Große und geräumige Zimmer, allerdings schon in die Jahre gekommen. Mit ein bisschen Instandhaltung wären viele Probleme gelöst. Im Großen und Ganzen eine schöne Anlage, nettes Personal und gutes Essen. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es leider nichts und man ist auf Taxis angewiesen. Die Preise für Getränke sind unverschämt teuer!

Wir hatten uns für eine Villa mit einem kleinen privaten Pool entschieden. Sie entspricht den Bildern auf der Website und ist wirklich sehr schön. Ein großen Nachteil des privaten Swimmingpools ist dass er nicht beheizt ist und wir ihn nicht nutzen konnten (dasselbe gilt für den Gemeinschaftspool). Bei einem Preis von rund 600€/Nacht muss man sicher sein, dass man alle Annehmlichkeiten genießen kann. Dies hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Andererseits große Zufriedenheit in puncto Service und Freundlichkeit. Der Frühstücks- und Zimmerservice sowie das Restaurant werden dem Ruf der Accor Hotels gerecht.

Wir sind sehr froh, dass wir uns für dieses Hotel entschieden haben. Wir waren als Pärchen unterwegs und haben uns für eine Woche ein Hotel zum totalen entspannen gesucht. Zwischenzeitlich haben wir mehr von der Insel gesehen und würden direkt wieder buchen. Sofitel par excellence
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel with a suite directly located at the beach. Due to the fact that the hotel is located in the south of Mauritius you can have a relaxed and calm stay (not that much tourism than in the north) with the opportunity to visit the near by nature reserve and other great sightseeing locations. The service at the hotel was excellent and very supportive.

In dieser Anlage steckt noch mehr Potential
Das von Kenzo gestylte Zimmer erweckte unser Interesse, der "Einstieg" ins Bett erwies sich als nicht besonders bequem. Gutes Personal und gute Kueche. Kein Begrüßungsgetraenk, dafuer Check-in im Zimmer. Ein Badesalz als Willkommensgruss ist eine nette Geste, im Vergleich zu anderen 5 Sterne Hotels wirkt dieses Geschenk sehr bescheiden. Immerhin bieten viele Hotels Obstplatten, Sekt, Süßigkeiten und Blumen an. Die Bar ist aufgrund ihrer Lage und Architektur nicht das Herzstueck der Anlage, die Getraenke kann man am Tablet auswählen, da fehlt einem rasch der Ueberblick. Jedes Zimmer hat im Freien zwei Liegen, die komfortabler sein koennten. Die Bodengestaltung besteht aus einfachen Platten, die in die Erde gelegt wurden. Das passt nicht zum Stil der Anlage.

Grossartige Hotelanlage am Strand
Sehr gepflegte kleine Einheiten mit Blick aufs Meer. Durch den tropischen Garten erreicht man den besten Sandstrand den ich auf Mauritius gesehen habe. Dort kann man nach Lust und Laune schnorcheln und sieht auch im flachen Wasser jede Menge Korallen und Fische. Restaurant und Zimmer sind auf höchsten Niveau. Leider auch die Getränkepreise. Aber sonst alles Top.

Traumhaft schöne Anlage
Das Sofitel So Mauritius ist etwas für Genießer. Die extrem großzügig angelegte Hotelanlage lädt geradezu ein zum Entspannen. Das Hotelpersonal ist hervorragend besonders herauszuheben ist dabei der Butlerservice. Jeder Wunsch wird umgehend erfüllt. Die Küche ist 1A und unglaublich abwechslungsreich. Die Restaurantchefin Karen ist eine "Perle". Wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen. Einzig das Benehmen und Erscheinungsbild der chinesischen Gäste hat uns nicht gefallen und man sollte diese vielleicht von Seiten des Hotels darauf aufmerksam machen. Zu einem gepflegten Diner abends gehört sich nicht in Jogginghosen zu erscheinen.

hübsche hotelanlage im modernen stil
die hotelanlage war wunderschön angelegt und geplegt, das gesamte personal im so sofitel war sehr aufmerksam und bemüht,wir hatten einen platten im leihwagen unser kadiboy erledigte alles mit dem mietwagenverleih wir verloren keine zeit damit. das essen im hotel war sehr gut das chinesische büfett am chines. neujahr war toll. am abend spielte fast immer eine lifebänd.es ist ein hotel wo man die seele baumeln lassen kann,klein und fein und ruhig.man kann schnorcheln ,tolle fische und korallen sahen sogar ein seepferdchen.

