With your guide, you will learn how to navigate your way through the 4th largest city in North America. You will also learn about some of the many great sites that can be found in the city centre core.
First, you will meet your guide and group in Toronto's Entertainment District, home of many live theatres, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and concert halls.
The tour will then head down to the city’s waterfront. On the way to the waterfront we will pass some of the city's most iconic buildings such as the CN Tower (at one time the world's tallest freestanding structure), and the Rogers Centre, (known as the Skydome to the locals). The Rogers Centre is Toronto's retractable roof stadium and home of the city's baseball team - the Toronto Blue Jays.
We willl take a short break at the waterfront and we will then head into the city's PATH system - known as an 'Underground City'. The PATH stretches over 30km/20 miles in length and connects most of the city's large skyscrapers.
We come above ground in the BCE Place a spectacular building designed by the Spanish Architect - Santiago Calatrava.
Through the final part of the tour, we walk through an area of the city known as Old Toronto. This is an area where you see buildings that are original to Toronto’s boom in the 19th century. You will get to see some of the older buildings in the city and you will be able to take some pictures at Berczy Park (home of Toronto's famous ' Dog Fountain).
The final stop on the tour is the St. Lawrence Market. In 2012, it was ranked as the 'world's best food market', it is currently still in the top 10 food markets on the planet.
The market is a great spot to complete the tour and spend your time to sample some of the great foods available in the city.
