“Das Hotel liegt sehr schön, direkt oberhalb des Meeres.”

Das Hotel ist sehr ansprechend. Es war überaus sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Leider hatte ich ein Einzelzimmer gebucht. Man sollte als einzelne Person, dann lieber ein Doppelzimmer zur Alleinbenutzung buchen, was zwar etwas teurer ist. Das Zimmer ist aber auch dementsprechend viel besser. Mein Zimmer war viel zu klein. Bett, Nachtschrank, Schreibtisch, Stuhl und Wandschrank. Der Balkon war mini. Es stand nicht einmal ein Stuhl oder ein Tisch auf dem Balkon. Wenn man auf dem Bett saß, und sich nach vorn gelehnt hat war man praktisch schon auf dem Balkon. Man konnte ihn nur betreten um mal kurz eine zu rauchen. Ein gemütlichen Aufenthalt war nicht möglich. Außerdem war war das Zimmer mit Blick zur Straße. Nicht so angenehm, auch morgens ziemlich laut, wenn Anlieferungen oder die Müllabfuhr kam. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage an den Klippen. Dadurch hat man aber das Gefühl es besteht nur aus Treppen und Fahrstühlen. Um von der Rezeption zu meinem Zimmer zu kommen mußte ich zwei verschiedene Fahrstühle benutzen und noch ein Stück innerhalb des Hotels laufen. Das war gar nicht schön. Aber bei der Lage nicht anders möglich. Alles befindet sich auf einer anderen Ebene. Die Pools sind viel zu klein. Schwimmen nicht möglich. Es gibt einen schönen aber kleinen Strand. Das Meer dort sehr klar und sauber. Der Ort selbst hat gar nichts zu bitten. Man muß also, dann woanders hinfahren. Sei es mit dem Bus oder mit dem Auto. Essen war Super Klasse. Autostellplätze zu mieten.

“Beautiful location”

We were travelling as a group of 3 women staying in 2 lateral seaview rooms. We were upgraded to a 2 double bedroom & bathroom suite overlooking the sea. The resort was low key and up market. The little beach round the corner was lovely. There is not a huge choice of places to eat outside the hotel but I liked Sorrentos which was 3 minutes away and offered a seafood & meat BBQ for 17 euros a head. I had a very relaxing break.

“Great hotel, bad booking allocation”

After paying extra for a sea view we were put in an apartment block at the back of the hotel, past a bus stop and across a public street! Going back to these apartments from the hotel pool (quite some distance away at the bottom of a hill) would involve passing through the hotel reception, past a bus stop, across a public road, into another reception lobby and up another lift!! Not very convenient..... we complained. We were told that the hotel was full and we could not swap our room. We made the booking in Mid January! The original sea view room we had been allocated had been given to someone else! We eventually got a swap, which involved us having to re-pack all our cases! We talked to other holiday makers who made bookings in the weeks previously and they were also told they had full sea views; and ended up being put in this rear apartment block. The booking is a big blot for a hotel that has great features and location, and WONDERFUL food. The hotel also has entertainment laid on, but if you are in the rear apartment block the volume is deafening!! My tip for this hotel would be to play to its strengths, and not pass off rooms that has a partial view of the sea as FULL sea view, it isn't full sea view if there are buildings in from of your view!

The hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel was great for the price and is in a really nice neighborhood. Very close to the beach and has great amenities. I would definitely stay here again!

“Nice hotel”

My first time in Majorca and was surprised how easy it was to get to the hotel from the airport by bus. (no 1 and then no 3 stops outside the hotel) The hotel was fine for what we paid. Got a room overlooking the sea and as we were there at the start of April i think it may have been the first time the room had been used since the year before as there was a very bad smell when we arrived. A bit of airing helped. The food was fine and plenty to choose from. The staff seemed friendly enough. There is a lot of steps around the hotel and it is on a hill so something to think about if this is a concern.

“Past Sell By Date Hotel”

Illetas is lovely, peaceful and quiet. Hotel is ok, just ok. it needs updating and refurbishing. Silly things like a picture had obviously come off the wall and had not been replaced with anything else, just left with a picture hook! Tiling in bathroom had been patched and botched - bit messy and unsightly. Furniture in room had seen better days. Why on earth dont they heat the swimming pool? Was blimin' freezing! The sea was warmer! Good service though and friendly helpful staff. But if you stay here, dont do HB the buffet is dire!!!!!

Very happy with my stay at this hotel; the room was cleaned daily and the view was lovely. The buffet food was very good with a varied selection to choose from. My only gripe was with the fact that drinking water was not provided for the whole day, only in the morning. I was stopped by the head waiter when I got myself a glass of water in the evening and told that I would have to pay because the staff waited on us for drinks in the evening. Also no fridges in hotel rooms, therefore had to keep buying cold water from the supermarket, which proved quite expensive. However, overall I would recommend this hotel.

“Great place to stay”

We stayed at the Hotel Roc Illetas Playa in June 09. Although we arrived after dinner they prepared supper for us on arrival, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The hotel is in a lovely location and kept to high standards. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent with a wide selection. If I have a negative, the food by the pool bar was not as good in the second week of our stay as in the first week but as we were out most of the time this was not a problem for us. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. On our last day we had an early departure, they offered us breakfast at no cost! A lovely place to stay and will certainly return in the future.
