Hideaway Cabin

Truly an escape from the ordinary, Hideaway Cabin will be your favorite place to rest, relax, and gather with loved ones. 

Take a dip in your private indoor swimming pool during all four seasons. Whether it's during the heat of the summer or during those Pure Michigan snowstorms, you will love having this private amenity to enjoy. Please note, that the pool cover must stay on at all times when the pool is not in use.

Recently given a whole new look, Hideaway Cabin is fresh, stylish, and the perfect place to enjoy our beautiful area. The open great room with soaring ceilings features a large flat-screen TV with Direct TV cable service, a seasonal gas fireplace (available in the winter), and lots of comfortable furniture for everyone to sit back, put their feet up, and relax. The adjacent kitchen is open to the great room and dining room so you can all be together while doing your own thing. 

The fully equipped kitchen boasts a snack bar with seating for 4, microwave, toaster, Keurig, coffee maker, and all major appliances. Cooking up a lazy Saturday morning breakfast, Thanksgiving dinner, or any meal in between will be a breeze in this space. The dining area has seating for 6-8 adults around the table. Please note all indoor dining seating is on high-up stools. 

Step out the sliding glass doors onto your spacious deck. Here you will find two tables with seating for a total of 12 plus relaxing lounge chairs. What a great place to enjoy a meal alfresco or sip your morning coffee while the sun comes up. Just off the deck is a sprawling yard that leads to the fire pit area. This built-in fire pit has benches for seating and there are camp chairs available in the house for your use as well. Roast up some marshmallows as you watch the lightning bugs fly by with the stars overhead.

Back inside the house, you will find four comfortable bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The master bedroom ensuite is spacious and offers a private balcony overlooking the ravine. The master bathroom has a jetted soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower for your convenience. An additional main-level bedroom and bathroom are perfect for those who do not wish to do stairs. Upstairs you'll find two more bedrooms and a full bathroom with shower tub combo. Don't miss the loft area which provides an extra space to hang out and sleep on the sofa sleeper. 

Located in the country, yet so close to all the fun. Less than 5 miles away you'll find a selection of wineries, breweries, and orchards such as Crane's, Fenn Valley, Virtue Cider, and Modales. You'll also want to take advantage of the roadside stands for local homegrown produce. Hop in the car and you'll find both downtown Douglas and Saugatuck only 10 minutes away. Here you can shop, enjoy a meal, and walk along the waterfront boardwalk. If Lake Michigan is calling your name, be sure to check out our famous Oval Beach. There is also hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, gallery strolling, boating, and so much more to do in our area. 

If you decide to explore or to stay at home, you will love having Hideaway Cabin as your home away from home.

Use of the swimming pool is at your own risk. The cover must be on at all times when the pool is not in use. A $350 fee will apply if the pool cover key goes missing.
High speed and phone line internet are not available in this area. Wireless internet is available via a Jetpack hotspot. This means only a few people can be connected at a time and only 1 TV can be used for streaming at a time. We would love to provide high-speed internet for our guests, but it's not yet available in our area. 
This home is situated on the edge of the woods overlooking a ravine. It is common to see animals, mice, and other vermin. The property is serviced monthly by a professional pest company, but sometimes vermin do sneak in. Please let us know right away if you see evidence of anything inside and we will send out pest control. No rate adjustments can be made for vermin in or around the house.
Exploring the adjacent woods may look fun, but this area is filled with poison ivy. Please stick to the areas of the lawn that have been mowed for your enjoyment.
Use of the bicycles is at your own risk. We do not guarantee the upkeep or service of the bicycles.
If you use any of the recreational items provided in the garage, please put them back where you found them before your departure.
The loft area, which includes a queen sofa sleeper, does not have window coverings.
While this is a secluded, country location, the driveway is shared and you can see 1 neighboring house from the property.
