Pleasant stay with the nature
The premise of the resort is fantastic and near to nature. The only thing that needs to take note is the mosquitoes that could be somehow annoying.

Landscaped natural setting. Quite rustic and can hear animal calls from the foothill jungle area in the evening. Room amenities are basic and the plumbing leaks and splashed all over when taps are turned on. No housekeeping/ reception after 8 pm on the Sunday we arrived. Cafeteria closed for renovations according to the staff at checkin. If you have your own transport then this is not a problem as the town is just 10 minutes away. Not suitable for people with mobility issues as not wheelchair friendly and many pathways are uneven.

Relaxing getaway surrounded by nature.
Loved the spacious, well kept surroundings with much greenery. Stayed in a room on 1st level. As there's no elevator, those with mobility problem need to request for a room on ground floor. My room was clean, aircon cold enough but wish there was a mini fridge provided. Bathroom very spacious but have to be very careful when wet. Friendly, smiley staff from all levels made it a memorable stay. Also, the cost per room is value for money.

just a few equipment in the room. the water cups were very dirty that i wonder if they have ever cleaned it or not. originally i have high expectation to this villa but i was disappointed.

Very polite and helpful staff, help on the problem of my rental car. Nice detail nature environment setting for guest to relax. Excellent cook and service restaurant. I found the best Fish fillet here. Will stay here again for my next visit.

Dissapointed as no lift service. No courtesy to provide umbrella as it was heavy rain during check in. Also no service to assist with luggage up to 2nd floor. We had 4 children with us and stairs was challenging for them carrying bags up.

Nice country location just outside town. very quiet during the week but busy at weekends9typical of Malaysia). Poor Wifi (none in guest bedrooms) but staff helped considerably in setting up a Hotspot so we could use our laptop.

Pleasant Environment
A pleasant area for relaxing and back to nature experience. Hotel staffs were not quite friendly except the front desk crews. The room was slightly dusty at some areas and the air-conditioner was struggle to keep the room cool. Overall, a pleasant experience staying in Sentosa Villa.

Good value but out of town
This hotel is good value for the money as it is clean and room is spacious. It has unusual grounds with a creek, concrete pools with fish and numerous concrete paths. Our room had a large concrete trough like sink and concrete floor for shower area. Simple but utilitarian.

Over-rated hotel with dusty room & bad sleep
Worst hotel experience EVER. Me and my wife had book a standard room for 3D2N (other room type was fully booked). We book for queen bed but we got the 2 single beds. They did not mention it and keep quiet during check-in, we only found out when enter to room. I return to receptionist then only they said no more room, so we have to accept it without choice. The room is quite simple, no wardrobe, no WIFI, TV is too small, no breakfast included and the bathroom door was made from metal which will produce loud sound when close it. You will likely be wake up by loud door slam sound effect in the mid night, many times. The environment surrounding the hotel is overrated, it not that beautiful as it been commented by others especially over the Internet. Lastly which is the worst one, the room is very dusty, we found a lot of dusk on the top of bed headboard which triggered my wife sinus. We decided to leave early as her sinus getting worse so we check out on second day afternoon. I told receptionist the reason we checkout early is because the dusk in the room cause my wife sinus. We not even ask for refund but the receptionist showing suspicious attitude toward me that we could vandalize their room and even send a man to check on us when we drive out from hotel. That really gets me mad, it definitely not worth for the money at all, the almost same amount we spend in other hotel is far much better that this hotel. Spend your money wisely on other much better options in Taiping.

Nice relaxing family getaway
It was our 4th visit to Sentosa Villa, but this time was slightly disappointing though. Cleanliness of the room needs improvement. The room smell offensive as we walked in. The surrounding areas of the resort is well maintained. My kids had a great time playing at their natural stream.

Wow. Remarkable Thai style getaway value
I chose this place because it was the closest, highest rated place I could find near Bukit Merah Lakeside Resort and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. The care and attention to the grounds is amazing for an admittedly cheap room. There is a little creek snaking its way through the property, with cute bridges and walkways. There are benches everywhere to sit and just enjoy the surroundings at the edge of the rainforest. My kids loved splashing in the creeks, and feeding the coy and fish (and geese!). It is very kid friendly, but I could see having a wedding here given the beautiful secluded surroundings. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the crowing roosters in the morning, and lack of a gourmet restaurant. The food was decent, but more local style. If you want beer or wine, ask to dine in the appropriate area. The property is near several off the beaten path tourist attractions, and Bukit Merah and the Orangutan Foundation trail are an easy drive about half an hour away as well.

You won't regret to stay here
I was so surprised that my room was upgraded to family suite which is very big room to us. Surrounding was very good. A lot of trees, lots of fish, lots of plants, with clean river which can jump in to have fun with kids. Very natural environment.

A very disappointed stay.
The staff were not friendly and helpful. It was noisy with a loud motor cycle engine running and with people speaking loudy near the reception area (our room was next to the reception area) well past mid-night. The sofa in the room has a big depression without cushion support that hurt my son when he was sitting down as he hit the wooden frame under the seat. It was not suitable for use at all.

Back to nature within the Villa
Personally, this property is a jewel. It's tucked in right next to the Bukit Larut foot hill access and has its own stream and wading pool for kids. You wouldn't have to gontonthe other picnic sites by the stream in Taiping 'coz the kids would love the one within the resort. Beautifully landscaped and a boon to lovers of flora and fauna, this was the most loved resort that we stayed in on this trip. The lake gardens are five minutes away, the Taiping Zoo a mere three minutes! Room was basic but clean, linen was new and so was the amenities. Will definitely return and take a bigger room the next time round.

it was a incredible stay, i enjoy the environment and the service was good! However, proper maintenance is needed especial the bathroom. bath tab leaking water and the kettle was yellowish . Overall, it was a good stay/

after i paid with hotels.com for King bed...i went to the villa & they said King bed is not available & already booked for others. How this happen? i already paid & they only booked via phone. After all, they gave me room with King bed. No phone in the room & room quite far from the reception. If anything happen, i must ran to the reception. But for the environment, OK!

Toxic Hotel. Rude and arrogant staff.
Hotel staff initially denied we had a booking until they saw proof of our booking sheet. Then the reception staff denied us breakfast until we complained to management. Hotel was very tired. This is supposed to be a relaxing retreat but it turned into a stressful stay.

I loved the rainforest setting, good birding on the property and surrounds. Wifi weak and slow. Food excellent, try the lamb in mint sauce. A bit far from town, get a taxi phone to call when you leave.

Beautiful, restful place.
This hotel is set on a beautiful piece of land that backs onto the jungle. It has streams, beautiful gardens, fish ponds. Restaurant is of good value as they serve all sorts of meals at good prices with friendly staff. Wish I could bring the whole place back with me.
