Stilvoll gealtert
Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und bekamen ein upgarde was uns sehr gefreit hat. Das Zimemr war gross und das Bett super bequem. Unser Zimmer lag zu einem sehr ruhigen Innenhof und war charmant und "schön gealtert". Den heutigen Masstäben entspricht der Zustand der Räume sicher nicht mehr und im Bad muss man schon sehr die Charme Brille aufsetzten um es nett zu finden. Insgesamt dürfte da und dort etwas mehr Staub gewischt werden, aber das ist sicher auch ein Teil der Authenzität des erwürdigen Baus. Die Lage ist prima, man kann überall in Florenz zu Fuss unterwegs sein. Insgesamt mit ein paar Einschränkungen empfehlenswert.

Eine sehr gute Unterkunft, die ich jedem empfehle! Sehr sauber, sehr freundlich, angemessenes Frühstück und tolle Lage. Uns war nur die Matratze etwas zu hart und es hat uns ein Schreibtisch im Zimmer gefehlt, aber abgesehen davon war alles super!

La habitación fue espaciosa, la recepcionista siempre fue muy amable, incluso me imprimió itinerarios del tren para ir a Pisa y nos obsequió un mapa de Florencia, el bell boy fue muy déspota, arrebataba las cosas y como no quedó conforme con la propina (€10) se “equivocó” al propósito metiendo gente a nuestra habitación cuando nos estábamos instalando. Por otro lado el bufet fue bueno. Un punto en contra del hotel fue que en la publicación anuncian al edificio principal, sin embargo y a pesar de que en la reservación decía que el hospedaje sería allí, nos dijeron que no había habitaciones disponibles en ese edificio y nos mandaron a otro, muy cerca a unos 30 pasos. Sin embargo el otro edificio es un complejo de departamentos donde un piso pertenece al hotel, lo cual vuelve muy molesto tener que desplazarte al edificio principal para desayunar o dejar y recoger las llaves. En el edificio que nos mandaron siempre habían personas entrando y saliendo, sacando muebles y ocupando el elevador. Lo cual se sentía inseguro. En la habitación hay internet pero no cuenta con smart TV. A favor tiene la ubicación, pues está a una cuadra de la academia, del domo y de algunos restaurantes. El personal no habla español pero si inglés. La calificación sería un 7/10.

Less than a 20 minute walk from the train station is definitely an asset. But the friendliness of the staff, the excellent breakfast and the historic building itself are great benefits to boot. Close to the usual historical sites, there are also plenty of places to eat within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The part of the building where the hotel is located is itself a historic building (convent and orphanage from the early 17th to approx. the 19th century. In one word: “great”. I would definitely return to the hotel should I be traveling to Florence again.

Amazing location and the historic architecture. The only problem with the Hotel was the cleanliness of the carpet in the room, found many crumbled hair on the floor! Staff are helpful and friendly. Also, if you are in the front rooms, be aware, the square in front of the hotel building is a spot for young people and students gathering and may be too noisy at nights until -1 am

The property is in an ideal location, and most of the staff was very nice. Except for one of the front desk people who was quite judgey whenever we asked a question. When we asked for an umbrella, he looked outside like we were nuts. When we asked for help with a dinner reservation, he was kind of snooty at our preferred time and argued with us that the restaurant wouldn’t even be open. It was of course, and absolutely packed, but we got in anyway.

Beautiful, historic property, right on the Plaza of the Annunciation, attached to the Galleria Academia (“David”) and walking distance to Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Santa Maria della Novella, Pitti Palace, et al. Staff is wonderful. Breakfast excellent. Only caution: A few rooms require a climb up a steep flight of stairs. If this is a problem for you, let the hotel know in advance not to give you one of those.

I loved this property in Florence. The staff was the nicest of all the places we went. They were very helpful and even offered us a fan for our room when we asked about the AC. The room was superb and I really enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal because it is within walking distance of the Accademia gallery and the cathedral. Lots of great food options near by with risotto and steak.

A great location in Florence - steps from the Duomo but in a less busy, quiet, and beautiful piazza. There were several good restaurants and a delightful cafe - Ricordi - just steps from the hotel. The staff in the hotel were exceptional in their hospitality and service. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was bigger than many American hotel bathrooms. This place is exceptional!!

This hotel was our absolute favourite of the five we stayed in on our Italy trip. The location is perfect - close to the cathedral, lots of excellent restaurants and walkable to all the sights we wanted to see, but not in a main tourist area. It is housed in an historic 16th C building on a piazza and our room was spacious with very high ceilings. We had a very comfy bed, a fridge, kettle a complimentary bottle of wine, and even a BATH - which made me very happy! One day we noticed that our fridge had stopped working so we let the hotel management know, and when we came home in the evening we found that it had been replaced with a shiny brand new one! Highly recommended.

The staff were wonderful and breakfast was adequate to good. I wish there had been more vegan options but I never expect that. Our room in the annex was far from the hotel. Great street, spacious room but not as nice as it looked in the photos. It was a bit dingy, carpet had big stains and the bathroom window opened up over what smelled like a sewer. Bed was rock hard, like the hardest, most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The room was on the third floor with a tiny 1-2 person elevator or three flights of stairs. Many keys. Overall the stay was good but I expected better.

Overall great location for the property, close to the Duomo and other sights. The challenge we'd faced was that the hotel, while located on a very picturesque square, was very loud two of the three nights of our stay. One of the nights there were a group of youths with a boom box right outside our window until 2:00 a.m., and when we reported to the front desk nothing was done. The next night was even worse - there was a 'street' party with a large truck and giant speakers where the windows of the historic building were literally shaking. This event went on until midnight, and when requesting another room not facing the courtyard (had actually done this after night 1) we were told they were fully sold out. The hotel staff was also frustrated with the party on the second night, as they were not aware it was happening. For that second night they did discount the nightly cost for the room, but honestly the discount wsan't worh it.
