Exceeded expectations
Fantastic hotel, the service was flawless and above expectations, from the minute you drive up to the front door the the minute you leave the whole team work hard to really take care of you. All parts of the hotel are spotlessly clean.

Excellent 5 star spa hotel
All aspects of this stay were exceptional. The mix of modern and old country estate were just right. The grounds were beautiful, the gym was the best equipped I have seen and we will definitely return.

Disappointed
The trip started well, room was well appointed, enjoyed the spa, staff were friendly. Unfortunately we were woken at 6.30am by radio/television noise that staff appeared not to be able to locate. This was followed by house keeping entering our room whilst we were at breakfast despite the do no disturb sign being on and starting to clean the room before we had checked out. This is not acceptable and we had to ask them to leave and pack round the mess they had left. Managements response was 'thats never happened before' we will take you drinks and food off your bill. Yes a gesture but spoilt the end of our stay and at £600 a night you expect better...

Nothing to dislike. Beautiful property & interiors with great attention to detail with client convenience and comfort in mind, particularly in the rooms and spa area. Great nooks and corners for privacy, interesting grounds to explore. Dining especially at Shaun Rankin was an experience. Staff friendly and attentive. Planning another visit.

What a fantastic hotel. Real luxury with a friendly atmosphere. The spa ticked all the right boxes and the room was magnificent. The complimentary damson gin was a nice touch.

Amazing hotel - the grand scale, lots of restaurants , lobby areas and one of the best spa pools - 3 in total including a heated one outside. The icing on the cake is the level of service from all the staff

New Year splurge
Amazing hotel from start to finish. Yes, it was expensive but you get what you pay for. Great service, fantastic room with massive shower. Fruit, and damson gin provided for guests gratis. Great hotel to wander around with lovely gardens, even in January. Would love to stay again in the summer.

Fabulous
Superb stay - luxurious high-end hotel but with a warm and cosy feel, great to have log fires in bar and lounges and great to have a choice of restaurants serving high-quality food. Without exception the staff and service were amazing - so warm, friendly and attentive which made a lovely relaxed atmosphere- we really enjoyed our stay - Thankyou!
