Insanely Overpriced
Nice view and clean, but that’s about it. Biggest regret of our trip. We spent so much per night and then double with the fees for 2 nights off season - feel like we got ripped off! We’re OK with rustic, but the tiny shower stall had a corner view into the kitchen, the bathroom sink was the size for a small RV, and the kitchen has nothing redeemable except a nice coffee maker. Plus there’s a 4 story monstrosity being built next door - just 30 feet away. Luckily, there was a break in construction while we were there. This place is NOT worth the price they charge!! Beware of fees besides the nightly price.

Don't rent on the full moon
We loved this little cottage and it was in a very beautiful location until the tide came in and totally surrounded the cottage in the middle of the night. We evacuated the cottage and called the vacasa representative in Oregon and we're told someone would call us as soon as possible we didn't hear from anybody for an hour we didn't know what to do we sat in our car away from the cottage with pillows and blankets and waited till the tide went out we did get a call and we're informed that this is something we should expect from a coastal rental I ended up going back in after the tide receipted it happened again the next night I think we should have been warned about this I think there should be a note at the cottage letting people know that this happens we found out later at many of the full moons

A Maine marsh-side delight
This rustic cottage on the marsh side of Wells beach was a delightful place to stay for 2 adults and their dog. The cottage was exactly as described in the listing and in VRBO reviews and was spotlessly clean upon arrival.

Great Location
Only a few minutes walk to the beach and perfect sunsets from the porch overlooking the tidal river. Super clean. Only knock is the tiny shower stall, but the upsides of the cottage far out way that minor inconvenience. We'll be returning without worry.

Great location, stunning views and super cozy feeling! We only had small glitches and things to note: some of the outlets/the toaster oven seem to not work properly; the wifi didn't work but we were able to set it up with the help of the property manager; and there is construction on neighboring properties. Would visit again!

Location is the highlight of the cottage
Lovely, cozy cottage right on the marsh, very close to beach public access. Nice and clean. Only drawback is the shower in the bathroom. The shower walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling, leaving approx 8” gap so the Bath is basically open air to the kitchen. Not very private. Suggest only for a couple. Could use a refresh for living room furniture. But gorgeous views and clean. Also, no air or heat in the bedrooms. Just one unit in the dining area.

Everything you need for a summer week at Wells Beach!
I've been going to Wells Beach since I was a toddler. Now, at 50, my own family and I still make it there most years. This place was perfect. It took me back to our stays at the "Tidewater" on Roberts Lane. As long as you don't mind a very tiny bathroom and kitchen for the week, this place is charming and delightful for a summer week vacation at Wells Beach. Vacasa property manager was also impressive. We had a backed up bathroom sink on day 1... it was fixed by day 2 w/o talking to anyone on the phone (or even being at the house.) There app and customer service was excellent.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. It was fully stocked with everything I could possibly need to cook and plenty of towels. The outdoor space is a great spot to have coffee and watch the birds in the morning and relax and watch the sunset in the evenings.

Adorable Cozy seaside bungalow
A glimpse of a slower, more simple time. One of the last of its kind, this charming seaside cabin is nestled next to the river marsh with bird watching, beautiful sunsets, easy access at high tide for paddling, and a three minute walk to Wells Beach! Friendly, family, and dog loving atmosphere. Well equipped with everything you could need for your beach get away. A bit of heaven. My new favorite place.

Relaxing get away.
The location of this cottage was great. Being able to sit out and watch the tides roll in and out was just what we were looking for. Only downside is the size of the bedrooms and layout. The rooms were a lot smaller than we thought and we thought by the pictures the one room with the bunk beds had one bed that came out from underneath. That was not the case. While you could sleep 7 in this place the max I would have is 4 adults. Otherwise it was pretty crowded. The four of us really enjoyed our week here.

My wife and I both have allergies so the first thing we did is check the air conditioning filters. Both were clogged with dust. Cleaned the best we could. But they need to be replaced. Other than that property was fine.

Awesome little cottage pretty much on the beach!
My wife and I, along with our dog, came to stay in late October, and can't really complain. While small, we had more than enough space for our needs, and the short walk to the beach was excellent. The view out over the salt marsh was especially good in the evenings, as the sun set in the distance. Only negative we had was the lack of heat, but that's my fault for not checking the listing more closely. We also chose to travel in October, so should have anticipated something like that. All in all a great stay, definitely would come back again!

