Es war leider nicht möglich ein Frühstück to go zu erhalten, obwohl Prince Rupert DER Fährhafen für die Verbindung nach Port Hardy ist. Man muss spätesten um 5 Uhr an der 18 Stunden dauernden Fähre sein. Etwas kundenorientierung wäre schon wunschenswert.

Die Straße und der Bürgersteig vor dem Hotel war extremst kaputt. Die Türen der Unterkunft waren für den Gepäckwagen sehr unpraktisch.

In den Zimmern konnte man von Sauberkeit nicht sprechen. Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig. Leider wurde an der Einrichtung seit langem nichts mehr gemacht. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut sowie das Personal.

After arriving by ferry around midnight, we had an easy and uncomplicated check-in and a good night although it was noisy outside. The room was a little bit old but clean and everything worked.

Zum Ankommen nach der Inside Passage prima
Wir sind mit dem Schiff von Port Hardy angekommen und haben erst kurz vor Mitternacht eingecheckt, das hat prima funktioniert. Aufgrund seiner Größe ist das Hotel auch im Dunkeln leicht zu finden, der Service vor Ort ist freundlich. Von der Umgebung her strahlt es allerdings wenig Atmosphäre aus. Für den Zweck, den die Übernachtung erfüllen sollte, war es ein gutes Hotel.

Ostalgie in Kanada
Mein Begleiter (Kanadier, der einige Zeit in Berlin gelebt hat) sagte sofort: "Das hat ja schon einen gewisen Ost-Charme hier." Zurecht. Irgendwie erinnert der Bau an DDR-Plattenbauten, und auch das Innendesign hat eher so was ostalgisch 60er-Jahre-mäßiges. Unser Zimmer roch nach altem Zigarettenrauch, obwohl ich Nichtraucher bestellt hatte, und das Hotel glaube ich auch offiziell Rauchen verbietet. Die Lage ist nicht zu überbieten, weil hier der einzige Downtown-Stop des Shuttles zum Flughafen ist (und da der Flughafen auf einer Insel gelegen ist, ist das offizielle Shuttle der einzige Weg da hinzukommen). Letzendlich hatte ich wegen der Lage gebucht, und auc nur für eine Nacht, war also nicht wirklich auf ein aufregendes Hoteleerlebnis gespannt. Immerhin, das King size Bett war gut, und der Blick auf den Hafen, nebst umherflatternder Seeadler entschädigt auch.

I was not happy how i was recieved. I said hi as i was walking up to the counter and the lady said wheres your ID I Need your ID i was not even six feet from the counter. She seemed un trained did not even say hi and welcome to to highliner. Got to our floor and it just smelled of Marijuana. Then upon entering the room we noticed how cold it was and right away you can see finger prints on the headboard and a stcky substance smeared on it. Still have to check out in the morning more to continue . So the bed was comfortable and the mid night staff were nice. When checking out it went well ecause i had already paid for the room Before i even got there. They told me that i should have my damage deposit back right away but i will wait a couple of days because i know how it works. I see it as pe ding on my credit card website. Overall not bad but not the best time that i have had while staying there. I will stay wlsewhere next time.

City water was not clean,hotel didn't sully in room clean water for drinking and.for coffee making machine,only one . Paper cup for coffee,phoned front desk for water,they wants me uto come down to front desk pick up water,on demand they give us three bottle of water,then next dsy we have no room drinking water and to bree coffee.On loading zone guest park there vehicles that area no room to park car to losd our luggage .Next to hotel building is construction new building lots mess,also under groud parking of hot e l building floor concrete loose and pot hole only few parking was available, hotel staff using for themself.

Dirty-Toilet, bath/shower, towels, floors and bed were all dirty. Toilet clearly hasn’t been cleaned, large spills on the floor that hadn’t been mopped up, shower curtain was dirty, hair and old soap scum all through the shower, white towels were stained, bed look like it was just remade as the sheets were all wrinkled. The bathroom wall was damaged and the bathroom outlet didn’t work. The tub has a large soft spot that felt like you were going to fall through. The front desk staff were easy to check in with and when the elevator quit working they were instantly on having it repaired. The rooms are a little more modern but the cleaning was terrible.

What the Hell for this price!!!!
Les photos sont tres belle mais ne reflete plus l;es chambre et l exterieur de la propriete. le chaufage ne functionne pas ils vous laisse avec un petit chauffage d'appoint qui est tres bruillant et ils y avait un chien dans la chambre pardessus la mienne et il jouait avec une canne ou bouteille d'eau... les plancher sont en plancher flottant donc tres bruillant. ils y avait un jours pour voire a l'exterieur de la chambre au traves la porte d'entre. J,ai aviser le personelles et ils m'ont dit qui n'y avait pas de chien a l'etage au dessus de moi... de la verminne alors ... si vous avez le choix prenez les autre hotel.. bon sejours

What a disappointment very noisy all night very hot in room no air conditioning got a fan so it cooled of a bit pricing not worth. it also rates are different as we did see a reservation at @123.00 we paid $188.00 they told it was different site. Could not upgrade us as we booked through Expedia. No Parking but on the street. Not secure.

Where do I even start, first night I hand washed our 7th floor/room with Lysol wipes because it was so dirty and we had a 5 year old child with us. That night as I was falling asleep suddenly a mouse popped out from under the bed, hysterically I called the front desk, the male at the front was super kind and tried to make things better with placing me on the the same floor but different room to which I replied if there is a mouse in my room on this floor there is going to be more! He let me know of a “newer suite” on the 10th for. We had a 4 night booking and ended up leaving earlier than expected and going to the Crest. Front desk wouldn’t reimburse for the one night because they “accommodated an upgraded suite”. Although that upgraded suite still showed signs of mouse droppings in the main hallway (curtained area) of the 10th floor. I was unable to relax throughout the stay in fear of seeing another mouse! The “newer updated” room still wasn’t newer, the shower curtain had a yellow stain on it, and the sink had dish stains that I scrubbed out. All in all it was an extremely stressful stay, I have photos to prove it as well.

Found the room lacking. I booked for three people, but towels only supplied for two. No fan or air conditioning, had to leave the balcony door open. Being on the seventh floor, it was too warm. There was an underlying smell, that was poorly masked by the cleaner used. Only planned a one night stay as we were continuing our travel the next morning very early.
