Nice option for staying near Amherst - easy drive to schools and retail. Plenty of parking and near rail/trail for biking/walking/running. Motel was a little dated but clean and had a good breakfast. Fitness center could have used a refresh.

carpet worn thin, splices wires not in a junction box at the heater, lamp switch would not turn off or on- to operate the lamp one had to pug the cord in, to turn it off one had to unplug it.

The property is run down. It was clean and beds were comfy, but our toilet wouldn’t flush at all. No plugs/charging units next to bed. Parking lot has potholes and can’t see where parking spaces are out front. I just thought someone randomly parked in the middle of the roadway.

Rooms are in good shape and the staff is friendly. The only issue with my room was a couple of ceiling tiles had obvious water stains (I was on the top floor).

Room smelled like smoke, the door didn't close and we had to SLAM it to get it to close. Coffee machine spit the coffee across the room, coffee packets were ripped inside and unusable, tub was chipped, balcony was filthy, phone message light blinked all night and front desk couldn't fix, no wifi provided, water in shower didn't stay hot. what a horror. I've requested a full refund.

old motel, but well kept up. No grab bars for shower. How could you get away with this in Mass? Had suite, clean and comfortable.

Property was easy to locate; convenient to Big Box shopping area; plus Trader Joe's (yay!) and easy drive to UMass campus and downtown. The downside was that's on a one way thoroughfare into the are so if you are coming or going one must make U turns to access the property when leaving for l-91 N or S. Not the end of things, but just not as easily accessible as some other places. Food was fine for breakfast. Oddly, no pitcher of milk available cereals; one has to open the individual aseptic cartons for use. Not the end of things, but difficult to drain enough to put onto cereal. The front desk has scissors to open the flip tabs for easier pouring. My room was clean enough and the beds comfortable. But the rugs in the halls, etc definitely were showing their age and there was some burn holes here and there (this for a NOW non-smoking hotel). Windows do NOT open which is a downer for me. I sleep with the windows open a crack, year round.

Had a nice room on the top floor - very quiet, spacious and clean. The building on the whole has a bit of a leak problem - two ceiling tiles in my room had obviously been under a leak, (and a picture on the wall had obviously been removed, making things a bit spartan). A trash barrel in the breakfast area was containing another drip. Other than that - friendly staff, convenient to dining of every sort, quiet and good value.

A decent value. When we arrived there was a dehumidifier running in the bathroom and the toilet was running for hours before stopping on its own. The room was appointed nicely and the bed was comfortable. The staff was welcoming and polite. It’s a three star facility at a three star price.

Poor service
I get that they may have been understaffed for Christmas but in the week we stayed there not once did they come to clean the room or give us new towels or toilet paper, we had to go to the desk and ask for it. We did not leave a tip.

The staff was amazing. Could not have been any more helpful, professional, responsive, and kind. The building hallways and rooms were rather shabby. The lobby was fine and the breakfast was amazing.. Would definitely stay again.

Avoid at all costs.
I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel over a busy weekend in Amherst, and was shocked that any hotel chain would operate in such poor condition. Admittedly, it was difficult to differentiate between general wear or uncleanliness, but the grimly floors and carpet in the lobby, peeling wallpaper throughout, and water stained drip ceilings were enough to turn your stomach.
