Lage des Hotels ist sensationell! Im Herzen der Stadt gelegen ein Traum! Frech fanden wir aber die Parkkosten mit 20 Pfund für eine Nacht im nahegelegenen Parkhaus. Das ist teurer als in Venedig.. sonst alles super, Frühstück top..!

In diesem Hotel haben wir vier Nächte verbracht. Ein früherer Checkin war nicht möglich, wir konnten aber in der Unterkunft unsere Koffer aufbewahren lassen. Das Parkhaus befindet sich nicht direkt am Hotel, man muss schon noch ein paar Minuten mit Gepäck laufen. Das Zimmer war groß und gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten zwei sehr große Einzelbetten, die wirklich bequem waren. Etwas erstaunt waren wir nach der 2. Nacht. Wir hatten morgens unsere Handtücher im Badezimmer auf dem Fußboden liegen lassen, wo sie abends noch immer lagen, ohne dass frische Handtücher hingelegt wurden. An der Rezeption haben wir dann zwei Handtücher bekommen, angeblich gäbe es bei den Handtüchern gerade Engpässe. Trotzdem ärgerlich-hat das Housekeeping erwartet, dass wir ggf. freuchte, benutzte Handtücher des Mitreisenden nehmen? Am 3. Tag wurde nicht richtig gewischt im Bad. Wir hatten ja nun keinen frischen Duschvorleger, sodass wir nichts auf den Boden liegen hatte, sodass man eindeutig gesehen hat, dass nicht gewischt worden war. Ansonsten war das Hotel in Ordnung. Die Lage war super und das Personal freundlich. Besonders freundlich und in positiver Erinnerung blieb die junge Frau morgens beim Frühstück. Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Stadt, man hat gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe und beide Bahnhöfe sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar.

The location was ideal and we were able to access the historic centre and the tourist locations. Staff were extremely helpful and recommended dining options. The room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast was generous with a wide variety of food on offer. We would definitely stay here again.

The parking is kind of a nightmare, there’s nowhere to unload your bags and you can’t park on the street. The staff are really nice and there’s a little bar that’s open 24 hours so you can get drinks and snacks. The breakfast is good.

Having both lifts down for over a day was a bit of a hassle only because I was a single traveler with 2 suitcases. I had to carry both down 4 flights if stairs. Understanding that this was over a bank holiday, some assistance from staff would have been appreciated.

A fine hotel at this price-point: excellent location not far from the railway station in one direction and the cathedral in the other. Perfect for a walking tour of Canterbury. It is a modern building with a traditional style 3 storey street-front. As an added bonus, it has an archaeological site in the basement, visible through a glass floor: the remains of a D shaped Roman theatre built around 220 AD.

Great hotel in centre of Canterbury. Good breakfast and very reasonable price. Would use again.

Highly recommended
A great choice for a stay in Canterbury. The hotel is central and within easy walking distance to the Cathedral, city walls and the shopping precinct. There’s a wide choice of bars and restaurants close by. Rooms are compact but very comfortable and breakfast offers a good variety of hot and cold plates. Staff are both welcoming and helpful. We would certainly recommend this hotel and happily return if visiting the area.
