“Conveniently located, but room for improvement”

We had a nice stay at Hotel Cascade Midi, the hotel was clean, very conveniently located next to the train station and the rooms were modern and well done. However the mattress was extremely soft and the pillows were quite uncomfortable (in my opinion!). We stayed in November and the room was boiling hot (the heating was not on, but we could not use the air conditioning and slept with the window open, but eventually had to take the duvet out of the cover and sleep with the cover only). The doors also had no locks from the inside and despite hanging the ''do not disturb'' sign on the door the maid can in at some point in the morning and I think we surprised each other! The hotel offers a baggage store, but this is a locker system and cost 3 to 4 Euros. Overall the stay was fine, but I would probably try something different next time.

“A bit dissapointed”

The Hotel is clean and neat. However, the room was pokey and small, and there was no coffee and tea faciluty in the room. For four star hotel, this is rather unacceptable.

“Exceeded expectations”

This is a very well kept hotel. The rooms are a nice size and are very clean. The hotel looks rather new and upscale. You need to scan your room key in order to use the elevator, so it seems very safe. There are safes in all rooms. The only drawback is the fact that it is located about a 20 minute walk from downtown Brussels and the outside surrounding area is a little dirty. We did walk back and forth from the hotel and though it does not seem that it is in the best area of town, it does seem safe. There were many people out on the streets and lots of police cars everywhere. The hotel is not even a block away from the Midi train station (the international train station in Brussels) so is quite convenient when travelling by train. We would definitely stay again.

“Loved that it was right beside the Station”

I got a great deal on my room and the place was really nice. Breakfast was one of the best that I have had in a hotel.

“Next to Brussels Midi Station”

The best thing about this hotel is the location next to the train station. You can get to the city center just by walking. The surrounding areas were not very nice and people around it does not look very friendly, but once you get involved and talk to the people, everybody is very nice. You might be scared for the surroundings, but be assured it is a safe area. We walked to everyplace with no problems whatsoever. The hotel is basic but very clean, rooms were perfect for our stay. If visiting again, we would stay here for sure.

“Nice hotel, good location”

We had a very good time at the hotel, the room was very comfortable, everything looked like if it was new, very clean, the personal at the reception were very friendly and were willing to give us suggestions about interesting places to visit in the City, the only issue we had was the wi-fi, it was out of order and we had to go out of the hotel in order to have internet access, I would recommend this hotel 100%, it's a few steps out of the train station, very good location.

“Convenient and comfortable”

The hotel is modern and comfortable with helpful and efficient staff. It is conveniently located a few minutes walk from Brussels Midi.

“Would definitely stay at a again”

Great hotel with clean rooms and right across the street from the train station and the Metro. Very easy to get the the Market Square from here, and had comfortable beds. Spent one night in a room with two beds, which had plenty of space for two ladies traveling together, and a great price! Would highly recommend!

“Close to Midi/Zuid, but had teething problems”

A brand new hotel, and literally, 200 metres away from Midi train station, so the location cannot be beaten as far as proximity to trains is concerned. The surrounding area is a bit to be desired, so I would only choose to stay here if I were coming to the city for a really short time. Not quite unexpected, but the hotel had quite a few teething problems. Rooms were nice and comfortable, but my room, as well as the room of my colleague had no soap/shampoo in it. The refillable bottle was placed in the shower, but was not refilled at all. Interestingly, another colleague of mine stayed at this hotel about 2 weeks later, and had the same problem with his room. The staff downstairs brushed the complaint off as something extraordinary, but with 3 different rooms on 3 different occasions having this problem, I question the explanation. The hotel bar is small and not very welcoming, so if you are up for a meal/drink, I would venture out into other parts of the city.
