The front desk staff was great. The rooms were just above fine. The bed was comfortable but very limited basic amenities, such as a coffee maker or access to water source for drinking potable water. The room also had no character and the blank walls seemed very blah for the high point rice in such a beautiful city. I understand the construction but nothing in the room seem to offset that. I would not stay here again.

Overall this was a very nice experience. This was the first time at the hotel. The service was awesome! The only things that I can say that weren't that great were- fire alarm went off a few times during our 4 day stay that was a false alarm. They were doing renovations and I guess it was tripped. The only other negative was the bed. It just wasn't very comfortable.

Upon arrival we discovered the entire lobby area was sealed off by Sheetrock except for a small front desk area. Elevators were down a small walkway along a Sheetrock wall. Our room was spacious and quite well appointed. However for 3 days we had no cold water - just scalding hot water that led us to take showers in another room on another floor. Upon checkout we asked to speak to a manager but were informed they were in meetings all morning but we would be called after the meetings. Later in the day we picked up our luggage and were assured the manager would call us shortly. Four days later, no call yet.

Really great Love Pet Friendly, amazing stuff, cleaning stuff was on top of our room every day. I highly recommending this hotel to all my friends and family. I came over to stay because was running Boston marathon and will suggest to offer a discount to runners as a future reference because most hotels does it! I stayed here for the Boston Marathon, overall a great choice. An easy 15 minutes walk to the Boston Common park area where you take the buses to the start line. Plenty of places around to eat and drink, along with pharmacies and several T line stations. Staff was great, and helped me with all my requests. Room was pretty quiet, and didn't have any issues in terms of street noise or sounds coming from other rooms. The room was cleaned daily, without requesting it. The hotel was getting some repairs during my stay, but that didn't affect my experience at all. Totally recommended.

This is a very nice hotel right on the edge of Boston Common. You can easily walk to many of Boston’s tourist attractions from here. It is near perfect if you’re running the Boston Marathon. 10 minute walk for busses to the start. 20 min walk from finish line.

One of the worst stay I had in my life. From the ongoing renovation in the lobby (6:30am jackhammer drilling daily), to the absolute rudeness of the front office staff to the 30min wait for the valet (every time one wants the car) , and the terrible bed. Oh, and the bell car can not be brought up to the valet area - due the renovation. One therefore needs to carry their bags on the street - in the rain

The property was under construction, and they make you pay $65 for parking even if you are staying at the hotel. Then they tell you if you want to use your vehicle you have to give them 15-20min to go get it. Each time you get it, you are charged $65. Water pressure was sputtering and the bathtubs drain didn't work.

Location was great in center of everything in Boston but hotel was under construction which wasn’t told at booking or on arrival .also that would be woken up by construction in hotel at 9 am and we were on 5th floor . Other then that great .

I had a bad experience at this hotel. Construction Noise starting at 7am and ran all day. Was told breakfast was complimentary - it wasn’t. Valet left my driver’s window down. Bathroom was filthy.

The hotel was nice. No super direct connections for the T but not a long walk. No on site restaurant except for defined hours. Staff was helpful approached but never greeted when entering or departing.

Notre séjour de 3 nuits passées au AKA Boston Common s'est bien passé, malgré les petits inconvénients rencontrés. Le personnel est souriant et serviable, cependant pour le prix payé pour la chambre, celui-ci n'a pas rencontré nos attentes, hormis la situation géographique idéale, à côté de la station de métro et du parc. Nous avions payés pour une chambre lit king à l'étage supérieur - vue ville, qui s'avérait être face au batiment voisin en brique, sans vue. La chambre était d'une superficie raisonnable, mais les meubles était endommagés, sans parler de la salle de bain avec des accessoires rouillés et un bain douche taché. La chambre n'a pas de cafétière incluse, le service étant offert à la réception le matin. Le site web de réservation ne mentionnait pas qu'il y avait des rénovations à partir de 6h30 le matin, que nous entendions même au 12e étage. Il n'y a pas de stationnement inclus dans le coût de la chambre. Il y en a un de disponible avec valet au coût de 65$ par jour. Nous avons apprécié la ville de Boston somme tout.

This hotel is a very good option for everyone visiting Boston. I book my hotels based on location and this is in the perfect spot. The meeting point to start the tours of the freedom trail (ths State House) is a few steps away and shopping area and cafés are two blocks away. The metro station is across the street, and the area is quiet and safe.
