Bonner Bridge is one of North Carolina's most well known man-made structures of it's kind (The Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is probably the most well known). This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle.

This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness.

If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location.

Bei der Buchung sollte man sich nur im Klaren sein, daß Hatteras sehr weit im Süden der Outer Banks liegt. Wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht - perfekt. Die Fahrt in den nördlichen Teil der Outer Banks zieht sich ziemlich. Also gut überlegen was man bei einem Aufenthalt dort tun möchte. The Villas at Hatteras Landing ist als Unterkunft wunderschön. “

„Great stay, the house is very conveniently located (50 feet to the beach, 0.5 mile to a Harris Teeter). There's some beach stuff (chairs, a beach cart, an umbrella, a few body boards). "Es war bereits unser dritter Aufenthalt im John Yanceys. Wir waren zu jederzeit sehr zufrieden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war wieder sehr schön, wie beschrieben und auch sehr sauber. Wir nehmen housekeeping eher seltener in Anspruch, konnten aber zu jederzeit Handtücher austauschen und neuen Kaffee erhalten. "Es war eig alles sehr gut wenn es nicht so laut gewesen wäre; Man hörte leider jeden Schritt durch von der nächtlichen Party der Nachbarn gar nicht zu reden - aber nachdem ich um 1am dann am Frontdesk anrief hat der Security das rasch geregelt - manche Eltern haben Erziehung leider aufgegeben! Dafür konnte das Hotel zwar nichts, aber es war auch so sehr hellhörig. Schade, weil es sonst gut gepasst hat!"
