Das Hotel an sich ist natürlich ohne Zweifel ein wunderschönes Haus. Die Zimmer sind zwar alt aber dennoch gepflegt und gut erhalten. Zunächst bekamen wir ein Zimmer, welches eher einer Katzenkammer ähnelte und absolut nicht unserem Anspruch entsprach. Nachdem ich mich dann beschwerte, bekamen wir jedoch sofort ein neues Zimmer, welches um einiges besser und schöner war. Ich war bereits in vielen 5 Sterne plus Hotels auf der ganzen Welt und muss ehrlich sagen, dass der Service im The Plaza New York absolut zu wünschen übrig ließ. Bei einer Zimmerrechnung von 4000$ erwarte ich, dass die Zimmermädchen morgens und nicht erst am Nachmittag die Räume säubern und aufräumen. Am zweiten Tag bekamen wir eine Nachricht, dass wir von abends um 11 bis zum nächsten morgen um 6 kein Wasser haben werden. Wo gibt es denn bitte sowas? Ich verweise nochmals auf die Rechnung! Der darauf folgende Tag begann dann morgens mit einem super Duft aus der Toilette. Die Wasserleitungen waren wohl doch noch nicht in Schuss und die fäkalien unserer Hotelnachbarn Schwammen in der Toilette und diese war verstopft! Ein absolutes NO GO! Das wurde zwar sofort behoben, dennoch gab es hierfür weder eine Entschuldigung noch eine Aufmerksamkeit. Das Personal wie z.b. Der concierge, welcher mir 1 Koffer in das Taxi gehoben hat und mich die anderen 2 Koffer selbst hat tragen lassen, war dann mit seiner Bezahlung auch noch unzufrieden und wurde pampig und ausfallend. Zimmerrechnung hat nicht gestimmt...

Kilked first, then revived.
A crying bride with a destroyed wedding day. An annoyed groom who has to accommodate his in-laws in his room on his wedding night because their room was not habitable for 2 hours ... that's only 10 percent of the total unbelievable events. To disturb the most important day in your life. not to make up for it. We expected so much. The house is wonderful. The staff have for the most part no idea about the hotel industry. Only the really high staff. The incompetent staff almost ruined our wedding day and we were promised to save what can be saved. But then our wedding night was destroyed. After a lot of pressure, Guest Experience Manager Mrs. A. Korbut took care of it. They paid for our lunch and fully refunded our rooms for the entire stay of 9 nights. In hindsight, the hotel made sure that we were compensated. This was appropriate and helps us to stop feeling so bad. No one can give us back the day of our wedding and the wedding night. We thought about taking legal action. All hair-raising incidents are documented. Fortunately, the hotel has responded adequately. We got our money back. Thanks for sparing us the need to continue to deal with the sad matter. As good advice for the hotel: It is a wonderful house full of memories of the glorious old days. Please get staff that is worthy of the house. Here people should work who have respect for the great history of the house. Actually, the hotel should get skilled workers from Vienna. These hotel staff understand their job

Tolles Hotel, alt eingesessen in New York.
Sehr gute Lage direkt am Central Park, Zimmer mit Blick am Park sehr ruhig. Tolle große, geräumige Zimmer + Bad. Zum Teil ist jedoch das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Teppiche im Gang und im Zimmer mit Flecken, die Möbel zum Teil etwas zerkratzt. Essen sehr gut jedoch ausgesprochen hochpreisig.

Ich hätte bei weitem mehr erwartet.
Schon der Checkin war ein Drama, nachdem man uns erklärt hat das unser Zimmer leider noch nicht bezugsfertig ist (abends um 19.00 Uhr) hat man uns einfach 25 Minuten an der Rezeption stehen lassen. Alles in allem ein sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt. Ich bin mir das sicher, dass das Hotel sicher auch mal bessere Tage hatte aber das war wahrscheinlich noch bevor 2/3 der Zimmer (nämlich alle mit gutem Blick) zu Eigentumswohnungen umgebaut und verkauft wurden.

