I would describe this as a hostel rather than a hotel. The nuns who run it are all super friendly and it is very clean. The location is excellent - handy for the train station and an only short walk into the centre of Florence. You need to be aware that the rooms and the shower are very basic - sheets and blankets instead of a duvet - and there is a communal kitchen with a fridge and microwave in the corridor. You can darken the room using the wooden shutters and use your key to get into the hotel at any time of day or night. The one major letdown is that there is absolutely no soundproof and you can hear people in the speak very clearly in the next room or in the corridor. But I will remember the hotel for the nuns’ friendliness more than anything.

We had a great stay here! The staff were incredibly kind, rooms were clean as can be, location was within 20 mins walking to all sightseeing. The only downside of our stay was there was no shower in our room. It was simply a tub and a shower head that needed to be held by hand. This wasn’t the end of the world for us as it was only 2 nights and we made do just fine. I would definitely recommend for a short stay in Florence!

It is a bit basic. But it has everything you need. The city centre is on walking distance though you couldn’t tell. The rooms are really quietly located.

We liked it! Modest but clean and very spacious! Only downside was lack of a shower curtain and a little noisy from neighbors moving furniture.

We loved our stay here....the staff were extremely nice and helpful and was close to everything major youd want to see. We were able to walk to everything. Was also only 10 mn walk to the train station.

Safe and quiet. We ate at the Osteria Vecchio Cancello (spectacular!) which was just around the corner. The nuns were so helpful and kind, and let us store our bags for a few hours after we checked out. Would stay again!

Hotel and the staff were great and very responsive. Only thing is the walls are very thin and you can hear everything and everyone. For the most part it was quiet at night and no issues, but in the early morning you can hear everyone else (guests) talking and banging doors.

Helpful and discreet hostesses (Franciscan nuns), the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom layout was a bit awkward and its door kept banging on the bedside table when opened. Our only real issue was the noise from neighbouring guests. Woken in the middle of the night by a loud mobile phone ringing and loud voiced guest - ie the noise from neighbouring room can be quite invasive. Otherwise, it was lovely.

The nuns looked after us very well. If you are looking for incredible value for money, customer service and absolute spotless cleanliness in your rooms, then this is the hotel for you. The interior courtyard was also surprisingly peaceful. I was worried beforehand as it was just so much cheaper than the competition, but I would absolutely stay there again. It is basic, but wonderful. You cannot beat the customer service. Enjoy!

Absolutely no complaints. Room and common areas were clean. Hotel is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport and 15 minute walk to the main center of Florence. The train station is within a 10 minute walk.

Disfruté mi estancia en este lugar, es muy tranquilo y fue práctico que estuviera cerca de la estación. La habitación estaba muy limpia, pese a que se ve que los muebles son antiguos, todo estaba impecable. La hermana que me recibió fue muy amable. La zona podría sentirse un poco insegura por falta de iluminación pero nunca tuve una mala experiencia, incluso el día que salí a la está a las 6:30 am. El único inconveniente es que la calefacción no funcionaba.

Great stay! Very friendly and helpful front desk. The hall way where the rooms are may seem a little creepy since it’s almost pitch black throughout the day, but it was a nice stay overall. They had water bottles in our room for us and clean towels and bed sheets everyday. The bed is technically two twin size beds put together, but I believe that’s something that’s common out in Italy. Easy 5 min walk from the main terminal in Florence and about a 5 min walk to the Duomo.

As freiras são muito gentis. No entanto, há muito o que melhorar. Inicialmente observo que não há sinalização na parte exterior do prédio. Nos quartos: o chuveiro está na altura da cintura. É preciso tomar banho sentado na pequena banheira. O quarto é frio. A janela não fechava no último dia, e a cortina caiu quando tentamos abri-la. O chão é frio, sugiro levar chinelo. O café da manhã não vale a pena.

As freiras são muito gentis e simpáticas. Não há uma placa no exterior identificando o local. O chuveiro é na altura da cintura. É preciso tomar banho sentado e, nesse caso, molha-se todo o banheiro, além de ser difícil manter todo o corpo quente. O ar condicionado não esquenta. O café não vale a pena (não há variedade). No segundo dia não conseguimos fechar a janela (só abrimos porque elas abrem a persiana da janela, então à noite precisamos fechar pra cobrir a claridade) e a cortina cai se você puxá-la, mesmo que suavemente (pra fechar a janela sem querer mexemos na cortina). Em nosso quarto havia 4 tomadas. Só uma funcionava com frequência, as outras falhavam muito (uma delas só funcionava se a luz estivesse acesa). O chão é muito frio, não deixem de levar chinelo.

Choisi au hasard, un peu surpris du lieu nous avons passés un séjour enchanté. Les Soeurs sont au petit soin, toujours un mot gentil et de douce attention le tout avec beaucoup de discretion. Le petit-déjeuner est correct et de très bonne qualité. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel.

Vriendelijke nonnen, maar zeer gedateerd
Het is een nonnenhuis, de nonnen zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Alleen het is zeer gedateerd. Bedden zijn versleten en hard, je voelt letterlijk elke spiraal. De wcbril was kapot en je kan niet staand douchen, de douchekop moet je zelf vasthouden terwijl je moet zitten in een soort bad. Er is geen douchegordijn, als je gaat douchen is de hele badkamer nat. Het hotel is zeer moeilijk te herkennen omdat er geen bordje voor staat. De kamer is zeer koud, radiatoren doen het niet, maar de airco op stand 27 graden is het goed te doen. Voordeel is wel dat je net achter het centrum zit, je bent in 5 minuten bij de grote kerk.

Great place to stay in Florence
Very clean and spacious rooms, serviced every day with fresh towels and remade beds, communal kitchen areas and English TV channels. Hotel run by nuns who are polite and friendly, always with a smile on their faces :-) Location great and close to S.M.N. station, downtown Florence a 15 min walk.

シスターの笑顔にホッと癒されるひとり旅。
お値段以上だと思います。 駅裏辺りになるのかな、一瞬人通りが無くなるあたりではありますが、全然大丈夫。 簡単な炊事場　冷蔵庫使えるので買い物して温めることも出来ます。 ただ寒がりの人には冬場は少し寒いかも？しれません。 お湯は勢いよく出るので湯船無くても暖まれました。 裏庭が広くて日当たりの良い日は外でコーヒー飲みたくなります。

It feels very overpriced for what you get. No outlets in bathroom for electric razor or hair dryer. Beds sqeaky and uncomfortable. No coffee maker. We stayed 3 nights and towels never changed and had to ask for drinking water. Very stark environment. Not a hotel feeling Nuns who run front desk were very nice from Indonesia and Vietnam. Rooms clean.
