Perfekt und sympathisch!
Der gesamte Aufenthalt war rundum großartig. Schon im Vorfeld haben wir super Informationen von unseren Gastgebern bekommen. Ricky und Martin waren unglaublich sympathisch. Wir fanden bei der Ankunft 6 ganz frische Eier aus der "eigenen Produktion" vor. Die Unterkunft war ebenfalls ganz toll. Auch bei regnerischen Tagen haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles in der Wohnung war perfekt vorbereitet. Die Dusche ist genial! Die Küche ist mit allem, was man braucht ausgestattet. Es gibt eine gemütliche Sitzecke in der Mezzanine mit Ausblick zum Ententeich und bereitgestelltem Fernglas für die Weite der Landschaft. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft. Die Lage erlaubt Ausflüge in alle Richtungen, sowohl zu Fuß als auch mit dem Auto... ans Meer, Moorlandschaften, schöne Küstenorte, Gärten und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir kommen gerne wieder, sobald es möglich ist.

3 great weeks in a wonderful flat in North Cornwall
We stayed at the "Corn Store" in Woolley near Bude from 17 July to 06 August and had a great holiday. The flat is very modern and lovingly furnished and offers enough space for 2 people. We felt very comfortable during this time. Riki and Martin are wonderful and very friendly hosts who provided lots of information, travel documents for things to do in the area, maps, etc. and were always helpful with advice. The guests have top priority. The Corn Store has a fantastic view of a small pond and the green fields of the surrounding area. At the pond we saw many swallows, sparrows and other songbirds as well as a kestrel. Furthermore, the Corn Store has a balcony where you can enjoy the morning sun. Besides 2 cats, Martin and Riki have 9 chickens in a beautiful run, whose laid eggs are very tasty and are offered to the guests. Woolley is a small village. One is dependent on a car. The next bigger town is Bude, a beautiful coastal town with lots to see. The surroundings and landscape are simply fantastic. Even 3 weeks were not enough to explore everything. We did many walks along the coast and cycled the Camel and Tarka Trail (45 to 60 minutes by car). We were in Clovelly, Bostcastle, Tintagel, Hartland Quay, Tamar Lake, on the island of Lundy, etc. If you like walking, you can expect incredible views along the coasts. If you like to eat in the pub, you should definitely visit the Bush Inn, a historic pub from the 13th century. Also nearby (about 15 minutes by car) is the Rectory Farm Tea Room, a beautiful tea house/cafe that serves the best cream tea in Cornwall. It was one of the best holidays we have ever had and we will definitely come again. Thank you to Riki and Martin.

Feels like home
If you go to Cornwall this is without any question the best place to stay. The Corn Store is a beautiful place, very well equipped with nice little details and individual taste. Riki and Martin are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and they gave us a lot of good information about the area. The surrrounding is more than amazing, we experiened the ancient wood, did some excellent walks at the coast, went swimming and enjoyed the beautiful landscape. It was a fantastic stay and for sure we have to come back, because we have the feeling there is so much more to discover. Thank you both for a wonderful time and we hope to see you again in Woolley! Cosy home from home
Greatly enjoyed my stay The Corn Store. The apartment was spotless and every small detail had been thought of; it was incredibly cosy and comfortable. The beautiful views and log fire were such a treat. Riki was amazing and had provided so much detailed information on the area. I essentially worked my way through a list of her recommendations and had great fun exploring nearby towns and coastal walks. The Corn Store was also the perfect place for a solo getaway, to get some peace and quiet to relax, and to get some writing done. I would highly recommend and will visit again!

Fantastic property, fantastic hosts!
The Corn Store is beautifully laid out and perfect for two with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Little touches like dishwasher tablets, washing powder to tea bags along with a welcome pack of milk, bread, biscuits and fresh eggs from the hens make this property excellent value for money. Riki and Martin are friendly and helpful without being intrusive and shared their wide knowledge of the area and local events, including the rig regatta at Clovelly. The Corn Store is located perfectly for accessing the main attractions of North Devon and East Cornwall. We will definitely be back again!

Absolutely Five Star!
Spotlessly clean and Riki and Martin have thought of everything you need for your stay at the lovely Corn Store! I can’t say enough of the flat: the bed is comfortable, the ensuite bathroom is deluxe, the kitchen is well equipped (and knives are even sharp!), and it is quiet in this little hamlet in the country. Riki and Martin are very hospitable and helpful with their suggestions of their community. Make sure to hike some of the Coastal Path from Hartland Point to Hartland Quay. It was so beautiful! Also, the cream tea at the Refectory was delectable!

Fantastic Property
The Corn Barn is the most wonderful place to stay in a lovely location. The Corn Store is probably the best designed property we have stayed in. It is light and airy with generous sized rooms and heaps of charm. Spotlessly clean and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. Riki and Martin were welcoming yet unobtrusive and we would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely property to anyone visiting the area. The front steps are steep if you have mobility problems, but it was perfect for us.

Comfy Cornish get away
The Corn Store is a lovely, spacious space for two, equipped and finished to a high standard. Riki was great to deal with, attentive though intrusive, and helpful with recommendations on what to see in locally during our short stay. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The mezzanine is a lovely spot to sit, as is the balcony (although I only managed 10 minutes as even in the bright sunshine it was pretty cold outside. The apartment itself was very warm with or without the log burner lit. We travelled 4 hours to get there for a 3 night stay, and it was definitely worth the drive. It felt like we were away for much longer. There's plenty to see, do, eat and drink within a 20 minute drive.

