Exceptionally friendly and efficient service even for this category of hotel. Excellent location for a visit to Amsterdam. Many attractions in the center are within quick walking distance. Very nice room with a view of the palace. Happy to stay again on my next visit to Amsterdam.

Schlechtes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis
Das Hotel lebt von der erstklassigen Lage. Mein Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und sauber aber winzig und mit Aussicht auf die Glaswand gegenüber. Der Service war enttäuschend. Obwohl ich schweres Gepäck hatte kam keiner der zusehenden Mitarbeiter auf die Idee, mir zu helfen. Checkin war unlustig. Wegen einer Konferenz war das Hotel gut belegt und die Mitarbeiter vielleicht einfach genervt und überfordert. Angesichts des hohen Zimmer - Preises aber kann ich das nicht gelten lassen. Wer 5 Sterne plus Preise verlangt muss dann auch liefern!

Das Hotel habe ich relativ spät gebucht, da es ein spontanes Geschenk zu Weihnachten war. Die Buchung ging problemlos durch und ich habe schon VOR der Reise eine Antwort auf meine Email vom Hotel erhalten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und konnte uns stets helfen und überhaupt habe ich selten SO viel Personal im Empfangsbereich angetroffen. Wir mussten nie länger als 2 Minuten warten (an der Rezeption selbst, es waren mindestens 4 Personen zum Ansprechen da), wenn überhaupt. Obwohl unser Zimmer weiter oben war, war es sehr ruhig und gut gelegen. Wir waren überrascht, wie groß das Zimmer war, unsere Doppelbetten haben wir ebenfalls erhalten. Das Putzteam hat sich Mühe gegeben, im Zimmer war alles vorhanden. Der Frühstücksbereich ist mein Highlight. Eigentlich ziehen wir Cafés zum Frühstücken vor, aber die Rezeption hat uns auf den schönen Raum hingewiesen und wir waren begeistert! Danke für diesen Tipp, uns wäre wirklich was entgangen, das war ein sehr guter Hinweis und die Auswahl war super. Schön zu sehen, wie gut die Küche auch beim Frühstück arbeitet, wir sind überzeugt! Gern kommen wir wieder, die Lage des Hotels ist unschlagbar und wir sind sehr froh, dass alles zu Fuß erreichbar war. Wunderschönes Hotel, weiter so!

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Hotelbar ist toll und hat einen Raucherbereich im Freien mit Heizstrahlern, welcher auf alle 4 Seiten vor Wind geschützt ist. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett bequem und die Einrichtung hübsch. Was mich persönlich ein wenig gestört hat war, dass das Zimmer sehr kühl war und die Heizung nichts gebracht hat (Dezember). Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche hätte auch mehr sein können, aber wir hatten das Zimmer im 5. Stock, war also nicht überraschend. Ansonsten ein tolles Hotel mitten in der Stadt mit gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

a bit disappointed-
I was expecting one of the best Hotels in Amsterdam and must say - I am disappointed. The room was cold, AC difficult to control. Single glass windows that let you heat in 5th floor what people do at the noisy street and let cold air in. Dull lights not very cozy. Although I was in a superior room it clearly did not feel that way. When you look at the place (and bill!) you think this is one if the best luxury hotels in Amsterdam. I hope it’s not

Ideal für einen kurzen Städtetrip
Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und vieles ist einfach zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist für mich sehr reichhaltig, frisch und gut, angenehme Atmosphere und sehr freundlicher Service. Allgemein wird man in diesem Hotel sehr nett behandelt. Die Standard Zimmer sind relativ klein für den Preis und auch die Sauberkeit in den Zimmern dürfte besser sein. Die Lobby, Bar, etc. ist alles tiptop sauber.

Die Lage ist hervorragend und der Eingangsbereich sowie auch die Restaurants sehr schön. Unser Zimmer war klein, hatte keine persönlichen Hilfsmittel (Nagelfeile, Nähkitt, Wattepads etc) und die Fenster waren schmutzig. Die Badewanne hatte einen Riss, die WC-Bürste fiel halb auseinander und die Tapete kam im Treppenhaus von der Wand runter. Auf den ersten Blick fabelhaft auf den zweiten keine 5Sterne wert.

Sehr vorteilhafte Lage, separater Zugang zu den Lifts, sodass man nicht durchs ganze Hotel musste. Leider wird das „Do not disturb“ - Zeichen nur vom Reinigungsdienst berücksichtigt. Das Personal, das die Minibar füllt, kam täglich einfach so reingeplatzt.

Disappointed that The Tailor wasn’t serving its full cocktail menu the evening we visited as seemingly they did not have all the ingredients! Sadly didn’t get any five star wow factor impression - the hotel feels quite ‘corporate’ and impersonal. Breakfast options were varied but the coffee was awful. Rooms were spotlessly clean but underwhelming. Good location but wouldn’t stay here again.
