A really good place to stay, full of character, comfortable rooms and a wonderful rooftop terrace. The manager, his wife and the staff are all lovely, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was very good and the coffee great. The manager is proficient in a good number of languages and is a good conversationalist if that’s what you want (I did). Our rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels supplied.
Staying here, you are right in the middle of the Fez media, an amazing place full of life, character and people.
My one bit of advice is: if you have not been to anywhere like this before and are staying in one of these many hotels set in those areas just off the main tourist area - which I think is a much better option than staying in one of the big, upmarket, non-Moroccan, out of the main town, hotels - then it might be better to arrive in daylight, as the narrow streets can seem daunting at first sight in the dark. That said, the shuttle driver took us to the front door so you’re not going to be lost.
