Unfortunately, as with any city hotel, safety can be of some concern, but we can assure you that we have full round-the-clock security in and around our hotel. Hi Dr. Sipos. We thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We appreciate your feedback. In regard to the location of our hotel, we send out a detailed message via Expedia, and emails to all our guests before check-in to help assist with directions. We're on an iconic Cape Town walking-only street which can make us tricky to find, but we think it is part of our charm, hard to find, hard to forget. We appreciate your feedback on our pillows; however, we can assure you they are not covered in paper and are definitely not filled with plastic. Our pillows are high-quality 300-400 thread Hollowfiber and our linen is hypoallergenic. We do use feather pillows. As it's currently August, and our Winter in the Southern Hemisphere, we put our heaters on in the restaurant every morning and keep them running throughout the day. Unfortunately, the weather during your stay was one of the coldest we have experienced in some time, which is why you saw our staff wearing coats, they often serve guests throughout the hotel including on our deck outside, which is uncovered and at the mercy of the winter elements. We are sorry to hear your restaurant experience was not what you were expecting.

With regards to our location, we understand that it may be tricky to locate, however we do send out detailed emails before each guest's stay informing them of accurate directions and information before checking in. We host band nights in our venue on the 1st floor of our hotel, and also leave letters in the rooms beforehand, informing guests of the event and inviting guests to join in on the fun. We are sorry to hear that this was not satisfactory and truly hope we get the chance to welcome you back again.

Hi Kathy, thanks for your detailed feedback, we appreciate it and always strive to make our guest's experience the best it can be! We acknowledged the error on the booking site and let you know prior to your arrival, we proposed additional options to accommodate your stay requirements. We advised we have a 2 bedroom suite and that the 1 bedroom can be split into 2 single beds. We also offered the option of an extra studio room and reduced the fee of the 2 bedroom suite, we're sorry this wasn't satisfactory. We do not offer a concierge service and there is no mention of it on our website, we have very helpful Guest Relations Executives who assist hotel guests. Our amenities are also advertised on all platforms including a gym, a pool, a pool deck, a restaurant, a bar, and a lobby.

Hi Ali, we always value our guest's feedback and appreciate you for taking the time to leave your review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your time in our restaurant, Gigi is always a firm favorite! We do not have a gym in the hotel; however, we have guest access to the gym next door to our hotel, a short 30-second walk away. We don't have irons in the room, but guests can call reception to request one with an ironing board delivered to their room. We understand your concerns around our location, however, as a city hotel these are the challenges we face in Cape Town and South Africa in general. We do have full-time security to make sure our guests are safe but obviously, we cannot guarantee what happens in the rest of the city. We understand our hotel can be hard to find (but hard to forget as well), and we send this in a detailed email along with directions, before our guest's check-in.
