We enjoyed the fact that it was easy to get to right off the interstate, but you have to drive through a car dealership parking lot to get to it! The one thing we did not like about this particular motel was although the breakfast was somewhat hot and plentiful, they are not diabetic friendly at all! When asked about certain things such as sugar free syrup for the waffles, or anything else sugar free they just look at you like your some kind of freak! Other than that it is a great place to stay!

The room was pretty dirty when we arrived, recepricles and outlets were loose from Walls and baseboards were loose too, which although not seeing any makes me nervous about things crawling through. There was no screen on window. I have a baby and four year old twins With me. I expected better from a hundred dollar hotel. The hot breakfast was very tasty.

We like the hot breakfast of making your own waffles, sausage, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. It was nice to have orange juice, coffee, and teas too. Since we're in a time crunch, we like the convenience of NOT having to find breakfast elsewhere.

Booked last second to stop, sleep, and leave, and it was very nice. Checked in after midnight with friendly staff. Breakfast was typical fare. Overall very happy with the choice to stay here. If you're looking for a reasonably priced night or two in Des Moines, you can book with a high degree of confidence that you'll find great value here.

I have stayed here many times. Close to restaurants. Clean, heat works well, good water pressure. Breakfast is very good, the usual, waffles, sausage, eggs, b&g, cereal, breads and fruit.

Our room was not cleaned in the 3 days we stayed there. We didn't get clean towels or our beds made. I asked at the desk and they said they were down to one housekeeper, but that doesn't excuse a basic service that you pay for.

Honestly this is a solid hotel if you’re looking for to stay a night or two in the Des Moines/Johnston area. The only thing is it just needs to be updated would be nice if it also included a hot tub in the pool area, besides that can’t complain a very solid hotel.

The room itself was recently redone and was nice- comfortable and quiet. I always appreciate when the sink and the toilet/shower are separated. My biggest complaint was that the lighting in the bathroom area was dim and hard to do makeup under. The hallways and common areas had not been redone, but they were clean and comfortable anyways. The breakfast was really good- they made sure things were ready for us early since our team had to leave really early in the morning. They had the exact same things every day, which I appreciated knowing what to expect. There were dogs, which I was expecting to be a nuisance, but I never heard them once I was inside my room. You could hear some barking in the halls, but that was it. The hotel just happened to be in a kind of awkward spot where there were a lot of people hanging around outside (hotel guest just smoking? Random people? Who knows.) I was traveling with students (ages 14-18) and I did not really feel comfortable having them out and about in common areas.
