Best location in NYC! Veröffentlicht am 04.08.2015
I always choose Marriott hotels, and I am usually very pleased with them (particularly when they are almost $500/night)--this hotel doesn't quite make the cut as one of my top choices, and I probably won't be staying there again. This is a "nice" hotel in a wonderful location--you are close to all the action, but it's nowhere near as crazy as staying closer to Times Square. I rented 2 park-view rooms for our party of four, and we had called earlier in the day to see if we could be on the same floor--the employee I spoke with said she had noted it in the reservation, but we were given rooms two floors apart. My reservation also somehow got confused with another guest's reservation, so we were given a key to a room and unlocked that room only to find that there were already another guest's belongings in there. Thankfully, they were out of their room, but I'm sure the staff was grateful that I was an honest person and didn't steal things from them (and I'm pretty sure they never even told the other guest about their mistake). The housekeeping, security, and front door staff were wonderful, but the front desk staff member I dealt with was not very welcoming or appropriately apologetic (at 8:00 on a Thursday night, she was the only one working the desk, and there were four or five guests in line behind me). The on-site restaurant, Southgate, was good for a quick drink or two, but the food was fairly average (and, of course, overpriced--as is everything in NYC).

Dear Leigh Ann, We appreciate this opportunity to learn more about your experience and thank you for your loyalty to Marriott Hotels and Resorts. We are glad to know that you enjoyed our location near Central Park that affords our guests peace and quiet. We do apologize that your request could not be fulfilled. While we would love to honor every guest request, we must stress that they unfortunately cannot be guaranteed, and we are disappointed if this was not the impression you were given. Moreover, the security of our guest rooms is one of our top priorities, and this error is something that will be reviewed internally so we can ensure it is not repeated. We thank you for your feedback and for allowing us the chance to accommodate your trip to New York City. We would love to serve you again, and hope that you might give us the chance to improve upon this most recent stay.
