Leider war die Unterkunft nicht wirklich sauber. Ich weiss nicht wann das letzte Mal richtig gesaugt wurde. Als wir geduscht haben, lief Wasser irgendwo bei der Türe raus. Die Badetücher waren sauber aber fleckig. Die Rezeptionistin war sehr freundlich und die Lage der Unterkunft war sehr gut, jedoch war für mich die Unterkunft zu wenig sauber

Hier ist noch Luft nach oben.
Das Motel hat schon bessere Tage gesehen. Die Lage ist fantastisch, direkt am Ufer und einer alten Mole, und es ist ruhig. Positiv : Die Zimmer sind frisch und geschmackvoll gestrichen. Negativ: Die Möbel waren heruntergekommen. Außer einem Sessel und dem Bett gab es nichts zum Sitzen und auch keinen Tisch. Auch konnte man den schönen Ausblick mangels Bank oder Stuhl nicht draußen genießen.

Right on the edge of downtown Rockport and a very short walk to the waters edge where there is a concrete breakwater structure to fish along a channel with good fish movement. I was not in Rockport for any of the seasonal many events. I was there to do maintenance work on a boat I store near Rockport and needed a place to lay my head. I was pleasantly surprised by the room accommodations, the cleanliness, the friendliness and the location. This little jewel is a great value! I highly recommend The Bay View Inn as a place to wind down after a day of exploring Rockport and it's surrounding areas whether you are exploring the area with your family, as a couple or on your own. Great A/C, shower, queen beds with a sleeper sofa and a good sized refrigerator with upper freezer compartment.

Construction of underground pipes right out front of the hotel. No pool. The only staff is 1 lady who checks you in. I saw no other staff. I picked this hotel to see if I could bring my dogs the next time but there is no way I will do that having been there. The toilet seat has one bumper out of 4 causing the seat to be wobbly. Lots of flies in the room as well.

We ended up having to leave the property due to noise. The walls are paper thin so when the drunk idiots neighbors checked in, the woke my baby up several time. The slamming and yelling at 11p was not what you look for in a property. The neighbor ended up banging on our wall. The property was filthy and you can tell that it is only swept but not mopped. It appears nothing like the pictures so don’t let it fool you. Not sure how it has so many stars.

Bedsheet kept coming off at the corners; didn’t fit properly. Quality of TP was better than last time. Smoke alarm was hanging loose from the ceiling but the last at the desk said it does work; just needed to be put back in place. No Do Not Disturb sign in the room but didn’t ask for one. Housekeeping gave us clean towels every day.

Disappointed
Very disappointed with our stay. The room, #1, literally next to the office clearly had not been cleaned. First night we’re woken by “metallic” banging noise. Second night , hip hop bass most of the night. The sound was not coming from outside. We’ve stayed here before and had been a pleasant stay. Never an issue. This time it was a failure. Do better.

Don't stay there
I reserved a room for my daughter for 3 nights over Thanksgiving, as we stay in an RV. She arrived the first night and thought the room seemed chilly but ok. Woke up to decaf coffee only. Next day, Thanksgiving, she spent the day with us, when she went back to the hotel at night, room was cool again. Office was closed. The next night she told the man at the desk and he offered her another room but she was leaving early the next morning and accepted a blanket instead. Our complaint is the terrible customer service when we complained. The management was so rude and NEVER apologized. She only blamed us for not accepting another room on her last night, or not calling the posted phone number after hours. This is a warning to anyone who books there, you're on your own. Bring your own coffee and blankets! And don't complain because she'll bite your head off!

best sunrise
This is a convenient place to stay while spending a few days in the Rockport area. What really makes the experience is the new harbor breakwater which is literally right next door and well within walking distance, probably the best place in the area to view the morning sunrise.

The first room we got was dirty the toilet didn’t work. The second room they offered us was never cleaned by housekeeping the third room we had had stains all over the sofa and no sheets on it. Property management needs to inspect rooms after housekeeping to reinsure property cleaning is done.

We got in late Friday night. Check in was quick and easy. The room was nice for our weekend trip. It was clean. The only issue was the water pressure in the bathroom barely any water came out through the sink. We also found a fish hook in the floor glad my kids didnt find it first.
