Dieses Hotel entspricht nicht dem Shangri La Standard, den ich aus anderen Häusern kenne. Die Terasse ist oft für Privatanlässe gesperrt. Ständig steigen laute Inder-Parties, die man bis sehr früh in den Morgen bis aufs Zimmer hört. Die Hotelvorfahrt ist total überlaufen und ein ständiges Geschrei und gehupe. Nein, hier gehe ich nicht mehr hin.

Toller Service aber feuchtes Zimmer
Service ist Fantastisch, da gibt es überhaupt nichts auszusetzen. Allerdings gibt es 2 Abwertungen. 1. Das Zimmer ist für den Preis viel zu klein. Aber darüber kann man wegsehen. 2. Und das geht gar nicht. Das Zimmer ist feucht weil es im Badezimmer keinen Abzug gibt und der Dampf aus der Dusche sich im Zimmer ausbreitet. Dadurch riecht das Zimmer muffig. Wenn der Service nicht wäre, würde ich nur ein genügend vergeben. Hier vielen Dank vor allem an Neha für den sehr freundlichen Empfang.

Great hotel and very central location. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean. The gym is very well equipped. We did not use the pool. The buffet was over the Xmas holidays simply amazing!

Great hotel except for the hectic breakfast
After a nice check-in experience we had a great stay for two nights on the 19th floor. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms and attentive staff. Only the breakfast experience in the Tamra was a bit of a downside. The breakfast choice in the Club Lounge on the 19th floor, which offers a great view over Delhi, was too limited for us, so we went down to the main restaurant Tamra in the first floor which offers more breakfast options. But in the Tamra there is barely enough room to process all the hotel guests. This lack of space and the strange setup of the various dispersed cooking stations in Tamra creates quite a frenzy. The consequence is too much hectic and a waiting queue at peak times instead of morning serenity of the Club Lounge. The hotel should work on this in order to enhance overall customer experience, e.g. open a second restaurant for breakfast or rearrange Tamra somewhat. Otherwise the Shangri-La can be higly recommended. Thanks Ajay for the good housekeeping.

Perfekter Aufenthalt
Es war nicht unser erster Aufenthalt in einem Shangri La Hotel. Entsprechend hoch waren unsere Erwartungen. Die wurden auch übererfüllt. Wir erhielten ein free Upgrade auf ein Deluxe Zimmer. Der Service war topp, die Küche und das Frühstück hervorragend. Wegen unserem späten Abflug konnten einen Late checkout um 18:00h ohne Aufpreis machen. Kundenfreundlicher geht kaum mehr!

Exzellenter Service in absoluter Wohlfühloase
Das Hotel verfügt - wie für Shangri La üblich - über absoluten Weltklasse Service, von der Rezeption über die Fahrer, die Kellner, die Masseusen, die Zimmermädchen - durchweg zuvorkommend und freundlich (ohne aufgesetzt zu wirken). Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist sehr hochwertig und für Delhi sehr außergewöhnlich (gibt dort nur wenig vergleichbare Hotels). Unbedingt mit Frühstück buchen, das Buffet ist gigantisch! Saree Draping im Salon und Balinesische Massage im SPA sind ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Nachteilig war nur mein frisch renoviertes Zimmer, welches sehr nach Chemie/Farbe gerochen hat, der Geruch hing noch Tage nach meiner Heimkehr in Kleidung und Gepäck. Abgesehen davon würde ich aber jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

Zimmer im Horizont Club - einfach Spitze
Wir verbrachten 5 Tage in der 19 Etage/inkl. Nutzung des Horizont Clubs. Der Service und die Einrichtung sind sehr gut. Abends kann man sich ab 18 bis 20 Uhr zusätzlich an einem Buffet bedienen. Die Restaurants und die Bar mit Terrasse sind ebenfalls sehr gut. Der Pool bietet eine Erfrischung. Allerdings ist es nichts, um dauerhaft dort zu liegen. Der Verkehr ist zu laut, was bei einem Stadthotel klar sein sollte.

The food option for Indians were not great. If you want European breakfast and American breakfast it’s great. Tons of options. However, we leave the US for Delhi to have Indian food. The buffet is $20 plus tax per person. We hardly ate cause we wanted more veg Indian food. Staff was great! The hotel itself is great very pleasing to the eye.

We have been always a fan of Shangri-la, but this experience at Delhi completely changed that, we will never stay at a Shangri-la again. We arrived almost 11pm, exhausted, the front door staff “ordered” us to scan our luggage, it felt that we are passing an airport security check, then at the front desk, we were told that our executive suite (for which we paid for USD $500 per night and on Ecpedia site advertised “Sleep 5”) can only have two adults; they surcharged us our 18 year old child, when we showed to them what Expedia site said, they blamed on Expedia for false advertisement. I subsequently asked them to write a letter so that we can show to Expedia, they then backed out from their story. Also when one of our friend questioned the need to scan every passport including the minors, the front desk manager threatened not giving us any room (leaving us to the street)

Pros: clean, amazing breakfast. Flexible and allowed us to reduce one night of our stay. Cons: staff is friendly but not competent. They sold us an upgrade only to realize a day later it wasn’t available for our entire stay and we had to change rooms in between. Hotels seems to think it is ok to run telemarketing campaigns for restaurant bookings. It was very annoying to get calls in the afternoon when our kids were sleeping.
