Nette kleine Ferienwohnung in Stadtnähe
...mit eigenem Garten. Alles so angetroffen, wie auf den Fotos zu sehen. Die Wohnung wirkt nur kleiner. Steile Stufen ins Obergeschoss, ansonsten liebevoll eingerichtet. Danke für die schöne Zeit!

Empfehlenswert
Mitten im Zentrum ein paar Meter von der Einkaufszone liegt das gemütliche Haus. Ein großer Parkplatz ist in der Nähe, zu dem man ein paar 100 m geht es. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen, obwohl das Haus sehr zentral ist ist es ruhig gelegen. Mehrere Spiele (Xbox WEE) haben die Kinder erfreut, ein super Ort, um von hier aus Flüge in die Region und nach London zu machen… Sehr empfehlenswert!

Sehr zu empfehlen, kommen gerne wieder
Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Sehr schön eingerichtet, Alles da, was man für eine Woche Urlaub braucht. Sogar Spülmaschinentabs, ein Liter Milch, Kaffe und was man sonst noch so braucht. Sehr zentral gelegen. Tolle Restaurants in der Nähe und unschlagbar: der Parkplatz am Haus. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

So britisch und zentral - nicht zu überbieten!
Wir wollten typisch britisch übernachten, und ein ganzes Reihenhäuschen in zentraler Lage war perfekt. Es ist alles sehr liebevoll gestaltet, und am besten war der Willkommenskorb mit einer Grundausstattung an Lebensmittel, so dass man einfach ankommen und genießen kann. Klasse war auch der Autostellplatz fast direkt vor der Tür, denn sonst ist das Parken echt ein Problem. Es hat auch was, im Garten hinter oder vor dem Haus zu sitzen. Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wirklich super, toll eingerichtet, 1a Lage mit Parkplatz, sonnig!
Ein wunderschönes, typisch englisches Reihenhaus in einer Sackgasse nur 200 m vom Stadtzentrum. Toll sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht plus Sonnenterasse!

Sehr charmant, sehr britisch, sehr schön!
Schönes, sehr britisches Cottage mit einem kleinen Garten jeweils vor und hinter dem Haus. Es gibt einen Grill und einen Feuerkorb, man wird gebeten, verbrauchtes Holz bzw. Holzkohle wieder aufzufüllen, was mehr als OK ist. Die Ausstattung ist zweckmäßig, der Platz war für zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder ausreichend. In der Ausstattung bei Ankunft ist alles vorhanden, was man zu Beginn braucht, um nicht gleich zum Supermarkt rennen zu müssen. Es gab sogar Wein für die Erwachsenen und ein paar Süßigkeiten für die Kinder. Das untere Bad mit eigener Dusche ist zwar klein, aber hilfreich. Die Lage zum Stadtzentrum genial. Wir haben unser Auto nur für einen Ausflug vom dazugehörigen Parkplatz wegbewegt. Wer es zum Schlafen wirklich dunkel braucht (so wie unsere Kinder), sollte sich Verdunklungsstoff mitbringen, das gilt aber für so ziemlich alle Ferienwohnungen in GB. Wir hatten vier sehr schöne Tage. Vielen herzlichen Dank an Chris und Deb. Perkins!

nicht zu viel versprochen für 3 Erwachsene und ein Kind
Die zahlreichen kleinen und großen Annehmlichkeiten lassen sich gar nicht alle aufzählen. Man fühlte sich sofort zu Haus. Die Lage war ideal. Nähe zu samlicher Infrastruktur: Läden, Restaurants, Kaufhäuser, Sehenswürdigkeiten und auch Verkehrsmitteln. Das Haus war im mehrfachen Wortsinne warm. Super, wir kommen gern wieder!

Perfekte Lage
Die Lage nahe der Innenstadt von Canterbury war perfekt! Hatte man doch - abgesehen von ein paar Möwen - Ruhe im Haus, so war man entweder von der Couch aus mittels Wi-Fi quasi "zu Hause", konnte man jedoch binnen nicht ganz zwei Minuten die malerische Innenstadt zu Fuß erreichen. Gleich am Anfang der Zone waren Supermärkte, die mit guter Qualität und geringen Preisen aufwarteten. Die historische Innenstadt werde ich nicht weiter beleuchten; das kann man im Netz umfangreicher. Das Haus zählt zu den typischen englischen Arbeiterreihenhäusern. Der Platz war ausreichend, die Treppe etwas steil in den Schlafraum in der ersten Etage, aber alles war sauber, aufgeräumt und typisch "english" halt. Das Haus war gut, der Parkplatz für mehr als einen Audi A4 etwas kurz, aber man kann halt nicht alles haben. Gerne wieder!!!

Das Cottage ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und auch sehr gepflegt!
Man fühlt sich hier wirklich sofort zuhause, es ist alles da, was man braucht. Das ganze Haus war frisch geputzt und alles war blitzsauber! Auf dem Tisch empfing uns ein Korb mit allerlei Leckereien. Es wäre alles für den ersten Abend da gewesen, von den Nudeln über die Kekse bis hin zur Flasche Wein und Limonade. Super nett! Wir waren zu fünft dort, so dass eine Person im Wohnzimmer geschlafen hat. Trotzdem war durch das bequeme Esszimmer noch genug Platz, gemütlich zusammen zu sitzen. Man wundert sich, wieviel Platz ein so kleines Haus bietet. Im Garten war sogar Brennholz im Feuerofen vorbereitet. Man hatte wirklich an alles gedacht! Die Lage des Hauses könnte besser kaum sein. In einer winzigen Seitenstraße findet man absolute Ruhe, obwohl man quasi mitten in Canterbury wohnt. Sehr bequem gegangen haben wir kaum zehn min bis zur cathedrale gebraucht, und keine fünf bis zum Busbahnhof. Wirklich perfekt!! Wir waren alle restlos begeistert und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wonderful experience apart from two items that might have been helpful to know in advance: parking at a distance due to challenges accessing the property by road; the precipitous stair case which would be a significant challenge to anyone with even slight mobility challenges. Enjoyed our stay at Augustine Cottage.
Perfect location to main street (mall) of Canterbury only being maybe 10 minute or less walk. Well stocked to cater for guests including books for light reading. Heating system was very effective. Garden patio with table and chairs in front and back were appreciated on the fine, sunny days. Booklet of general town information and instructions for the heating system and tv etc kept us well informed. Check in information was easy to follow. Initial communication on booking was also easy to navigate. Beds were comfortable. Two rooms and two bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this cottage.