Great location, sadly hotels staff is not trained properly , definitely does not act like a five start hotel. No one helped me with a bags outside when my car pulled ip to the entrance . Stunning property and hotel. The location is fabulous and the building is absolutely gorgeous. Service was average and not what I expect from a 5-star hotel. My son got a little candy basket on the first night but there was nothing else the rest of the stay (a couple of chocolates when turning down the beds would be a nice touch at the very least). They called me Mister instead of Ms on the welcome card and did not make any effort to correct once I pointed out I wasn’t a man. There was no effort to get to know us or talk to us. The $65 daily fee is tacky and inelegant. I’m not in New York to eat pancakes or wings or other outdated 80s hotel food (their menu is terrible other than the Palm Court tea) so we only used that amount once. The hotel refused to budge when I mentioned there wasn’t much on the menu we could eat due to food restrictions and said it’s the same for everyone. The blow dryer in the bedroom was gross. The vent was fully crusted with gunk and really needs to be either cleaned or replaced. The bedroom was spacious and beautiful. Room was cleaned around 7pm every day which I did not like - we typically left early for long days of exploring and shopping and came back at about the time the room was being done which was inconvenient. Overall, staying at the Plaza was an amazing experience but I will look for another hotel for our next stay due to the overall lackluster service.

This is a beautiful property. The smell when you walk in is delightful Gardenias. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and were a welcome relief after a long day of walking. We had always wanted to stay there and are so glad we did. In addition the rooms are beautiful you feel like royalty.

Overall this was the BEST hotel we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived from the airport until we left 7 days later back to the airport. Door staff were attentive, available, and very helpful with rides not associated with the hotel. We cannot say enough about the Concierge staff - EVERY request we made they were there with an answer, recommendation, or just plainly made reservations for us. Best Concierge ever - especially Bill and Juliet! Our 2 room suite was an upgrade which we needed for 7 days in this luxury hotel.The one issue we had was taken care of immediately which was the mattress - way too soft for our taste - but was changed out almost the same hour we requested it. Thank you Plaza Hotel staff for making this the best 70th birthday celebration we could ask for. We will stay again.

we started checking in to a room half size what we booked an paid for.. the moved to something else, but have to pay more.. and that was the constant feeling, that nomatter what we did it cost extra.. aslo we paid somekind of dayly fee to use the facilities?? i guess that what yuo pay when you book a room?? all in all , we wil never come back and we will never recommed this hotel to anyone..

The Paza is the most iconic NYC experience...it is not just a hotel. I have stayed in NY hotels for decades, none come close to The Plaza....I will only stay there from now on! Classic, beautiful, safe, close to everything, simply magnificent.

An amazing hotel, one of the top 5 I’ve been too. Smells like flowers throughout the hotel and everyone was friendly. Bed with comfortable and the shower had plenty of pressure. Quite in the room except some minor honking or sirens every once’s in a while, but it’s New York, so not a big deal. I would stay here again, only thing I was not a fan of was the in room dining, everything was over cooked, but there are a lot of places to eat around so wasn’t a deal breaker.

My wife and I have always thought of staying at the Plaza hotel and we finally did for her birthday. We checked in on the 29th of January with great customer service from Neil at the front door and with our concierge who brought our bags up but we couldn’t even get to our rooms for about 30minutes because the elevators were not working. For the next 3 days of our stay the staff never greeted us, looked at us with snarky faces and I had an encounter with an extremely rude staff who treated me as if I was dumb when both of our hotel key cards were not working. Super disappointed and pissed off with the encounter of the bald guy who I believe was a manager there! Take your money to St. Regis or literally any other 5 star hotel. Also the rooms are very old, dirty and run down as well. Not worth it.

Iconic and beautiful. If they had more than 5 stars - it’s worth it. You get what you pay for so don’t skimp. Staff were friendly and helpful - excellent service. Room was quiet, clean and beautiful - glimpses of the park.

El hotel es un emblema en la ciudad de nueva york , queria hospedarme hace mucho tiempo , el poco staff es muy amable pero definitivamente hay un problema serio en housekeeping la limpieza de abajo de las mesas , dejabo de la cama había vasos de otro huesped, y no tiene sentido porque es un hotel bastabte costoso, nos hospedamos 3 dias y el segundo dia tube ue llamar par que arreglaran la habitación, en el lobby uno de los seguridad me dio un piropo delante de mi hijo y luego me pidoo disculpas diciendo que no sabia que yo era huesped en el hotel , creo que ese tipo de cosas no deben pasar , la belleza y la historia del hotel deben estar a la par con el servicio elegante. No creo que vuelva a hospedarme en ese hotel
