug (ca. 3h über die Checkout-Zeit) genutzt werden, gut geführte Tauchbasis am Hotel, leckeres Essen bei fester Tischzuteilung, ausreichend Liegen am Strand, netter Meerwasserpool - untypisch für die Maledivien, Schnorcheln (nicht direkt vorm Hotel) und Yoga täglich kostenfrei, Engagement für die Förderung des Umweltbewusstseins. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt.

Good value for money compared with other offers in the Maldives. Local Flight needed to reach the hotel with a short stop on another island. Great food from Italian Chef and really great kitchen staff! The beach and diving is great as expected on Maldives. The Hotel is run by Italiens and also visited mostly by Italiens which makes italien the first language there, sometimes forgetting about other nationalities. However, we had a great stay and would go again.

Ruhe ohne Langeweile
Wir (2 Erwachsene 3 Kinder) wurden am Flughafen von einem Hotelmitarbeiter abgeholt und im Hotel mit einem kühlen Drink sehr herzlich empfangen. Hier hat die Erholung angefangen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Meer mit all seinen Bewohnern war wunderbar. Am Pool hatten die Kinder ihren Spaß. Das Essen war sowohl beim Frühstück, als auch beim Abendessen sehr reichhaltig und köstlich. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr gut. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Wir haben unsere Reise sehr genossen. Da wir Gäste des Softopenings (3./4. Betriebswoche) waren, kann man noch keine 100% erwarten, das Risiko war uns bewusst. Einiges hat sich bereits während des Aufenthaltes verbessert. Wir beziehen uns also auf die letzten Reisetage. Flug: Inlandstransfer Male-Hotel = nicht inklusive/ teuer ( Buchung über das Hotel hat gut funktioniert, Service mit vorzeitigem Check In, Flughafentransfer etc.war sehr gut) Zimmer: Gute Ausstattung, Kein TV ( was nicht wirklich stört), etwas karg ( Dekoration etc. fehlte), alles in allem ist es kein deutscher Baustandard, den man aber auch nicht erwarten sollte. Das Bad ist hübsch, und nach außen offen= nicht klimatisert. Der Rest schon. Die Lage ist Perfekt zum Strand, Meerblick in den oberen Zimmern super, untere Zimmer durch notwendigen Pflanzenbewuchs mittelmäßig, dafür direkten Zugang zum Privatstrand (Bikini ist in Ordnung) Lautstärkepegel durch Grillen und Flughunde nicht unerheblich = Natur Essen : Super lecker mit viel Auswahl. Das selbstgemachte Eis jeden Abend ist ein Traum. Sehr italienisch geprägt, jedoch auch lokales Getränke : größtes Minus. Nur beim Frühstücksbuffet gibt es kostenlos Trinkwasser. Sonst ca.4$ pro 1,5l stilles Wasser, läppert sich bei diesem Klima schnell.Cocktails an der Bar sehr gut (nur unalkoholisch, weil Einheimischeninsel), Trinkwasser kann günstiger im Dorf gekauft werden ca. 1$/1,5l (Zur Orientierung hilft die Radtour, die Einwohner sind hilfsbereit und sehr nett)

Magnifique hôtel, très belle plage et fonds sous marins pour le snorkeling. Personnel aux petits soins. Superbes et abordables Excursions en compagnie de biologiste marin. Hôtel éco responsable, qui fait des efforts pour être le plus durable et respectueux de l’environnement possible. Attention car l’accès à l’île est compliqué, il y a très peu de vols domestiques par jour et l’attente à l’aéroport de Male peut donc être très longue (environ 6h à l’aller et au retour pour nous). Très calme, si vous souhaitez vous reposer c’est parfait. Mais manque d’animation et de spectacle. Il n’y a qu’un restaurant avec un seul buffet. La nourriture est bonne et de qualité, mais un peu répétitive. Nous avons mangé de délicieux poissons ! La chambre est comfortable, celle avec la vue sur la mer permet d’avoir une vue magnifique. Nous vous recommandons cet hôtel sans hésitation et avons passé un merveilleux séjour.

