Description

Take a quick break from Amsterdam to see more of the Netherlands: Travel on a comfortable bus, see how world-famous Delftware is produced, and walk through the chic districts of The Hague, the seat of the Dutch Parliament and the Royal Court of Justice.

In South Holland, pass by dikes and polders, land reclaimed from the sea by the Dutch people centuries ago. When you reach Delft, witness the beautifully preserved architecture and flowing canals. See the Old Church and City Hall in the Markt, the central square buzzing with locals and visitors alike. Enter the renowned Delft Blue Pottery, known for its handmade earthenware, and see how these delicate items are manufactured.

The Hague is the political seat of the country. Explore the courtyards and buildings of the governmental complex, including the Binnenhof, the House of Senate. Stroll through the small mediaeval centre and get a glimpse of its modern, high-end districts with your guide.

To round up the experience, visit the miniature town of Madurodam, showcasing 1:25 scale model replicas of the country's iconic sights.

1. Delft was lovely. 2. Hague was totally a bust. This is what was on review..."The Hague is the political seat of the country. Explore the courtyards and buildings of the governmental complex, including the Binnenhof, the House of Senate. Stroll through the small medieval center and get a glimpse of its modern, high-end neighborhoods with your guide. We drove by on a bus. didn't even stop except for picture of Peace Palace. Very disappointed. 3. Madurodam. Everything is closed by the time we get there and its dark. Its a kids place and they plan an hour stay there. TERRIBLE. Very Dissapointed!!

This was a good way to see these places in a very short amount of time. Madurodam was fun to see but, given the limited time, I would have rather spent that time in The Hague where there is a world class museum and other sites of interest. We saw The Hague wholly from the bus except for a 5 minute stop to take some photos.
