Kathleen,You did not stay at the motel. You arrived and decided not to stay. That is ok bc it’s off season. You left “in house feedback” stating the place was noisy and the bed uncomfortable. You didnt stay. There was also a hurricane out in tue ocean, Hurricane Lee, so the place was a ghost town. Again, you chose not to stay and you were not charged for not staying. You did use the toilet though and left feces on the seat rim and your sanitary napkin in the trash. Unfortunatey, since I didn’t charge you for deciding not to stay I do not have your card info any longer to charge you a usage fee. I do not appreciate picking up your mess nor responding to this crappy review. PunIntended.

The single queen rooms are small. Each of the 4 queen rooms are photographed and from at least 2 different angles, so that the guest can see how small the rooms are before they book. The tv is a flat screen and we won't be upgrading them to HDMI any time soon. I will look into the mattress and AC in the room. Thank you

Mr. Claveria, You did book a queen room with a microwave and fridge and instead were upgraded to a room twice the size with two beds, a queen and double, and an ocean view. We do not have rooms with twin beds. Actually, we do, two rooms have pull-out love seats (10 and 27). Additionally, ALL of our rooms have a microwave and fridge. In fact, the room you were upgraded to has a fridge larger than your initial booking. It is true, we do not have shampoo or conditioner in any of the rooms. We do have the products on the property and if a guests asks for it, we accommodate them. We are a motel, which is where a motorist rests his or her head, a hotel has the amenities of home. We are a no frills place, but we are clean and offer beach access directly across the street and are within walking distance of everything. The Venetian blinds were broken apparently by the previous guest and would not open and shut. We appreciate you telling us, because they were replaced immediately. As for the room you ended up with, that was also an upgraded room from the one you reserved. It was a 2 room kitchen unit with a queen bed. It had a stove, full size fridge and kitchen table. The one you booked was a single 12x10' room with a college size fridge and microwave (see pictures associated with the four queen rooms we have). With all your complaining, you forgot to mention how we assign parking by vehicle size and you forgot where your spot was, so instead of asking the front desk, Kevin not, Eric, you took the spot closest to your upgraded room, which was the spot of an elderly couple with a handicap wife. When the husband confronted you in the morning, instead of apologizing for making her walk to her room, you insinuated he was a liar bc there was no handicap ramp to the room. The woman used a cane to step up the two steps to the concrete landing. What I say is a waste is having to respond my hard working time to rectify your review.

I am sorry you believe you did not receive the room you booked. Since no one came to the office to suggest such and you are posting anonymously, there is no way I can check. That also goes for the AC. We appreciate feedback so issues can be resolved, but giving a review that the AC was moldy helps no one bc I do not know which unit it was, same with the bed complaint. As for pillows, just ask the desk and we could have given you more. We've had a limited number of Canadians here with us this year and most have been very happy. I am guessing you are the guest who left her empty beer can on the stairs near the office, and the rear stairs of the back building instead of asking for a rubbish.

No wide angle shots are taken, but I do shoot the room from each side, so one can see how it is configured. Sorry you froze your veggies. I'd say to leave the fridge setting at 3/4.

Thank you Lisa for your review. This place is one of the original motels on the beach so there have never been phones in the room. That is also why we ask everyone for their cell number so that we can reach them in case we have some issue. As for the coffee pot, sorry there are none in the rooms, but we do have them on site. When you come back, just ask for one when you make your reservation and it will be in there upon arrival. No coffee, just filters, cups and spoons. We do have full kitchen units, that we initially book as weekly rentals early in the season, but we fill them with nightly rentals as available. And because we have kitchen units, we have other things that one may need, unfortunately bc there is no phone in the room one would have to walk to the front desk or call from their cell.

Thank you for your review. The single queen rooms are small, as pictured, and are located in the front building. All of them are accessed through locking sliding glass doors with a key. The rooms with queen and double beds are twice the size and are accessed though doors. They also have sliders for views. Again, thank you and hope to have your again.

You must have stayed in the rear building because of the light complaint. Those sliders have venetian blinds and we are thinking of switching to curtains because of this reason and because people do not really know how to work them without breaking them. Thanks Judy, I hope you gave your comments to the front desk, so that we know which AC is noisy and can address the problem. The rooms are small and the AC keeps up, maybe it was on the wrong setting. Some people use the "fan" instead of the AC setting. I think most establishments like to read reviews, but they are not helpful when specifics are not mentioned. My bed was squeeky- well which one. Thank you

Thank you for your review Katy. Each of our four queen rooms are pictured on the expedia site. I took the pcitures with an old ipone at 2 different angles so that people could see how small the queen rooms are. There is literally a walking space between the bed and the bureau. The queen / double room is twice the size, usually for only 10 more. Each room on our property has an A/C. I am sorry that you could not find yours or to ask the front desk for help. I believe you stay in room 21, and the AC is located at head level on the deck wall. The bathrooms in the queen rooms are also small. Two of the four, have a tiny cast iron tubs, one has a full size cast tub and the other has a thin shower stall. This building is at least 100 years old, probably one of the first motels on Hampton Beach and people traveled with less, you had a closet, the other queens do not. People were smaller and had less. Maybe someday we'll reduce the number of units we have and make the rooms bigger, but not anytime soon. What we do offer is an oceanfront property accessible to all the beach has to offer. A front deck with tables and chairs in case someone wants to enjoy the view, people watch or to get out of their small room.

Thank you for your review. Space is tight on the oceanfront. We have one car parking per reservation and that is why we ask for the make and model of the vehicle that the guest will be arriving in, so that we can logistically park everyone. It is best if people come a smaller car, should they have one, over their F150s or large SUVs. If parallel parking is an issue, staff if willing to do it for the guest. And yes, the building is one of the oldest on the beach and a bit dated, but the rooms are being updated individually. They are clean and the ocean is just across the street. Have a nice summer!