Magnifique séjour dans cet hôtel dont l'atout majeur est l'excellent restaurant et la gentillesse infinie de l'ensemble du personnel Les chambres sont simples avec vue sur la mer et la plage à 10m, le jardin botanique est splendide, le club de plongée sur place au top, le seul point négatif est le tarif des excursions un peu trop élevé. Nous recommandons cet hôtel pour tous les amoureux de nature et de vacances reposantes

Fantastic laid-back charm to this resort, as the name suggests. I couldn’t be happier with our stay at Barefoot. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the food and service was excellent. Anything more would have felt OTT and unnecessary. Congratulations on doing your best to keep things natural and eco-friendly. The Maldives are troubled by washed-up plastic and the more you do, the better I like it. 😊

事前の連絡から、現地での対応まで、 すべてが神対応でした。 特に、砂浜が近いので砂がつきがちなお部屋を 毎回清潔にたもってくださり感謝です。 グローエのシャワーなどワンランク上のホテルステイを楽しめました。 シェフがイタリアご出身ということで、食事は毎回パスタで出るのですが、 これも美味でした。食事では、特に朝食のオムレツが最高でした。 テレビもない、お酒もない。あるのは美しい海と、ゆったりとした時間。 癒されました。バカンスにはもってこいの宿泊先でした。 ドイツをはじめヨーロッパや南米・アフリカの方々が多く、日本の方には、 １週間でどなたにも会いませんでした。 この時期、確かに海の波はやや強く、シュノーケリングなどに向かう 船はよく揺れるのですが、それもそんなものだと思えば大した負担では ありませんでした。スタッフの皆様に感謝です。またチャンスがあれば行きたいです。

Amazing vacation, amazing place
I went to Maldives at the end of March, to find a little peace and quiet after working way too much. Barefoot Eco Hotel turned out to be the perfect place to regain my energy. It's quite small, so not too many people around. At lunchtime, the whole beach could be almost empty, and I got the whole lagoon to myself. It was amazing. Obviously, not the right choise for someone looking for evening action. (There is no alcohol on the island / resort either, but you can get a drink on board a bar boat nearby.) Food was good, but in that heat, I wasn't too hungry. I drank the juice bar alcohol-free drinks instead, super good! Not included in the half board/ full board, though. Everything in the resort is quite expensive, so be prepared for that. Also, take small dollar notes for tips. The only tourist resort in Maldives located on an island where also locals live, it was a big bonus to get to visit the nearby village too, and see some local people and buildings. Village is small, about 1000 inhabitants, but has a few shops that sell groceries and souvenirs, and they'll take dollars. There are some cafes too, I never got to those, but apparently they would be worth a visit. I stayed on top floor of one of the beach villas, and had a perfect sea view from my room. This was my first time to Maldives, but I will be back. Very likely even to Barefoot Hotel, and I would definitely also recommend it to my friends.

La struttura è molto bella nel rispetto dell'ambiente circostante. Ottimo servizio. Cibo eccellente grazie al cuoco italiano Cristian bravissimo!!!! splendida location, mare eccezionale cibo ottimo
debbo tuttavia segnalare uno spiacevole inconveniente. Giunti a Male,ore 15.30, dopo il ritiro bagagli, siamo usciti , pensando di vedere uno dei ragazzi con il cartello con il nome dell ‘hotel o il nostro.. invece nulla . Dopo varie peripezie... telefonate e altro , abbiamo incontrato uno dei ragazzi che ci ha detto che sapeva del nostro arrivo ma , non sapendo l’ora e il numero del volo ha prenotato l’ultimo volo ... ore 23.20, circa 8 ore dopo il nostro arrivo! I voli prima erano tutti pieni!! Viaggiamo spesso , avvalendoci del web, ma un simil disagio, causato non da disagi locali , ma a cattiva organizzazione, non ci era mai capitata.se posso sapere cosa puo' essere accaduto...

Quanto allo spiacevole inconveniente circa il volo interno, confermiamo di non aver mai ricevuto una vostra risposta alla nostra email dove chiedevamo il volo internazionale di arrivo. Solo quando l'ufficio riceve i dettagli del volo, infatti, puo' prenotare il volo interno Male/Hanimadhoo. Se non riceviamo alcun riscontro non possiamo immaginare il volo internazionale e quindi prenotare un volo domestico. Cordiali saluti

A very pleasant stay at the Barefoot Eco Hotel
The Barefoot Eco Hotel is an amazing place in the Maldives! It's not your traditional Maldivian resort, since it is situated in an island with a village (normally resorts are located in private islands). This adds greatly to the whole experience! If you are the type of person that likes to learn about the local culture of the places where you travel, this is a perfect combination. The hotel does a lot of work to support the local community, such as hiring locals, providing free training for people to work in the tourist industry, tours into the local village, cooking shows hosted by locals and others. The hotel also tries to minimize its footprint in the environment. For instance, the hotel doesn't sell any drinks in plastic bottles. The location is stunning! You clearly get this sense of being off the grid, in a tropical place. We saw turtles, harmless sharks, different kind of rays (manta, eagle, sting), tropical fishes and dolphins. The hotel offers different daily programs to get up close to these, as well as to visit nearby historical places. The food provided is delicious! It's a mix of Italian with influences of local cuisine. On Friday's, is Maldivian night and you can have a full Maldivian dinner experience. Finally the staff makes the whole experience 5 stars! Everyone, from the reception, to the restaurant to the diving center was friendly and helpful! We spent there almost two weeks and had the time of our lives. We will definitely return, if we have the chance.

