Das Hotel.direkt in der Innenstad ist eine perfekte Destination für Familien und kleinere Gruppen. Der ausserordentlich freundliche und zuvorkommende Staff bietet von Anfang eine familiäre Umgebung. Es gibt zudem in der Nähe viel zu entdecken, für gross und klein. Saft und Kaffee bedürften allerdings einer Aufwertung. Das Buffet ist trotzdem gut, fast sehr gut.

Simply overpriced
This hotel was the worst value for money I ever had. The room was standard for a medium-range hotel, and fully OK as a standard, but it came at the prize of a luxury hotel; the pictures also suggest that it is more high-end that it actually is. At roughly 340 EUR a night, this is simply disappointing.

Hotel liegt direkt an der Royal Mile, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig. Kurze Wege zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, zum Bahnhof und zu den öffentl. Verkehrsmittel. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hotel ist sauber, Zimmer etwas klein, im Bad keine Ablagemöglichkeit. Frühstück war okay. Würde immer wieder dort absteigen.

Perfekte Location, bequeme Betten, top Sauberkeit, Kaffee und Tee ins zimmer( wie überall in UK) Satellit Fernseher mit Netflix ist sehr gut weil die pubs jetzt um ca 23 Uhr schliessen ( COVID) Negativ: Das Zimmer war klein und Bad auch. Am Bad beim duschen kam Wasser raus.

War jetzt zum 2. mal an Weihnachten im Ibis Huntersquare. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, Zimmer sehr ruhig und sauber. Housekeeping optimal. Und die Lage mitten auf der Royal Mile ist optimal. St. Giles gleich nebenan und zum Castle oder Holyrood House jeweils 10 min. Ebenso günstig zum Airlink Bus zum Airport auf Waverly Bridge nur 10 min zu Fuß.

Zimmer und Service waren klasse. Auch das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Personal war freundlich. Und es wird sehr auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet. Durch die zentrale Lage in der Altstadt und der Nähe zum Bahnhof war man sehr gut angebunden.

War über Weihnachten im Ibis Hotel Edinburgh an der Royal Mile, Hunter Square. Lage: In der Mitte der Royal Mile gelegen, bester Ausgangspunkt für Castle, Holyrood, Museum, Waverly Station, Centre etc. St. Giles Cathedral gleich um die Ecke. Zimmer: sehr sauber und absolut leise. Service täglich Tip Top. Service: Ein junges Team, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, unkompliziert! Frühstück: für jeden was dabei und absolut reichhaltig. Von süß bis deftig. Meine persönliche Note:5*****, kann es nur empfehlen .

Great location to explore Edinburgh
Great place to stay in Edinburgh especially given the central location. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area as well as supermarkets. Easily reachable from the train station or the airport. The rooms are very nice and new. WiFi is also one of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel with a very reliable and fast connection. Only minor let down for me was the service via WhatsApp (they removed phones in the rooms), as they unfortunately never got back to me and also seemed to be slow to respond in general, judging by last seen.

A convenient stay in central Edinburgh with lovely staff and good security measures on a busy square. Our room was quite tiny (barely room for our suitcases) and the street noise kept us awake even with the hotel-provided earplugs, but they do make a point to warn you about the noise due to the location. Overall it worked for our needs, but was not the most comfortable night.

Close to Royal Mile. Rooms are small and depending on the room, corner rooms on inside of building have poor ventilation. Though a fan is supplied and the window opens slightly, there is no airflow but this is typical of most places in UK. Don’t think they know what HVAC is there.

We stayed here during our vacation and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are very clean and had everything in the room for us to use. It was such a great location that we walked everywhere and we didn’t want to walk. We can just get whatever we wanted brought to our room. I will definitely be staying at this location again. Excellent hotel. I always try to stay here when in Edinburgh for work. But for how long? £220 per night is completely extortionate. I could not afford to stay here as an independent traveller, nor could I justify it.
