Despite having ordered a room for 3 people (two adults and a child- noted on our reservation in writing) and having called prior to ensure there would be an additional bed/ trundle etc, on arrival/ checkin we were told the room would only sleep 2. When asked what our options were, we were advised that we could pay for an upgrade at a ridiculous price, which would enable the staff to set up a single bed in the room. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. After hours of being misled, delayed after an eight hour long journey when all we wanted to do was checkin, we continued to be stuffed around, we eventually checked in to a room that slept two. Oh, and car parking is not included. During our stay, our room temperature was changed so that the room would be hot instead of cool like it was some joke to the staff. We have stayed in other Meriton hotels/ apartments before and never have we not been able to have an additional bed in the room especially when we have rang ahead to ensure the additional bed would be provided. The staff were juvenile and not experienced and completely unhelpful.