Wir hatten Halbpension und das Restaurant nach Karte war sehr lecker. In der Hotelanlage dürfen keine Autos fahren, nur Elektrofahrzeuge, dadurch ist es sehr ruhig im Hotel. Am Strand waren wir fast alleine, gut für junge Paare :-).

Personal zwar freundlich und bemüht; allerdings in keiner Weise geschult oder besonders serviceorientiert; Zimmerreinigung ungenügend; Zustand der Zimmer trotz erst 3 1/2 Jahren Bestehen verschlissen und nicht funktionstüchtig (z.B. Schließmechanismus der Verandatür derart defekt, dass sich diese mit geringstem Kraftaufwand trotz verschlossenem Zustand öffnen ließ)

We felt it was more representative of a 4* stay than 5* hotel. We stayed in a suite, and the room was tired and needed updating. Nowhere to hang towels, plugs not working, no curtains for the patio area so was awaken at first light. And despite saying there were two restaurants, with half board you had to pay for the other. So you are restricted to the buffet, which is limited in size and the food was repetitive. The price of drinks was very high. A pint of beer was £8 and a single shot of liqueur was £10 for the cheapest. Meaning bar tabs run up if you want to have some drinks with your meals. There was a bit of upselling throughout the stay for their trips, massages, taxis, dinners etc. Gym was small and WiFi was weak throughout. However lovely beach and pool area. And staff were very friendly.

We liked the friendliness and kindness of all the staff we met at the hotel and were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. We would like to thank everyone and especially Raj and Divya for always being there to make our stay completely stress and hassle free, chef Vinay and his team for the delicious variety of wonderful dishes that catered for all tastes and a special thank you for the effort they made to tweak the recipes to cater for my allergies , all the waiting and bar staff especially Jamy who always made us feel welcome and we would also like to thank the spa team for the incredible treatments they provided to make our stay even more memorable . The whole holiday experience was unforgettable from our cleaner Noora to the gardeners and buggy drivers who were a delight to meet and always had a smile on their faces … thank you, Sam & Ruth .

Beautiful hotel and beach. Staff couldn’t be more accommodating and were so helpful with assisting with baby food. Hospitality was great . A few points, the buffet was nothing compared to other 4-5* resorts we have stayed at across the island, no ice cream at dessert for the children, was quite disappointing. On the last day, staff kept entering our room without ringing first at the very least which was really strange and inappropriate.

God beliggenhed men svingende service
Servicen var generelt af svingende kvalitet. Morgenmadsbuffeten var ikke altid klar til åbningstidspunktet. Vi blev spurgt til hvilket tidspunkt på dagen vi ville have rengøring, men kun 1 gang ud af 7 kom de på det aftalte tidspunkt. Flere ting trænger til vedligeholdelse.

Excellent 5* resort
Excellent family stay; chef team was brilliant and catered for our very specific vegetarian meal needs throughout our 11 days stay over Easter 2022. The rooms were fantastic and well set on a beautiful coral beach. Highly recommend this resort- having stayed at others on the Island previously.

Сам отель приятный, большие виллы, ухоженная территория. Пляжа можно считать что нет, но это особенность острова. Большой (но достаточно холодный) бассейн. Ресторан работал только буфет. Причем один из дней все было норм, на второй персонал испортил все впечатление, которое только возможно. Час ждали вино, час. Еду, естественно, всю съели к моменту когда принесли. На каждую (каждую!!!) позицию в винной карте говорили этого нет. Через час принесли совсем не то, что заказывали. Позднее выяснилось, что вино есть, если у вас другой официант. Полчаса ждали капучино. Не дождались. В счет сначала включили, потом убрали, но сказали, что на комнату нельзя записать, платите наличными. Потащили разбираться на ресепшн, где выяснили, что забыли что-то прописать в системе. Извинений никто тоже не принес. История о том, как конкретные люди могут испортить отдых, на острове был еще Sofitel, но после этого отменили поездку туда и выбрали другую сеть. В общем для нас из примерно 8 отелей на маврикии этот оказался самым неудачным. А жаль…