　まず、マレの空港での乗り換えは、ホテルからのメールに書かれている方が行なってくれるので心配ないです。ホテルのエントランスは、なかなかのもで予想外のウエルカムドリンクに驚きました。すぐに、敷地内を案内してくれます。綺麗ですよ！また、部屋のエアコンの電源まで説明してくれます。そして、朝起きたらパンフレットそのままのモルディブの海に、うあ〜！部屋がグレードアップしてました。窓を開けたままにしなければ蚊は来ないそうです。ハエもいないし季節的なものかもしれませんが雨が降ります。すぐにまた晴れますのでバルコニーのおてだまソファが役に立ちます。スノーケリングの無料のツアーは、その前に練習が必要との事。イルカ、ビウオ、魚はいっぱいいるらしいですが船で行く必要があります。がしかし、この海と砂浜から離れる事はできません！食事するのも忘れてしまうくらい虜になってしまいます。フードスタッフのお兄さんは、ディズニー漫画そのままなのでかわいいです。朝からロシアのカップルの男のひとが中でもとくに可愛い男のスタッフを優しく抱きしめて離さないので彼女が可哀想でした。あとドイツ、インドネシア人…家族、一人の方もいるし日本人は、私くらいかな？食事はイタリア系のホテルと言う事で美味しいです。遠いのですが、この絶景のロケーションの海を見た後では時間がたつのが早すぎて止められません！最後の日の朝は食欲がなくなり物事の終わりを感じさせられます。カタール航空の機内音楽が寂しさを知らしてくれるでしよう。こんな思いをするなら二度と行きたくない!涙が出ます。しかし他の海とは比べられないくらい別格の別世界の、この世とあの世との違いが感じられます。また、行けばいいじゃない！そうもう他の海には、行けないでしょう❣ ここは、一番最後にしたほうがいいでしょう。

Paradijsje!
Warm welkom met mocktail en versierd bed. Bij vertrek werden onze koffers van te voren opgehaald en zelfs al ingecheckt! Vriendelijk, beleefd en behulpzaam personeel. Prachtige ligging, hier kom je tot rust! Ons Beach Front Room was prachtig, ruim , schoon en met ligging pal aan zee. Onze kamer werd 2x per dag schoongemaakt inclusief fles water.

Nice, quiet, remote place to stay
If you are looking for a place to scuba dive / snorkel in a quite and peaceful resort in the Maldives, this is probably the best place to go. It is a bit further out than the other resorts, but it's worth the trek if you are looking for a quite place. The hotel is not very big and therefore not many guests overcrowding the areas. The food from the buffet is varied and delicious, the dinner menu changes everyday. The beach is beautiful and it's easy to find places to snorkel right there. The hotel offers some free amenities (2-hour kayak rental, morning yoga, bike rental) which are quite nice. The bar boat in the evenings is worth a visit even if you don't plan on drinking and the village is lovely and quaint. On the down side, it is far out. You have to take a 45 minute internal flight to get here (no hydro-lane or speed boat). There are only 4-5 flights a day to the island so if you don't land in Male at the ideal flight to get on the next plane you may need to wait 4/5 hours to get to the island, but expect to wait a while anyway. This is a place to disconnect, so no TV in the rooms or anywhere, which may be a plus for some people, and not much for evening entertainment. In the evenings you can go to the boat bar where they serve alcohol. It's 5 minutes from the hotel by speed boat, with beautiful views, but even there it's sort of quiet.

