Highly Recommended
Comfortable and clean room with a generous amount of tea/coffee (and milk!) and biscuits. My only criticism would be that there was no extractor fan (or maybe it was broken) in the bathroom.

Always good service
Have stayed a few times when visiting friends in the area - staff are always attentive, rooms are comfortable and great breakfasts. Only complaint this time was noise from the room above but not something the hotel could help (they did speak to the guests and they quieted a litlle).

Only one problem, check-in was from 2.00pm, we arrived at 3.45pm and was told our room was not ready and could be an hour to wait. We weren’t pleased about this and the girl at reception said give me 10mins. No idea what happened but she found us a room in those 10mins so we were happy.

Ok for a short stay
The hotel is over a road from the restaurant and you check in from the bar. Plenty of parking on site. Our room was fine for a short stay. The slot where you put in the room card for the electrics was broken on arrival. Staff sorted but room should have been checked before arrival. The bathroom door was sticking so decided not to risk closing it incase we got locked in. Door handle a bit suspect! We booked a table for dinner at the restaurant for 7.30 on a Friday evening but weren't seated until after 8 and food very slow to arrive. Staff rather frazzled. Plenty of other eating options nearby as the hotel is located in a huge out of town shopping centre. Breakfasts were fine. On the whole the hotel is what you expect from a chain. Clean but beginning to feel a bit tired.

Great value stay, comfy beds,Hot shower & bath with lovely white fluffy towels.great eating options next door with great value breakfast . Staff attentive although busy. Would have given 5 stars in every category but curtains in bedroom were ripped / torn to such a degree thought laundry company had mixed them up with a squat !!!

Fine for a short stay
Overall our stay was comfortable. Positives - cleaning staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Room was lovely and warm. Location of the hotel is good with many of the main shops in a kind of outlet area right opposite the hotel. Free parking was easy in a large car park behind the hotel. Restaurants - (Hungry Horse, Toby, Costa etc) all close by. Negatives - the room itself could do with painting as there were marks on the walls. No cupboards or drawers, just a small hanging area. Also only a soap container above the sink and shower gel container over the shower. No complimentary shampoo, conditioner or body lotion. This is the first time I have found these items not included in a hotel stay. The one meal we had in the hotel pub was almost cold and the steak was so tough we were unable to eat it. We sent to whole meal back and were refunded. Overall our stay was fine for our short break.

Dirty, rundown hotel-uncomfortable stay
The bed had hairs in it and I was moved to another room. I realised on trying to sort this situation out, the 24 hr desk is not in the same building as the hotel, it is over the road in the pub; this should be made clear in the hotel facilities description but it is not. I was offered one complimentary breakfast for the hairs in the bed issue. The new room smelt bad, and I eventually realised the toilet was leaking and that was why the room smelt so off.. The bed sheets were in bad condition/ quality and the beds also looked worn, actually, the whole room looked worn, 2 star rating, not four star as advertised on hotels.com. I tried to give feedback to the manager, but he was not interested. I Would not return. .

Disappointing. Stayed for 2 nights. Dirty and ripped window nets in our room. Blocked sink. No one checked our room a night after to refill tea/ coffee, checked in regards of towels. Not to mention cleaned our room. Stayed here 2 years ago. Was much better experience. Don’t think will be booking again.

This is a hotel room which I wish I could transport with me around the UK and stay every night in, the whole experience was superb. Wonderful friendly, efficient and professional welcome and check-in at the adjacent public house which was also a nice place to enjoy a pint and the food looked exceptional. The room was in a stand-alone building next to the pub, everywhere was very well maintained and presented together with being spotlessly clean and it contained everything you require for a long or short stay. The bed and mattress topped with great linen provided for a wonderful night's sleep, all aided with a big modern television and excellent Wi-Fi. The en-suite bathroom was also spotlessly clean, the shower had good water pressure and the towels nice and fluffy. My only issue was the internal noise from other guests coming through from the corridor. Located next to a Tesco Extra and the Westwood Cross Retail Park, the hotel is easily connected with the Thanet bus network with direct links to Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate town centre and railways stations via the ‘Loop’ and 34 buses and to Canterbury by the number 8 bus. Highly recommended to all.

We were on our way to France and fancied a couple of days in Kent and booked this great little hotel staff were welcoming and so helpful and made sure we had the perfect stay and the food was superb and very good value for money we will curtainly be staying again

Check in was a bit slow and unorganized due to hotel reception being unmanned during the day so had to go over to the bar/restaurant. Then had to wait for another member of staff to check us in. Room was lovely cot for baby was there as requested no complaints.
