Horrible resort
We were promised a sea view room but there was no sea view from our room upon talking to the hotel staff they were not willing to work with us and we had to take steps we are senior citizens and it was very hard for us. I will never recommend to my friends or family to stay there.

Service was very slow and some staff have bad attitude, food was awful and tasteless, room wasnt cleaned and had to complain, jacuzzi wasnt cleaned once. Would not return to this hotel or recommend it definitely not a 5 star premises

Poor Customer service and discrimination
I recently had a disheartening experience at this hotel as a Black individual. From the moment we arrived, my partner and I were subjected to fetishization and inappropriate behavior. The reception staff not only asked evasive and intimate questions about our relationship status but also made unsavory comments about our hair. We missed out on the opportunity to enjoy the highly acclaimed Michelin star experience due to our late arrival, which was caused by flight delays. Seeking guidance for alternative dining options, we were instead directed towards a refrigerated salad or McDonald's. The hotel shuttle service failed to provide any support in transporting us to the town center, leaving us stranded. When we requested to extend our stay, we were met with incompetence and were told that the receptionist could not help us and provide information about room rates. We experienced harassment from the reception staff at checkout. The only silver lining was meeting a helpful brother in staff from Uganda who provided us with some semblance of support and warmth. It is evident that this hotel is sorely lacking in staff training to prevent discrimination and foster an inclusive environment. I urge the management to address these issues promptly. In conclusion, my experience was marred by discrimination, incompetence, and an overall lack of respect for guests' needs. I hope my feedback will prompt necessary changes for future guests.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The property is quite isolated, away from the chaos of Fira and Oia, which is what we wanted. Fira is approximately a 10-15 minute taxi, which the hotel has shuttles for at specific times, as well, will happily organize private transfers for, charged directly to the room. The hotel being newer, I’d be concerned with the wear and tear of the property. Suite and public restrooms, certain public spaces, are quite warn. The gym and spa, as well spa facilities, have to potential to be exceptional, however, is not set up as you would expect for a 5 * hotel - products for purchase, cleanliness, bottled water, towels consistently in the gym, gym equipment was rusting and not sanitized. Make sure you come prepared, as the closest market/pharmacy is within the city. Magma has a high end women’s boutique and a jewelry display but nothing with sundries or essentials. Suggestion of some versatility, men’s items, children’s pieces etc. The breakfast is nice, has everything you may need-the items are consistent daily. The restaurant on site is some of the better food we ate while in Santorini. Everything was fresh and with great flavours. In room dining was good, however, with a higher price point, you would expect it to come with some accompaniments. A glass of water with lemon, bread, Parmesan with pasta etc. - pieces that create added details and add little to no cost for the hotel.

On arrival we were too early, the room was not ready yet, which is understandable. At 15:00, the check-in time, the room would definitely be ready. Back at the hotel at 15:30. Room was not finished yet. Many excuses from the hotel and they would make up to us. When the room was ready it was mentioned that we had received an upgrade. This turned out not to be the case it was room we booked. The hotel said, this is embarrassing and again excuses. Our room had no sunbeds by the pool which should be there, two days later we got one. The room was noisy. Location was also disappointing in terms of view. The bed was very good, breakfast was good and certainly also the staff there was very friendly and helpful. The staff tried very hard, but for the price you pay you also expect a lot and unfortunately they couldn't live up to that. We are still waiting on how they will make it up to us.

Lovely 4 days at Magma!
Lovely hotel. Marta is an excellent customer relations manager. Very helpful with our requests and always available to help! Beautiful property. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Lots of light in our room which was great! Food is great. Cocktails are great. Staff are super friendly. Stunning views. Areas for improvement: 1. Wider food offering at lunch and dinner. Food is tasty but limited choice if staying for more than a few days. 2. Pool area could be better spaced out. Not enough sun loungers and could make better use of pool area. 3. Gym is not the standard of a 5* hotel. Machines are old.

The hotel looks brand new, the interior design is just perfect and the theme colour are eye pleasing. The staff were perfect and friendly. If you book a room with pool, that's a plus although the main outdoor pool is just perfect with views to the see. Some reviews give a negative feedback bacause of its location but I think the opposite, that's a bonus, it's secluded from all the tourists and gives you a complete sense of tranquility. Yes it's far-ish from all places but there is free shuttle service few times a day although with limited seats. Breakfast is healthy and fresh. The hotel also has a gym and indoor swimming pool which we didnt use. Overall it gets 10/10 from me. We had such a great expereince and stay there, I'd like to thank all the staff specially Panos for that. I highly recommend this hotel.
