I really appreciate your feedback and would like to take this opportunity to mention a few things for future reference: The cleanliness of the penthouse is the highest priority for me and to my guests. I would prefer to communicate with the cleaning crew about their work soon after their job was done for any issues that need to be corrected (hopefully the same day; it is harder to talk to the crew and address specifics a few weeks after departure). Communication on any issues during the stay is essential for an enjoyable experience of the stay. If guests find any items that should not be at the penthouse, or something is missing/inadequate, please let me know as soon as possible so that they can be removed/added promptly. A new cleaning sponge is provided for each stay. Sometimes guests may use a sponge once and leave it under the sink. Please feel free to discard it if cannot be reused. Cleaning crew use their own supplies. Occasionally previous guests may leave some drinks / wines / beers in the wine cooler. A/C filter will be replaced as soon as possible. It is on a regular maintenance schedule. Clean sheets and bath towels are left folded next to or on the bed. The crew do not make beds, as some guests prefer to bring and use their own sheets. The folded sheets are clean (if a bed is made, it is hard to tell whether the sheets have been used). While the air conditioning is running, it is best to leave all doors and windows closed in order to reduce humidity and condensation. This is crucial for an oceanfront property so close to the beach/ocean. Although taking out the trash is not mandatory, almost all guests took out trash as needed and before leaving. Taking out trash during a long stay is highly recommended. The dumpster is emptied every Monday except holidays. For people who book months ahead, rental agreement and additional information/notes are sent to guests about one month before arrival after the final payment is made. If one needs them sooner, please let me know. Large and heavy chairs are put at balcony to withstand big winds. The penthouse is on the top floor; any items blown way would potentially be hazardous. Please do not leave any items on balcony other than those chairs. We welcome suggestions for amenities. Please check/ask before booking/arrival. One cannot benefit from and enjoy the amenities added based on the suggestions made after departure. No plans for adding ceiling fans (please close all windows and doors when AC is on) or closets at this point. Folding chairs, table leaves, and vacuum cleaners will stay in a closet just in case. Folding table and chairs were added for people who may need to have zoom meetings at a suitable spot. An air purifier will be removed. This penthouse is not a full-service hotel. It is a vacation home. We appreciate our guests giving us suggestions, sending us lovely pictures, and leaving the penthouse in great condition.