Cute, Quiet and Small Marsh house with high tide coming right to the doorstep!
I must say when I drove up to the house it was high tide and the water was literally right up to the house it was quite amazing to have the ocean literally in your backyard just steps away!! I walked in and the house were just like the pictures!! We had a great time walking right up the street or 2 to the main Wells Beach with my dogs, who had a blast since they don't get to the beach often, since dogs aren't really allowed on beaches where I go! The neighbors on the street esspecially the ones on both sides weren't home so that was a plus because there really close to the house.i like being left alone I was happy it worked out esspecially no contect check in! There was a key lockbox to get your keys at the doorstep! The heater/AC WAS AMAZING!! we stayed in end of October so we got cold at night and it warmed up the house within 10 minutes it was a beast I loved it! The bed in the living room was so comfy, we used the full bed for me and hubby and I literally couldn't move.. it was a tight sleeping quarters at night! But they did give So many pillows, Blankets and tons of towels which was nice! Easy to clean floors with cleaning supplies and tons of board games was a nice surprise. Cons were the bathroom you had no privacy going #2 with friends being there, plus no air freshner(we ended up buying 1 and leaving it there for the next people) The screen doors had locks but couldn't latch it for the life of me and my husband. As wierd as it was there were no scissors, pens, like a junk drawer for things you might need to help you cook or open etc. The kitchen was tiny but had very lil dimple ingredients (wasn't expecting much tho). Microwave and toaster circuit outlet kept tripping, and its in the room of our friend so we woke her up to make breakfast cause its in her room. Dog hair was all over the futon, looked like a long retriever hair. I didn't notice it was first cause it was the color of the futon but when I got up I had massive hair all over my sweatshirt and pants. Not homeowners fault at all, the cleaner should of at least noticed it. I left before 10am for check out and got breakfast but noticed my dog left his ball was missing n knew it was in the backyard so I went back to find in in the yard after 11am and the cleaner pulled up and was misserable. She prolly thought we were there still and was pissed we didn't leave yet. But to be honest those are little things compared to the memories we gained. The living room is amazing to lookout!!

Nicely decorated cottage
Tastefully decorated, tiny cottage in a very populated neighborhood. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The air conditioning was appreciated although it doesn't reach the bedrooms, bring fans. Perfect for a couple or very small family as there is little yard due to rising tides in the marsh.

Cozy cabin, just right for 2 people. Panoramic views out back room (where we spent most of the time). Marsh view at night in full moon was amazing. Plenty of birds to observe during tide cyles. 5 minute easy walk to Wells beach for early morning sunrise and walking the shoreline. Very pleased overall. Bathroom had plenty of hot water, but very small. Main bedroom slept well, kitchen sufficient. Tight quarters, but to be expected in a cabin this size. No concerns at all. Cozy, cute and quaint. We would absolutely stay again!

Wonderful getaway!
The location of the property is superb! Sitting on the front porch section watching the birds is so peaceful! A short walk up the street and you arrive at the ocean! The kitchen is equipped with all you need! Supermarket is quite close to the property.

Great location but not happy with VACASA.
VACASA and HomeAway fees exceeded the cost of the rental. Absolutely impossible to reach anyone from VACASA when we had a crisis. No phone or way to contact VACASA when we needed to. Next tenant arrived before check out time. Will never use VACASA again.

The cottage is small and quaint. The beach is easily accessed. Handy to restaurants. The view on the river is beautiful. We enjoyed watching the herons, especially on a rainy day. It's a nice place to lay back and unplug.

I would not recommend this place, electrical work highly suspect, windowsnailed shut...:(
We only slept in the full sized bed and we did not use the bedroom with the bunk beds. The electricity in the bed room with the bunkbeds did not seem to be operating. I believe the electrical work in that house is highly suspect and I was a little concerned... I wonder if it would pass code.The other major issue is the refrigerator. It worked fine, but it was so wobbly I would be fearful if there were children around because it actually seemed like it was ready to fall right on the floor. It was a little annoying that all the windows could not be opened because they were nailed shut. The bathroom was so small. I do not think I have ever seen such a small sink... and that shower.... I am a small person 4'11" , 100#s so it was fine for me, but my husband is 5'8" and about 175"s. After my first shower I told him he was going to hate it because I am sure his body touched all sides of the shower. The cleanliness of the place was a little questionable. I wondered when the last time the blankets were cleaned. So... this was our first time using vacasa. If we use vacasa again, we will definitely do more research on the place we settle on. This place again?... no, I don't think so. It was fine for our little getaway and our visit to Maine, but this place will definitely not be on my list to return to or on my list of recommendations....Sadly a poor choice, we definitely got what we paid for... maybe less.

We thank this guest for taking the time to share their feedback with us. We have had a maintenance crew go to the home to restore the power in the bedroom, it turns out it was a tripped breaker. The crew also leveled the fridge. We have talked to the homeowner and they will be fixing the windows so that guests can enjoy the fresh, spring air. The comforters are cleaned on a regularly scheduled basis but will also discuss with the homeowner about replacing them. We hope the guest was able to enjoy their stay and hope to be able to host them again in the future.

We loved this cute little house!
This house was perfect for the 3 of us to spend our vacation. The location was great, 5 minute walk to the beach, and the view was spectacular. This was our first time renting a house, VACASA made everything so simple. Maintenance was easily reachable and super friendly when light bulbs blew. A washer and dryer would be nice, we had a hard time drying stuff out. The level of the tide in the marsh, during storm surge, was a bit disconcerting but still cool to watch. Study your tide charts! Our weather was 50/50 but we were still sitting on the beach every night, cocktail in hand. Overall we are very happy with our stay and would definitely do it again. We saved tons by buying a weeks worth of groceries instead of eating out 3 meals a day for a week. We will be back!

Wonderful view, with so much wildlife to watch
The property is a bit small, but cozy for just a few people. The view is amazing with the sunset, and the area is extremely quiet. I recommend to any couples out there looking to have a romantic get away.
