Entspannen in schöner Berglage
Hotel liegt an schönster, ruhiger Berglage. Super Startpunkt für anspruchsvollere Wanderungen. Weitere Startpunkte nach wenigen Fahrminuten (10 - 30 Min). erreichbar, auch mit ÖV möglich. Mietauto aber empfehlenswert. Gutes **** Hotel. Küche entsprechend gut, ohne spezielle Extras. Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstückbuffet. Personal von Reception bis Zimmerservice recht freundlich. Hotel und Küche entspricht den Erwartungen an ein 4 Sterne Haus. Kleiner feiner Wellness-Bereich. Kleiner Abstrich: Badzimmer sollten sanft renoviert werden. Werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wanderurlaub Gran Canaria
Das Hotel liegt inmitten der Insel und ist damit ideal geeignet als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Allerdings gab es jeweils nur bis Mittags Sonne, danach lag der Ort und die Umgebung im Nebel. Sonnenbaden auf der geräumigen Terasse im Anschluss an die Wanderungen war also nicht möglich. Das Zimmer war groß, nett eingerichtet, hatte ausreichend Stauraum und einen kleinen Balkon. Das Buffet-Essen ist übersichtlich und qualitativ in Ordung, keine Highlights, wenig Abwechslung. Essen a la carte sollte es zwar geben, wurde aber auf Nachfrage verneint. Das Personal ist freundlich, die Personalausstattung ist jedoch sparsam, so dass es oftmals mit dem Aufräumen in den allgemein zugänglichen Bereichen nicht geklappt hat. Im Saunabereich waren etliche Einrichtungen außer Betrieb bzw. haben nicht richtig funktioniert.

Ærverdig hotell over byen San Bartolomé. God middag, god frokost, fint rom. Storslagen utsikt fra balkongen på rommet, og romslige fellesrom. Bassenget med tak over var også fint, og en stor sol- og avslappingsplass med solsenger ga anledning til en fredelig stund med kryssordbladet i varmen.

Mycket trevligt hotell, enastående utsikt. Trevlig personal, bekväma rum, välstädat. Bra parkeringsmöjligheter, bra frukostbuffé (ja bacon finns😍). Inglasad pool. Hyrbil samt vandringskängor rekommenderas för att utforska omgivningarna. Glöm inte att klappa katten😺

Views from the hotel (restaurant, rooms) are breath taking. Our room was furnished with rustic furniture but it matches the atmosphere perfectly. Very nice pool. I hope to return some time.

Do NOT stay here if you enjoy good food
Most importantly, the restaurant here is NOT as described online. The website implies it is a proper restaurant making high quality, locally sourced food, but it's not even close... On our first night we walked down into the town (easy 10min walk, although a bit steep) and had a great meal at "La Cueva". On our second night everything in town was closed so we opted for the buffet in the hotel, and it was awful. It was the epitome of quantity over quality. Just really not good at all. If you stay here hoping for decent meals you will be disappointed. The room itself was large, but the bathroom tiny, even in a so called Junior Suite. The whole place smelt of drains. It was also very noisy, with little soundproofing between rooms. WiFi is free only in the lobby, and is too slow for anything except checking email. Using mobile data was much quicker. On a positive note, the location and views are absolutely spectacular, and it is a great base for hiking. Just make sure you can eat somewhere else!!

Charming hotel, but doesn't quite warrant 4 star
A thoroughly charming hotel but fittings dated and some detail lacking. Looks like it was styled in the 1970s and not updated. Limited room facilities, a kettle and tea but no milk or coffee provided, no minibar, poor tiling and grouting in bathroom, formica-faced flimsy sliding door to bathroom, no soap or other conveniences, no room service, sliding window to outside terrace doesn't lock (and easy access to the terrace from outside), rather industrial catering, Internet access slow and intermittent (and costs €6 a day).

The restaurant appears to be ok but 2 of are party of 6 spent two days in bed with food poisoning and was at appoint of seeking medical advice. There wasn't a hotel manager to speak to and staff where unhelpful. We where there for 7 nights the area is nice but to get anywhere in under an hour its almost impossible due to the roads.The spa is never attended and not clean children not watched at all when in the pool general unsafe.

Dit hotel ligt in een rustig en niet al te toeristisch gedeelte van Gran Canaria. Midden in de prachtige natuur en vlakbij de nationale parken zoals Rogue Noble. Bij het feit dat je bijna op een hoogte van 1.000 meter zit, heb je dus een erg mooi uitzicht over de vallei. En elke kamer met balkon heeft ook uitzicht op die vallei. Personeel is erg vriendelijk, behulpzaam en spreekt goed engels. Voor de rest, genoeg variatie qua eten en faciliteiten zoals een zwembad, spa en tegen betaling een massage. Echt een ideaal hotel als je van een evenwichtige balans tussen relaxen, mooi weer en (actief) wandelen houdt.

Utmärkt lämpligt för några dagars avkoppling med goda möjligheter till fysisk aktivitet. Betyget dras ner av en medioker kvalitet på maten och en begränsad vinlista. Obegripligt nog innehöll den inga viner från den intilliggande vinproducenten Bodega Las Tirajanas. Utmärkt frukost dock.

What a beautiful place this is. Views across the mountains and a lvely reception and bar area. Utterly peaceful. Each room has it's own sit on balcony with mountain views. Perfectly located for all the best hikes and with a lovely spa, sauna, pool etc and good, cold beer to come back to. This is a laid back place. Confortable but no uneccesary swank. ie fine to go to the restaurant in your hiking boots if you so choose. Great breakfasts, good coffee, but the dinner buffet is not so good.

Great hotel for hiking and hiding
The hotel is perfectly located for daily hiking. You jump on the 10:30 bus to Tejeda and then hop off somewhere on the way and then catch the 17:00 bus back from Tejeda somewhere along the way. There are a couple of circular routes available as well. Great massage, super friendly staff. The meat counter at the buffet was very good. Better than in a five star beach hotel. I like sleeping in cold and struggled a bit with the aircon. When I wasn't too tired and was anxious I could also hear dogs barking, but hey that's why they are called Canary islands. The hotel has very nice lounge/lobby area where I spent a lot of time reading while enjoying beautiful scenery. Walls of the hotel are covered in framed mirrors. My interpretation is that you ought to look into yourself while on holiday which I did. Great place to stay. I could easily give three or five stars, it is a state of mind, not of the hotel.

Smuk beliggenhed
Fantastisk beliggende hotel hævet over Tunte/San Bartalome´ med en smukkeste udsigt over bjerge og landsbyer i Barranca Las Tirajana. Perfekt udgangspunkt for bjergvandringer på fascinerende gamle caminoer. Anbefales!!

Tove, Stockholm

Gut: Sauberkeit, Personal & Service, Zustand der Unterkunft und Komfort des Zimmers
Mysigt, vackert hotell med god mat och bra läge
Andra året i rad som jag var där. Återkom pga det helt otroliga läget uppe bland bergen i den söta lilla staden San Bartolome. Personalen är hjälpsam, maten är helt fantastisk (hade halvpension). Spa-upplevelsen är otrolig och ingår. Tre olika sorters bastu, bubbelpool och simbassäng. Är det soligt blir det riktigt varmt även uppe i bergen i Januari. Möjligheter till vandring finns i närheten. Det enda minus var att det luktar lite starkt av parfym både på spaavdelningen och en del toaletter. Kanske lite slitet, men med tanke på priset sjukt prisvärt! Tycker att hotellet är mycket finare än vad som framkommer på bilderna på hotels.com.
