Sauberes und neu gestaltetes/renoviertes Hotel. Auffallend wenig Personal, hat aber an nichts gefehlt. Hatten ein großes Zimmer, Elternschlafbereich mit Blick auf das Treppenhaus. Sehr warm im Zimmer, da nur sehr kleines Fenster zum lüften.

The hotel is in a nice rural landscape of Iceland with a hiking opportunity nearby (map on the reception desk). However some dogs of the nearby farmers do not like hikers, wehn you are walking on the street in front of the hotel. The rooms have a good size. Bathroom amenities are from Iceland, produced by Soley. The hotel features a very good restaurant with good views which is worth a visit by itself. A good breakfast is also served in the restaurant. Weirdly, you have to ask for spoons.

schönes Hotel in der Nähe von Borgarnes
Schönes, modernes Hotel irgendwo im Nirgendwo. Ca. 20 Minuten Fahrt bis Borgarnes, keine Restaurants etc in der Nähe, dafür topmoderne, schöne Zimmer (Bad sehr klein) und unkomplizierter Check-in und Check-out. Gutes Frühstück inklusive.

Malerisch gelegenes Hotel mit zu teurem Restaurant, dessen Bedienung allerdings äußerst freundlich war. Das Frühstück hat mir wiederum zugesagt. Außerdem viel zu kleines und unschönes Bad im Verhältnis zum restlichen Zimmer. Zudem habe ich ständig (auch Nachts) ein nerviges Pfeifen gehört, was evtl. von der Lüftung kommen könnte. Insgesamt also ein durchschnittlich guter Aufenthalt.

Nice hotel in a beautiful rural area with geothermal heated greenhouses across the street. The restaurant at the 4th floor offers a very good dinner with incredible skyr mousse for dessert. We were given an accessible at check-in room but would have preferred a standard room due to the inconvenience of a shower curtain. Also, the air flow in the room was not working as expected. After a shower you had to open the windows and the door otherwise the bathroom and the bedroom stayed damp and humid.

Sehr schönes, modernes Hotel.Extra großes Bett.Tolles Frühstück mit wunderschönem Panorama. Das Waschbecken ist tatsächlich viel zu klein, aber das ist das einzige Minuspünktchen.

Schön gelegenes Hotel mit Schwächen im Service
Das Hotel liegt wunderschön etwas von der Ringstrasse entfernt. Es besitzt einen neuen und einen alten Teil. Wir waren im neuen Teil untergebracht. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet, mit Smart-TV und genügend Platz für Koffer. Das Bad ist klein aber passend - nur das Waschbecken ist deutlich zu klein. Es war sauber - uns ist eine Landkarte unter das Bett gefallen. Da war es leider nicht sauber - siehe Fotos. Das Restaurant ist im obersten Stockwerk als Rooftop Restaurant. Hier gibt es morgens auch Frühstück. Es hat eine super Aussicht und das Essen war sehr lecker aber auch teuer.

Moderne Einrichtung in einem schönen Zimmer. Das hoteleigene Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen und hat uns sogar noch kurz vor Ende der Öffnungszeiten bedient, da wir erst spät angereist sind. Leider hat die Lüftung im Badezimmer nicht funktioniert. Da sich gleichzeitig nur kleine Abschnitte der Zimmerfenster öffnen lassen, bekamen wir den Dampf nach dem Duschen kaum hinaus. Das Badezimmer war zudem nicht optimal gereinigt.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft und gutes Frühstück. Leider war es im Hotel sehr kalt vor allem im Restaurant. Das Hotel wurde vermutlich frisch renoviert oder umgebaut und da ging wohl das Hotelschild vergessen.

1 Tag vor Abflug rief das Hotel Varmaland an, Hotel wird nicht rechtzeitig fertig. Daraufhin hatte man uns ins B59 umgebucht und das war super. Gutes Essen, gute Lage. Zimmer schön groß. Top.

Just wanted to say the staff here made our trip memorable. The breakfast was fantastic. Prior to arriving I let the staff know we would be arriving early due to a early flight and needed to freshen up due to me proposing. They made the accommodation. I asked while we were at dinner if they could do something special in the room and they did. The host at the restaurant was very suave with letting me know that everything in the room was ready. The restaurant was an absolute treasure and I will be eating there for sure on our next visit. The rooms were super clean and beds were very comfortable

Pratique et agréable
Hôtel pratique pour une étape dans l’ouest, quelques points d’intérêts proches (Krauma, cascades, départ Into the glacier..) Propre, refait à neuf, cadre agréable pour le petit déjeuner avec vue Petit bémol : salle de bain très froide, et bac à douche trop petit( l’eau déborde très vite!)

Excellent Hotel
We only stayed one night but wished we would have booked for longer. Very nice hotel, very clean and the staff was excellent, friendly and informative. Highly recommend choosing this hotel for your stay.

I would have given it 5 out of 5 if it wasn’t for the ridiculously small bathroom sink, a cloakroom sink really…with nowhere to put your toiletries next to it…and the shower is equally a silly design; too small, shower curtain sticks to you and the water goes everywhere. BUT the staff are great, communal areas are great, the buffet breakfast is excellent and the breakfast dining room is a lovely space. Comfortable bed, had to ask for extra pillows…Icelandic hotels only seem to give one pillow each on the beds which is weird. It’s not as soundproofed as they make it out to be…we could hear people talking in the next room and people walking around in the room above…and doors opening and close. BUT (!) everyone went to sleep early because they’re all sightseeing in the nearby national park so luckily it wasn’t a big deal. Bring ear plugs just in case.