All good things come to an end... We've just come back home from an 11 nights' stay at the Barefoot Hotel on Hanimaadhoo. Our head full of precious memories. We could not have chosen a better place for our first stay in the Maldives and for my husband 50th birthday. The Barefoot hotel is an eco friendly hotel, where it feels good living. It is layed back, very well managed, friendly, clean and tidy. Staff were discreet but always ready to help. The hotel is well integrated on the island, right on the seaside, but nicely hidden by coconut trees and other tropical plants. Our seafront room was spacious and comfortable with a very good shower. There is not much to do on the island, but we never got bored. We spent our time swimming in the beautiful lagoon and relaxing at the beach. The snorkeling is amazing and filled up a good part of our days... We were lucky to see some dolphins, some turtles, rays and so many beautiful colourful fish. We couldn't get enough of it! The food at the hotel restaurant was always very good, with plenty of variety everyday. There is a good team of chefs, who are always present during the meals, presenting their food, always cheerful and pleasant. We loved the Maldivian dinner last Friday and the traditional music afterwards played by the Maldivian staff. It was great to have an opportunity to danse ...barefoot! Thank you for the nice memories! We walked or cycled to the village several times. It is a typical muslim village.

Great hotel to experience marine and beach life
This is an excellent place to stay in the Maldives if you want to experience marine and beach flora and fauna as there are daily expeditions, kayaks, snorkelling excursions and a diving centre all operating from the hotel. As the island is inhabited, there is the added interest of the local village and people and the hotel has free bicycles to use as well as organising cultural and nature tours. The two resident marine biologists are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, energetic and friendly and lead the daily excursions so you can find out more about the things you are seeing. There is something on each evening for anyone interested - Maldivian cooking demonstration, film, documentary or an interesting talk by one of the marine biologists. There is no alcohol on the island but there is a bar boat off shore in the evenings if you want it - we found that the non-alcoholic fruit cocktails available at the hotel bar were delicious and were all we needed. Our son enjoyed the diving and was well looked after by the dive team.

Vacanza bellissima. Organizzazione perfetta fin dall'arrivo a Malè, stanze molto grandi ed ariose, eccellente l'uscita pomeridiana gratuita al reef (un po' più distante che in altre strutture). Anche la laguna si presta ad un tranquillo snorkeling per i piccoli o coloro che non hanno molta dimestichezza con le acque profonde. Ottima la cucina ed il buffet. Visti i prezzi degli spuntini al bar, ritengo conveniente la formula della pensione completa. Sottolineo che, pur in situazione di "tutto esaurito", il resort assicura tranquillità e privacy dovunque. Una menzione a parte per il PERSONALE. Un gruppo di giovani eccellenze italiane (e svizzere) , allegri, professionali, cortesissimi, efficienti. Anche i camerieri ed il Personale locale sono persone squisite. Una bellissima struttura non è nulla senza Persone come loro. Non c'è animazione ma tranquillità. Non c'è TV ma il Wi-Fi e tanti libri in biblioteca. Non c'è lusso pacchiano ma il massimo comfort. Non ci sono stanze su palafitte, ma piccole strutture a quattro stanze su due piani, perfettamente incastonate nella vegetazione. Le stanze al piano terra hanno accesso diretto alla spiaggia. L'isola è abitata da circa 2.000 maldiviani, per questo motivo gli alcolici si consumano solo a bordo di un "galeone" ancorato a poche centinaia di metri dalla riva. Una sola cosa, per favore.... quando torneremo non fateci ritrovare le poltrone di Fantozzi sul terrazzino. Magari le sdraio a strisce, ma non quelle! Grazie. ;-)

Very Nice Place - a sensible Paradise
This is a very nice hotel, at a beautiful beach. We had a sea view room with a large terrace with a fantastic view over the trees and the lagune, and literally 1 minute from a long white clean beach. The room was clean and large, with a large bed, which could be arranged as two separat beds. All the buildingmaterial was either stone or wood, and gave the impression of sustainability - as well as a very nice feeling in general. The place offered free snorkelign every day at 3 pm, (NB: Bring your snorkel and fins, if you want to keep down your costs, if not you have to rent them), free kayaking (you may see delfins in the sea close to the hotel - we did) for 2 hours every day, free bikes, and free yoga every morning, instructed by Sarah from UK. She was a very good teacher, and the group swelled while I was there. In addition, she was fantastic in massageing. I had som health issues when I arrived, which she dealt with in a very profound, flexible and professional manner, with very good results. Highly recommended. The marine biologist held some very interesting presentations in the evening about the species and coral life in the sea, We also liked that the hotel is on an inhabited island. It is though obvious that the Maldives and the local community have a big problem with plastic bottles and what to do with the rubbish . It is very good that the hotel tries to be more sustainable, using only glass bottles, and distilling the water themselves.

Amazing hotel with very friendly staff
Amazing experience overall! Couple of points for first time travellers... to get to hanimadhoo island, the only option is via 1.5hr domestic flight which costs about $340pp. Not much on the island other than the resort, but for a 5day stay, never felt the need to venture out much.
