Schönes Hotel, super Lage, schlechte Betten
Sehr zentrale Lage auf dem Gelände der Kathedrale, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Vorreservierter gebührenpflichtiger Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel. Eintritt zur Kathedrale im Preis enthalten. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes englisches Frühstück. Alles sehr angenehm bis auf die Matratzen der Betten. Es waren die schlechtesten unserer gesamten Reise, viel zu weich, durchgelegen und defekt. Auch der Austausch der schlimmsten Matrtaze gegen eine andere brachte nur wenig Besserung. Dafür war diese Matratze nur 70 cm breit. Nach Aussage des Managements sollen die Matratzen der Doppelbetten bereits erneuert sein und die der Zweibettzimmer bald folgen.

We were in the Annex and on reflection the main building was nicer. Our room was a bit tired such as very thin walls and hence noisy and the bathroom needed some attention. Small point but pillow were terrible and had to be changed for second night. Overall location was great with a really nice coffee shop and great breakfast. All staff were very good with special mention to the car park lady who was our first point of contact and very welcoming.

A fleeting visit but the experience was exceptional. Felt as if I was in 'seventh heaven' when my parking place was adjacent to the Cathedral, next to the hotel and secure overnight. Greeted in such a friendly manner and my room was one of the best In have ever had the privilege of staying in. I very much hope I will der able to repeat the experience and enjoy a longer stay.

Excellent clean hotel with a really positive group of helpful staff . A great place to stay with some added touches such as bottles of cold water available. Restaurant is first class! I enjoyed playing the lute in the Camps olé garden having been hired for the Canterbury Heritage week.

Wow, pleasantly surprised
We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! FANTASTIC, unparalleled views of the cathedral (like front-row seats) from their lovely garden. Great cooked breakfast that included in the very reasonable price. Lovely staff. Convenient parking. It was a major factor in making our Canterbury experience excellent.

God beliggenhet
Hotellet ligger bra til, men vi bodde på Burgate anneks til hotellet med rom ut mot gata, der var ikke air con og måtte ha vinduet åpen hele natten, da rommet vi hadde lå, tidlig på morgen kom diverse søppel bil og annen trafikk støy. Vi tenker at på selve hotellet ville slik støy ikke ha forkommet. Service og mat var bra på frokosten. på kvelden kan du sitte på en benk og nyte stilheten og se på kirken uten at der turister. Vil anbealle kveldsmesse hverdag kl 1730 stemningsfullt

I stay here twice a year, and absolutely love it. What could be better? You get the Cathedral and precinct pretty much to yourself once the public have left for the day. There’s a fantastic garden where you can watch the sunset over the Cathedral whilst sipping a glass of wine.

Lovely service and great location! It was amazing to be so close to the cathedral. We would say however that the style of the hotel is a little outdated but that’s purely based on personal taste. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the garden overlooking the Cathedral was beautifully kept.

Central beliggenhed
Hotellet ligger lige op af Canterbury Cathedral og man har som gæst på hotellet gratis adgang til katedralen, som er utrolig smuk og et must-see. Hotellet ligger lige midt i byen med få minutter gang til alt. Man kan hvis man er heldig og efter aftale parkere udenfor hotellet for 10£ /24 timer. Værelset er normal god standard med god seng. Morgenmaden er dejlig og varieret.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel is actually in the cathedral grounds so entrance to the cathedral is included. The hotel itself is modern and is as nice a hotel as we’ve ever stayed in. Breakfast was excellent.

Everything was perfect!
Very comfortable place to stay. Very quiet atmosphere, every part of the lodge was clean and well arranged. The front people are all friendly and polite. I could enjoy the traditional English breakfast. The price was extremely reasonable. Impossible to complain. I highly recommend everyone should try this place.

Excellent location for visit to Canterbury.
This is the ideal place to stay for a visit to Canterbury, especially if travelling by car with no intention of using it while there. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Great views of Cathedral which is only a few metres away from hotel. Make sure you book a car parking place.
