Great location. Room was a bit small and strangely laid out: no room to put clothes other than closet (IE. no chest of drawers), small bathroom, no clock in the room.... nice bed, quiet and comfortable - but seemed to be missing a couple of items.

Beautiful facility, easy parking, super friendly staff, and would definitely recommend and stay there again. The only disappointment was after a long day, we had to wait over an hour to get into our room in an energetic waiting area (music was too much for me while being so tired). They said they were going to call/text but never did, it wasn't until we were impatient that they said the room had been ready for a while.

It was an enjoyable stay at the Riggs. Check in was smooth and staff was friendly. The room was very clean and seemed to have been updated recently. The area was safe with easy access to restaurants and sight seeing. The only complaints I have are the lack of a bathroom vanity and inconsistent water temperature. It made it difficult to get cleaned up each morning as there was only a freestanding sink and no where to set make up, a hair dryer or curling iron. One day there wasn’t any hot water at all and the shower was freezing cold. This may be due to it being an older building but it was frustrating.

Dining was excellent. Called in advance to advise staff it was my 15 yr wedding anniversary and my husband was cleared as cancer free just days before booking. Hotel did nothing special. After speaking to valet, who gave us a tour, we explained why we were in town celebrating. He asked how did we like the complimentary gifts for anniversaries. I stated we had not even a happy anniversary upon arrival. We were treated better by ‘certain’ staff than the stuffy front desk.

This was a great location for our trip - walking distance or short metro ride to all of the museums and monuments in the city. The staff was very welcoming to my son and I. We ate breakfast at Cafe Riggs throughout our stay and my son loved the pancakes. I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in DC for a similar type of trip.

Believe the hype! The level of service at this hotel is outstanding. It’s extremely clean and beautifully designed. Great location for sightseeing all the major DC landmarks but on a relatively quiet street. We had a basic sized king and while the room itself was spacious, the sink/wardrobe/mirror area was v small (tricky when 2 people are attempting to use). I’d recommend upgrading to a larger room if possible. The basement cocktail bar was lovely and Cafe Riggs too. Across the street there are some great restaurants too.

We loved Riggs. It was convenient and within walking distance to pretty much everything. We didn’t have our room cleaned the whole trip (our choice) but they were great and speedy about bringing us what we needed ie towels, toilet paper. The bathroom is odd; door doesn’t open all the way and you basically have to squeeze between door and toilet to just get in and out of the shower. We managed but not ideal for everyone or if dealing w kids in there. Honestly think that’s the only negative.

The washroom is extremely small, if you sit on toilet, you can not close the door. Even they have no place to settle hairdryer, the poor hairdryer had to stay at closet. The room is small too, open the door, you can see the entire bed at first sight, can not believe this room charge you 800 dollar. Totally not worth it.

Every detail of our stay was perfect. Service from every employee we encountered was excellent: valets, front desk, house staff, bar hostesses, bar manager, bar waitress, and restaurant staff - all notably excellent! Our rooms were very well appointed and clean. Luxurious shower. Steamer in the closet! Wonderful robe, slippers, Nespresso, and comfortable bed and linens. Excellent location. Silver Lyan bar menu was exotic and delicious. Will definitely stay again.

We had an incredible time.The bed was extremely comfy and the room had a nice ambiance.The staff members were helpful and professional and they truly made the stay memorable. I would especially like to thank Mr. D.C. for his kindness and charisma. I would also like to mention that Cafe Riggs had some of the most delicious food which just enhanced the stay. The hotel is also super convenient to restaurants, shopping, museums, and monuments. Plus there were multiple options for transportation including convenient metro stations, bikes, uber, etc... We will definitely choose to stay at Riggs Washington D.C. when we visit the area again.

Great location, above average service, great cafe/bar. Room very good size. But overpriced, oddly designed rooms, and poor maintenance (coffee machine broken, shower handle loose). A nice hotel, but a long way of the best in Washington DC.

I love this hotel! The service is excellent, the restaurant is A . The only thing missing for me is a Peloton Bike in the gym. Saltwater pool is 👍

Cafe Riggs is gorgeous and the food was wonderful. We had some drinks in Silver Lyan beforehand and loved the cozy lounge vibe. The staff was super friendly and were enjoyable to be with! The rooms were clean and comfortable.

I think a resort fee of $46 for a gym is ludicrous. This should be built into the costs of a a city stay and goes off par with other DC hotels.. Room was nice but having a mini fridge in front of the television obscures the view. Overall while the hotel has style it’s the practical details, the things that makes a city hotel excellent that were lacking.
