Our room loss power at 10:30 pm room was dark hotel employee couldn’t help said I would have to move my things into another room I repacked clothing and move to another room. After changing rooms, there was second power outage. Later in new room. Asked for wake up call to go to funeral. After wake call room lost power again they had no one to help. Late for funeral home family pick up. They flipped switch in room did not fix problem . We experienced 3 power outages. I have insulin in refrigerator. Had to leave grave sight to come pack to hotel. Power outage/tripped switch still not fixed. They said since we paid through a 3rd party Expedia would need to deal with refund for room payment.

Dear Amy, We sincerely apologize for the issue you experienced. The socks must have been washed in our laundry as we change all linens in between each guest's stay. We will make a note with our team to keep a better eye out so this does not happen again.

The hotel is newer and I have stayed there 3 times. The house keeping needs help. The bathroom was sticky, the toilet had a dark ring around the top of the bowl. It looks like they just wiped everything down with a dirty cloth.

This was disappointing. The staff was nice enough but looks like they are understaffed. Breakfast was mediocre, you can get better free breakfast at a lower end hotel. Oatmeal was uncooked, only two items for hot food and no fruit other than a couple of sad bananas. Room had carpet stains. No access to gym with room key and no staff to be found for help to access. We only stayed one night thank goodness.

Okay stay!
My first room had several mosquitoes and I had to change rooms. I only found one in the second room, however, there was unidentifiable items in the tub, therefore, I did not use the shower. I've always had great luck with this hotel, however this experience wasn't the normal.

Disappointed
We have stayed at Towneplace multiple times over the last few years. The hotel has changed ownership and it shows. I was presented with this page full of “new” upon check in. I was made to come to the front desk to get my own towels during the day shift. I’ve never experienced that. I was told that I couldn’t get a late checkout (which I ALWAYS get) because I booked with a 3rd party company. There were ants in our room. That may be because we’re on the first floor (maybe). Next trip I will probably go back to one of the other hotels across the parking lot from the mall.

Best Mother’s Day, Ever!
Ah, finally some peace and quiet. The bed? Comfortable. The shower? Surprisingly incredible water pressure. The front desk staff? As friendly and patient as I am with my children (which is very). 10/10 will be staying here again next Mother’s Day. Best simple escape from my family, ever. Thanks Marriott!

Bad bad breakfast!
All good except for the breakfast and the coffee service in the room. The breakfast rates as one of my all time worsts. Sorry sorry sorry, and the breakfast sandwiches were tasteless. I’ve never had sausage that had no taste at all. It was unbelievable. They would have done better in my overall review if they had not offered breakfast.

Awesome stay
The overall stay was amazing. The appliances in the room weren’t very clean. The fridge and microwave weren’t clean. We also didn’t have a full set of dishes to use.

Got a king suite, the pull out bed was covered in pee dripping off the mattress finally got them to give us a new room. It was now queen beds, there was nasty dirty underwear under one of the beds , and the toilet backed up and overflowed and flooded the bathroom! Nobody cared or did anything to make it right. Not even am I’m sorry that happened. Horrible!

No hot water 😭 long day of driving. Advised by friends that Alexandria is not super safe. We ran got Schlotskys and ate in the room. Room size was excellent. Nice table. borrowed a game at front desk.

There was nothing particularly wrong with this hotel but nothing great. Water pressure was low in the shower. Room keys didn't work on outside doors. Felt like overall cleanliness could have been improved.

Our Engineer takes care of these issues by changing the pressure balancing unit and shower head in the room during his inspections. Just ok. Paid $1000 for 6 nights. Facilities could’ve been better. There was NO BREAKFAST when majority hotels are providing proper hot breakfasts (I travel often). Couch was old. Soap bars were too small and with my 6 day stay, had to go back twice since management was pretty cheap here and would leave one bar at one time
