Hotel direkt an der Hauptstraße
Wir besuchten Freunde in der Nähe von Gardnerville. Obwohl das Hotel kaum Gäste hatte, bekamen wir ein Zimmer direkt an der Hauptstraße, es war unglaublich laut und spätestens ab 5:00 war an Schlaf nicht mehr zu denken. Das gebuchte Frühstück bestand aus einer Plastikschale klebrigen Oatmeals einigen Rosinen und Zucker. Der Kaffee war schlecht und kaum noch warm. Option zum Oatmeal war ein Schälchen Yoghurt. Ein Croissant und eine winzige Flasche Orangensaft kosteten $4,95. Es gibt ein Starbucks in der Nähe...

Clean and quiet. I'm very easy to park. The staff was excellent.Everybody was so friendly. What almost ruined my trip was expedia failing to Follow through with my modified Reservation on their end. That was the first time I used Expedia. And that was the last time that I'll ever use Expedia.

I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. However, it could be worse. I was happy to have my fur baby, but disappointed when I found out (upon arrival) that the park across the street does not allow dogs. The staff were friendly. Great location. No ice machine. Overall, it was ok.

King rooms get two body towels, two hand towels, and two wash cloths. Also, the coffee maker in the room does work. The grey cup for the pod wasn't in the right position for the lid to snap shut. We checked it. It works fine. Probably should have asked the staff for extra towels and how to use the coffee maker properly.

Overall the property was good. The rooms were good sized and the bed was comfortable. My room faced H395, so there was some traffic noise and noise from three bars later that night from folks drinking and partying on the Friday night I stayed. Staff was friendly. I will stay again, but will ask for a room away from the highway.

No frills hotel!
Check in was easy, staff was very nice. There was an odor in our first room. They offered to move us right away. No problems. This is right across the street from a casino and next door to a bar/restaurant. I was concerned about noise because this is an outdoor access hotel. It was surprisingly quiet but I imagine it depends on the guests. This is a no frills hotel. It's old but seemed clean overall. Bath towels are average. The bed was not comfortable. There is a wall heating/ac unit. We had a difficult time finding a comfortable room temp. The price was very reasonable. It's located in the center of town so this was convenient for getting around. They offered good donuts and beverages in the morning. They were nice and accommodating.

A calm port in a stormy world
A very comfortable, clean, generous operation. It's a beautiful location. The awesomeness of the staff is the best. It is extremely welcoming of pets, not put-out in the least that you're traveling with your dog. They were encouraging of it actually. Just a top-notch, humane, decent, kind group.

The Historoan was lovely when it first opened a decade ago. However, over the years it has not been updated and is showing its age. Prices reflect an upscale hotel but the amenities do not. Towels smell sour. The shower curtain liner was not waterproof and left puddles of water on the floor. The A/C was very loud and barely cooled the room. Pillows were lumpy. Landscaping was dead and dreary.

Unfortunately, it has always been an issue with the bar next door every Wednesday and Friday. And it's been going on longer than the hotel has been around.
