Good hotel right behind the station, ideal to be in the middle of Amsterdam City in 20 minutes by train. New and literally still quite alone in the field. Friendly service, good sized rooms, trendy furnishings, small snacks, coffee/tea in the lobby. Disadvantage: What does the municipality of Hoofddorp have against the Ibis that they "obstruct" the staircase from the station in such a way? There are almost amphitheatre-high steps to climb, which do not make it easy for older people with luggage. The fantastically developed cycle path also ends in front of these steps, a sliding groove for bicycles has been created by the unruly use of cyclists, but was not structurally included in the stairs. Why do this to a tax-paying hotel in the course of developing commercial space? But, as I said, once arrived at the search for the access road through the commercial area, everything is good, partly still too new for the navigation system and therefore to be found with eagle eyes. Great beds, clean stylish bathroom, the hotel is only a year old.