Another Fabulous Stay at the Corn Store
Second time this year back at the Corn Store and the 6th time in total. Ricki and Martin are great hosts, maintaining the property in excellent condition and providing both a warm welcome and lots of helpful advice and guidance on things to do and places to visit. The Corn Store is well appointed and ideal for two people. Everything necessary to cater for yourself and relax after a day sightseeing or walking. The location just off the A39 makes it both easily accessible at the start and finish of your stay but also means that the prime tourist locations of the North Devon and Cornish Coasts are easily accessible. Some fabulous cliff top walks are only a short drive away, as is the lovely town of Bude. Highly recommended and, following two visits in a year, we cannot wait to return.

Simply wonderful!
Thus is a real home from home. Riki and Martin have carefully and meticulously planned this open plan space and it works so well. It was lovely to be in a well planned kitchen with plenty of space. The design exudes peace and calm and we loved returning to a relaxing, clean environment after a day at the beach or spent walking. It is conveniently placed for both and there are plenty of suggestions of things to do whatever the weather. Riki and Martin really have thought of everything- it was a delight to be here and we both completely switched off and enjoyed the calm. Thank you - and also for the eggs!

Another Fabulous Stay at the Corn Store
Back to the Corn Store for the fifth year running, which is a huge recommendation in itself. The property has been thoroughly modernised and is fully equipped with everything that you could require for a week's holiday. Riki and Martyn are welcoming and helpful hosts, responding promptly to the few requests made over our 5 visits and full of excellent advice and guidance regarding places to see and things to do. The Corm Store is in a quiet rural setting, albeit within a few hundred yards of the A39. Ideal as a base for exploring North Cornwall and North West Devon. Looking forward to returning.

Wonderful holiday cottage
The Corn Store was an excellent cottage in a rural setting to enjoy spending our 4 night break in October. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful from start to finish. The wealth of information provided in the cottage of places to visit and things to do was invaluable. The cottage was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with great attention to detail. We liked the mezzanine level looking out across the fields offering a different view which was very welcome. The eggs provided for us from their free range chickens were absolutely the best I’d ever tasted. Despite a real mix of weather, it is England after all, we enjoyed exploring Bude, sunset walk overlooking Widemouth Bay and Morwenstow, Lanhydrock house (40m away) and the Bodmin and Wenford Steam railway. Don’t miss a visit to awesome Hartland Quay which was fantastic ( parked at top as it’s very steep!) Wish we had had time for a coastal walk there too. At only half a mile from the main road it has good access to explore the area. Would definitely recommend a stay to our family and friends.

The Jewel in the North Cornwall Crown
Couldn’t be happier with our experience here. From pre arrival communication everything was spot on. The hosts were very friendly and attentive. They made it known that they were there if needed, but were not ‘in our face’. Very nice people. Everything has been said on other reviews but we must mention how spotlessly clean everything was. The best we’ve experienced. The Corn Store is decorated, equipped and furnished to a very high standard, just to our taste. No cheap short cuts. Everything had been thought of, including plenty of hooks on doors. It sits in a lovely area and, as animal lovers, we enjoyed seeing the 2 cats and 8 chickens on site, and a field full of cows from the mezzanine window. We visited the Bush Inn and Old Smithy for food and drinks and would recommend both. We made an excellent choice for our Cornwall getaway.

The perfect escape
Our stay at the Corn Store was nothing short of idyllic and we wish we could have stayed longer! Riki and Martin have really thought of every detail - the apartment is beautifully furnished, equipped with absolutely everything guests might need, and instructions were very helpful. We particularly appreciated the warm welcome we received, the wealth of local information provided and the freshly laid eggs. The farm is perfectly located for exploring North Cornwall and Devon and we enjoyed beach days, scenic walks and excellent food - a cream tea at the Rectory Tearooms is a must! Another Fabulous Stay
Fourth week stay in the Corn Store and in some ways the best yet. The property is well appointed and immaculately cleaned and maintained. Rikki and Martin go out of their way to make you feel welcome but without being obtrusive. Covid 19 precautions and briefing were good. Whilst not within casual walking distance of the sea, the coast path is accessible via a short car journey. Equally important, proximity to the A39 means that it is an excellent base for exploring north Cornwall/ North West Devon. Highly recommended, without qualification - we shall definitely be going back!

We loved everything about the Corn Store - ideal for 2, thoughtfully and tastefully furnished and equipped. We especially enjoyed sitting on the mezzanine in the evenings watching the sky go red and the geese on the pond. Riki and Martin could not have been more helpful, providing loads of useful information about the area, and even leaving maps for guests to make use of. The Corn Store is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of the world while also being quiet and tranquil. Third stay in the Corn Store and every bit as good as previously. The property is ideal for two people and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Due to Covid and restrictions in ‘turn up and eat’ eating out availability, we ate in more than previously, for which everything required.was in place. Riki and Martin keep the property in great shape and responded promptly to our only request during the week, for more logs for the log burner. Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

Beautiful property
The Corn Store is a perfect base to explore Cornwall/Devon. We stayed here for a week and although we did a lot of exploring and travelling we also made sure we made time to enjoy this beautiful property. Rikki and Martin were lovely and provided detailed instructions for the property itself and useful information about the surrounding area, places of interest/walks/places to eat etc. We would highly recommend The Corn Store to anyone considering it.
