„The stay was ok. It was pur first visit to this hotel. We understand they are still remodeling & getting everything in place. There was no breakfast and no outdoor patio as shown on website. The bathroom in our room was extremely small but it functioned. The updates were great but i think the layout of our room was difficult to maneuver but that is just my preference. „Our room was clean. It appeared nice and tidy. Bed clothes were clean with several layers available or your comfort level. Nice sized refrigerator. „Lovely older home. We loved that it was right next to the river. Unfortunately it was rainy & cool the whole weekend, so the guys couldn't fish & we couldn't take full advantage of the screened porch. Maybe next time! It wasn't too far out from Elkins, so that was nice, too. Beds were comfortable. We took the Tygart train ride & actually saw the house from the train. That was cool. Beautiful area!“

„We stayed for the weekend in cabin 1, it's a beautiful cozy cabin where it is possible to cook and to relax thanks to the sauna inside the cabin. It's important to know that there is nothing in the neighborhood, so it is a place to relax (like we wanted) or to sleep while travelling somewhere else. „This was a very charming beautiful old house. Perfect weekend stay for us and our fur babies. Thank you for allowing them! Perfect little fenced in back yard for them to run around a bit. Nice comfortable bed for us. Everything was wonderful. Could use a bit brighter lights for overhead but loved all of the soft lamps and decorations. Everything we needed for our weekend get away.“

„Overall enjoyed this cabin. Did end up having trouble with the hot tub, called the help line, spoke with someone in the office, she was a little rude about the hot tub button not working. Sent a guy out, he was very nice told us that we just had to prime the button and explained it to us.“

„This was a very low key and relaxing place to stay. There weren't a lot of rules for clean-up that made it feel like you were doing something wrong. Very simple - keep your bed unmade and put your towels on the floor and close the windows. The owner was responsive and kind. Nice cottage feel to the place. We would stay time and time again.“

„A quaint, charming little hideaway! This place had everything we needed and more for our long weekend. So many quant touches - board games, books and other little amenities that one may need. We experienced a couple of hiccups during our stay, however Liz was very responsive and acted quickly. I gave check in 4 stars as the address in the listing wasn’t accurate and we had to contact Liz to locate the property. We would definitely book again and will likely do so for next year!“

„Really nice property and cabin; however, we were only there an hour and a half before a transformer blew and the power was cut off due to a windstorm. So we were unable to spend the night. The owner was amazing and understanding and submitted a full refund. I would love to book again another time and have the opportunity to enjoy it.“

„Our Cheat River stay this second time, was exceptional.. They did some changes (an overhang over the hot tub) that we thought was going to be bad (You want to see the sky there) But turned out awesome! We were able to be in the hot tub with snow and sleet coming down AND able to watch baseball at the same time. The beds were comfortable, pots and pans and everything we needed for a great stay. Also, the mgmt was very responsive when we needed them. We will for sure be back!! Thank you!!“

„We were in town for work. This home was a great place to come back to each night & relax. Quiet, clean & comfortable. We loved the open spaces & all of the windows!
