Das Frühstücks hatte eine gute Auswahl (Waffeln zum selbst machen, Tacos etc.) Das Zimmer war sauber und die Gegend sauber. Das Hotel liegt direkt am "The Alamo". Der "Riverwalk" ist auch nur wenige Meter entfernt. Parken ist etwas teuer für über 30€ pro Nacht

Im Spülbecken war noch die Zahnpaste vom Vorgänger. Im Frühstücksraum hat alles geklebt und war sehr schmutzig. Ein Blick hinter die Bar, hat dan noch den Rest gegeben. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer war nicht auszuhalten ( sehr laut) Der Mitarbeiter beim checkin war unfreundlich. Nach dem Motto „Hilfe ein Gast stört mich“ Der einige positive Mensch in diesem Hotel war alleine der Manager, freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Perfect location to explore San Antonio! Right across from the Alamo and walking distance to a majority of the major attractions in area. Friendly staff, free breakfast, and rooms with character. Will stay again!

It was not a large change hotel. Quiet, easy to get to River Walk, Alamo, and all of Houston Street. Lover the old look of the property but nice clean rooms.

The Hotels location was great. Close to everything downtown. Pictures of room online do not reflect what they actually look like. Very tiny and need a bit of repair and updating. Bed is comfortable, staff very nice and helpful. Daily breakfast which is a plus. Pricey parking. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.

The hotel is a lovely, historical building one minute walk from The Alamo and two minutes to Riverwalk. The staff were very friendly. What we didn't like was the unexpected, pricey valet service; there is no hotel parking. Also, room service was poor. On our first morning, it was non-existent, but we did sleep in late. On the second morning, I requested room service, but they only made the bed; no clean towels, no bins emptied, no coffee refill, no new TP.

This location is very conveniently located for parking and walking to the Alamo and the River walk. The happy hour , within the hotel for a beer or glass of wine is really nice and the breakfast buffet in the morning was great. This was a great spot to stay while visiting San Antonio.

Loved the atmosphere of the Hotel Gibbs. Staff was friendly. I am disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. I reported hair on the shampoo bottle and makeup splatters on the frame of the bathroom mirror, light switches had not been cleaned. The front desk clerk noted it for the cleaning staff and apologized. Honestly underwhelmed with that response.

I don’t really write reviews but we loved it here. I came here with my 4m/o and two friends of mine. All of the staff were so nice and always helped out when needed. My favorite was the valet (Jose) who is just amazing. I even got to take a Little walk w him! I hope I get to see him again cause I didn’t get to say bye! The rooms were nice and a good size. I loved how big the big the windows were. I could see the Alamo right outside.this is getting a little long so 10/10 I loved it.

The rooms are filthy, there is dirt buildup on the doors, what appeaered to be urine that had dripped down the wall in the batroom, shower had soap scum buildup all alond the outter tiles, the sheets and pillowcases had stains, the headboard had stains (very nasty) the rooms smell they are hot as ac didn't work, the beds are NOT pillowtop as described they are lumpy prison mattresses on a piece of plywood and all of this after the man at the front desk spent 15 minutes being extra rude yelling from the desk in our face and down the lobby complaining and chastising us because we arrive after midnight despite numerous attempts to phone the hotel with no one answering but he wouldnt stop yelling to hear that he did it to another couple right after us, al.ost as if he rook pride in it and im sorry if you take pride in anything thats hurting your guests that have driven 6-7 hours to arrive you are definitely falling behind in the hospitality industry because there are places within the same block that will treat you above and beyond hospitality expectations. I do not recommend staying here. Save your money and stay at a hotel that is nice. The photos online are a dupe. Stay at the Westin, the Drury or Courtyard for the same price and they are not like the Gibbs.

The Gibbs Hotel is definitely a place I want to visit again. It was a quiet area, very close to the Alamo and riverwalk, the hotel had a nice modern style, while still holding on to restore items from when the hotel open. 10/10.
