Hotel is located in a hillside (good views), ca 10 mins from the beaches Kata/Karola. A car is absolutely necessary. Upon (late) arrival check-in was okay. Room was dirty and despite my complaint the following morning didn't get any better. Our room was also time-worn and old-looking. They've changed the sheets/towels every day though and the basic has been done but e.g. I found a dead gekko and it remained in the corner of the bathroom for two days when eventually I threw it out since was with a toddler. The following morning breakfast was a huge disappointment. Especially breakfast personnel. It's definitely not what one expects being in Thailand. We only got some smiles because we've had our 2 yrs old daughter with us. It's buffet style but we supposed to get a plate of fruit, eggs of our choice and some croissants/buns (the cheap version). I've tried to get them bring out some every morning, sometimes successful, more often not. The buffet was hardly ever filled up. They clearly cater for the large Asian groups staying at the hotel (and we had no chance of getting anything at the buffet apart from the awful tasting varieties, though I love Thai food and wouldn't mind it for breakfast it was tasteless, not eatable at all). In the end we gave up, got some muesli and milk and stayed in our room/terrace to have breakfast or ate out. So if you expect the luxurious accommodation/catering they promise on their website, be prepared, it's not (any more?).