Charming and spacious cottage in great location
Well-stocked, great location (you can see Canterbury Cathedral spires from the front garden), charming decor and spacious floor plan easily sleeps four or five. My kids loved the extras (X-box with plenty of offline games), and my wife and I enjoyed watching some DVD’s from the owner’s collection, including the Spielberg classic ET, on the widescreen TV in the parlor. Warm gas fireplace in parlor and instructions on how to use. Much better option than any local hotel!

Très bon séjour
Nous avons passé un très bon sejour. Emplacement idéal. Très bon contact avec le propriétaire. Parking inclus dans la location et facile d'accès. Le point à ameliorer est la propreté du logement. Ménage certainement fait rapidement entre chaque locataire. De plus nous sommes restés 9 nuits sur place et nous n'avions pas d'aspirateur à disposition. Pour une famille de 4 personnes ça fait long sans ménage. Linge très propre. Logement bien équipé.

Superbe séjour
Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour. La maison est très très proche du centre ville, nous avons tout fait à pied avec un enfant de 4 ans. Située dans une petite impasse, le logement est très au calme. Il nous a été réservé un emplacement de stationnement sur un parking public très proche également de la location. La maison est particulièrement propre et bien équipée, la literie est très confortable. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Leuk huis Centraal gelegen
Huis is mooi Victoriaans huis, caracteristiek ingericht en schoon. Er zijn veel dingen (magnetron, ventilator, waterkoker) aanwezig. Huis ligt op 3 minuten van centrum Canterbury en ook op 30-45 minuten van Dover, diverse badplaatsen. London is ook een uurtje met de trein. Parkeerplaats in de buurt en supermarkt om de hoek

It was a great experience for our week in Canterbury. Easy walking to so many things, including train station only 17 minute walk. The rooms were comfortable and visually calming and if we needed anything the grocery store was 5 minutes away. The best part was the owner had quick response especially when the power went out one night. Totally would stay again if need be.

Great Location to explore Canterbury
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage but would make the following observations; 1. All of the electrical PAT testing is out of date 2. The BBQ was not clean and available to use 3. In the downstairs shower room, the washbasin is so small it is not really available to be used as a full shower room 4. Overly complicated TV remote controls - 3 of them and not clearly marked which was for each TV/Sky box etc 5. Could not get the TV in the dining are working at all 6. Inconsistencies in the arrival/departure instructions between email, welcome book and blackboard in kitchen eg time of arrival stated as 3pm and 5pm, departure time as 9am/10.30am and 11am. Also parking outside….possible or not possible? The positives however were: 1. Lovely fluffy new M&S towels in the bathrooms 2. Well fitted out kitchen with lots of utensils, pots/pans etc 3. Good location for the centre of town 4. V clean 5. Thank you for sorting parking in Longport car park in advance of our arrival.

Expectations
This is a typical 150 year old English flat, total of about 15’ wide. Steep stairs is an understatement. The bathroom situation is very awkward. Not good for two couples. This unit would also be difficult for elderly. It is dated and tied. It works, but know what your getting. Location is convenient.

Our property is a traditional Victorian terraced house and we note in our description that as is typical of cottages of this type that the stairs are quite steep though we do have handrails (one on each side of the stairs) and stair gates for kids and pets. We do have two bathrooms but only one is on suite.

Lovely and central with convenient parking
Perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, aged 2 and 6, having all amenities we needed. The staircase was quite steep, but child gates were available. Car park was a few minutes wall away so we just parked and walked our things over. House and garden are lovely. We had a great time and would stay again.

This place is ideally close to city centre although being placed in a quiet little cul de sac and is 5 mins to shops and about 10 mins to cathedral. Very clean and tidy. Had small problem with Tv but was easily rectified.. Would definately recommend.

Perfect!
Absolutely loved our stay in St. Augustine's Cottage. Location was fantastic, easy to walk to all of the attractions that Canterbury has to offer. The cottage itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds. The cottage was warm and it was lovely to relax there in the evenings after our trips to the Kent coast. Really appreciated the welcome basket and the added extras, especially the coffee! Thank you Neil and Joanne for your fantastic communication and for enabling us to have a much needed break.

This is our second stay at the cottage and it continues to deliver. In a city with little parking, the benefit of off-street parking cannot be mistaken. Ideally placed to walk into the City as well as short drives away from the likes of Whitstable and Dover Castle.....we will be looking to stay a third time!

Excellent location in Canterbury
A very cosy house on a perfect location in Canterbury. The house is clean and specious. 2 big size bedrooms and one with own bathroom. Dining room and good kitchen with view on the garden. Just about 400 m from the city center,! With own parking space. A good price/quality. Surprise was the welcome basket with all sorts of food👍
