Thank you for your review we are glad to see that you like the room I wish you would have contacted us about the internet I could have reset the router so you would have been able to get good internet when we have a lot of people in and out of the building at jumbles up the router sometimes but thank you for staying with us

Hello, Jermy, we had painters painting the rooms on the opposite end of the hotel. We apologize for the inconvenience. We had around 20 rooms rented out at that day. Most of the guests checked out by 9:30 am because the water was shut off between 11:05 am till 11:15 am to fix a pipe urgently. We apologize again for any inconvenience that caused. We are now done with all the renovations. Our guests are extremely happy to stay in newly painted rooms. We are very sorry. It was one time event during the renovation. We thank you for coming. Please come again. I promise it will not happen again.

The price was good. They offered free water. The room was clean but they need to change their towels. Horrible towels. The towels are so thin because of over used. At the last day, we noticed that at the bottom of our bed sheet there was a a bloody looking stain on it. We think it was a paint because they just painted their furniture. We are better in checking our bed sheets when we first get into our room but this time we didn't do a very good job. Hopefully, it was not blood .

Matthew, sorry for your concern. I can assure you we do not use bloody or any spotty bedding. The painters were rushing to finish last 5 rooms. They covered the bed setup rooms with their clear plastics. The spot you saw it might have been from the headboard stain. All the rooms were painted and all the Furnitures were stained. I am sorry for the inconvenience. We could have switched you from that room had you informed us. We are definitely changing the towels. The towels we ordered were for the contractors. We do have some fluffy towels in our linen storage. But we are aware of this issue and will address soon. We apologize for it.

Room had no place to hang clothes. No iron. Heater would get to temperature and then blow cold air, had to unplug it to reset it. Ceiling was patched with ceiling tiles in random spots. Only chairs to sit in were banquet chairs. Needs updating severely. It's the only hotel in town so they have a monopoly. This is the second time we've stayed hoping it would be better, it wasn't. Wont be back.

Hello, Mr. Gavin, had you called us to discuss about these issues, we would have explained everything for you. 1- The closet to hang the closes is on the right side of the bed, in the very corner next to the side table.2- A day before you arrived, we had a bad leak from the ceiling. We had to fix it quick and get it ready to accommodate you. That was the only one handicap room we had left. 3-Handycap rooms are restricted to have non-movable furniture. The chairs you had, will be replaced by a lightweight armed chair. We apologize for the inconvenience.3- You requested a handicap room Please look at our reviews. We have just renovated the whole hotel. We are still in a process to fix few more rooms. We hope to see you again in future. Hope you will discuss about the issues so we can accommodate you of your need or explain you the reason why certain item are not allowed in the handicap rooms. We than and appreciate you.

All things considered, this was a great place to stay. What we didn’t realize when we reserved our room was that a late arrival (by us) was going to make things more challenging. Fortunately, the hotel contacted us and we were able to get checked in, all through our phone, thanks to the cooperation of the person working at the hotel. This was all done while we were still on our way to the hotel. The person could not have been more polite, courteous, and accommodating. I’d not hesitate to stay here again, but would need to better anticipate and address a late arrival (around 1:00am) ahead of time.

Hello Michael, thank you for your kind words. I am glad you got accommodated through the self-check in arrangement. We agree it should be clearer the third parties of the reservation channels. By the way, the Expedia has our cut off time 11 pm the latest. Our website also has the notice that we do close the front desk at 11 pm. We important thing to keep in mind is to please be aware of the shortages of the employees especially the late hour employees. Majority of our guests arrive by 9 pm the latest. We have not totally given up on those guests who check in late hours. We make a special arrangement to have them come late to self-check in with special instructions. By the way, we do answer phone calls all night long for emergency. We thank and appreciate you.

Cumberland Gap a nice place to visit
The hotel had a very pleasing appearance from the outside, and the room was very nice and clean. I like the little balcony off the back of the room. Cumberland gap is a nice quiet little town, and I would highly recommend staying at the Cumberland Gap inn. One last thing I would suggest that they get decaffeinated coffee if they’re guess so desire.

We are renovating exterior and interior. At the moment we are so busy that we can't get to interior but we planned to slowly get to interior renovation. Hello, Thanh, I am glad you had good time staying at the hotel. The hotel is in the middles of the wilderness. We advise our guests to keep the doors close especially the back door where the freshwater creek is. By the way we have pest control once a week as well as the City of Cumberland Gap has its own pest control. As far as Tv cable issue. We are only phone call away. Our maintenance person can fix this problem in matter of seconds. The tv signal mess up when someone ends up punching numbers on the remote control accidently. We appreciate you. Please come again.

Will Stay Again
I stayed here twice on a trip recently - one of the way there and then on the way back. I was looking forward to staying there on the way back because my first stay was so pleasant. I was able to walk to get different kinds of food and then sit on the balcony listening to a little creek. Quiet place too.

Hello, Ms. Ronda, thanks for your kind review. We thank and appreciate you. Yes, I agree the limited options in the area but that makes it unique. It is quiet, surrounded by trees and mountains. However, there are three restaurants known as 1919, coffee house and Angelos. Plus, a bar that is known as Caboose. Couple of Antique shops. We are access to the hiking and wilderness. We attract, large number of LMU students and their parents because we are only 5 minutes away from LMU. We stay so busy that we have to turn down at least 20 guest a week.
