Amazing Views!
Lovely house, photos don't do it justice, the views out the back are absolutely stunning, we especially loved the top balcony. 8 of us visited, there was plenty of room, the top bedroom is really spacious. Would definitely visit again, thank you!

Fantastic View
We had a lovely week in Clydfan and were particularly impressed by the view from the back of the house. The house is comfortable and’s well equipped and the garden is the best one we’ve had the pleasure of using on any of our stays in cottages in West Wales. In fact, it’s the only one we’ve actually used due to it being landscaped and made into a usable space, rather than just a steep hill. The only negative was the staircase in the house, which is a tight spiral staircase; it is difficult to use for people with mobility issues.

This is the second time my family and I, dogs included, have stayed here. A beautiful house in a prime location just on the edge of town and minutes to the beaches. Lots to see and do in town and in the surrounding cardigan Bay area. Well worth a stay and we will be booking again soon.

Beautiful view in great location
New Quay is a lovely little fishing village on Cardigan Bay, with porpoises swimming in the harbour. This lovely house, very well converted, overlooks the bay. The kids bedroom is brilliantly done with table football, Xbox and Nintendo. We had a great week. My only note to potential visitors is the stairs are a very steep, narrow spiral and may not be suitable for older or less able visitors. But lovely place.

Recent stay
Nice property overall and I would return. Great views out the back and if you have kids the loft bedroom is ideal. Very tight spiral staircase so if anyone has any mobility issues its a non starter. No parking at property but you can park for 1 week near the Costcutter for £21, approx 300m away. Two issues that could do with sorting out are the front bedroom window doesnt lock fully so can be a bit drafty. Also the back bedrooms bed is very soft and showing its age. For someone like me with a dodgy back it was a worry. Overall though we had a good stay helped by unseasonally fine weather.ps We saw the dolphins off the quay and during a boat trip.

Fab location, fab house, Jo really has thought of everything. Cute cottage with fantastic views right in the centre of NQ. Been a regular in NQ for 30 years but first time in Jo’s property and she didn’t disappoint. Hopefully get lucky enough to stay again. A lovely house but needing TLC
This property is perfectly located for Newquay with everything a short walk away and an amazing view of the coast. It has been beautifully decorated and was obviously once a really charming retreat. The owner responds quickly to any correspondence and has left a wealth of information to ensure you can find everything the area has to offer. However, the house really shouldn’t be let until some essential maintenance is carried out. There is no railing on the top balcony so children would easily fall to their death, dishes had been put away wet (not good in a humid environment), the top drawer in an upstairs cupboard was full of black hairs where I was going to put the children’s clothing, the white outdoor furniture has perished, the en-suite shower needs some bleach and there was a leak from the shower through the ceiling into the lounge room. Judging by the stain on the roof it isn’t new though the owner did say they had thought it had been fixed. We enjoyed our time away and it has been thoughtfully renovated but definitely not a place for young children until the work is done.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. I take on board your comments, I'm sorry that the cottage didn't meet your standards. Unfortunately, due to lock down in Wales only opening up as the first bookings started, it has been difficult to keep up with all the maintenance work that I would like to have done. As you will have seen, the downstairs deck has just been replaced with a new composite deck, however when taking down the stairs to the upper deck, the balustrade to the upper deck collapsed and it hasn't been possible to replace it yet. Fortunately it is not possible for children to get onto that deck without opening the window which is quite difficult which should prevent the danger to children, I am in the process of rectifying it as soon as possible. The outside seating has finally been delivered, I'm sorry it wasn't here in time for your trip. I hope to welcome you back to Clydfan in the future when you can appreciate the cottage when the maintenance work has been undertaken.

Fabulous Property in a beautiful part of Wales
If you're looking for a property that has it all, this is it!!! Morning cuppa sat on the decking looking out to sea, a 5 minute walk to the beach to pick up a dolphin spotting trip, afternoon burgers in the suntrap of a backyard and as the evening gets chilly a movie in front of the log burner. The house is amazing, everything you need from Wi-Fi for the teenager, a dishwasher for the adults and an amazing attic room for the pre teens. My daughter chose the property for her 9th birthday celebration weekend and Jo was more than happy for me to forward on banners and balloons so the attic room could be decorated for our arrival. She's said it was the best birthday ever!! We didn't want to leave, have already recommended to friends and hopefully we will be back to visit soon.

Brilliant cottage
The cottage was very clean and cosy. It was made special with all the little extras that were included i.e. plenty of board games, lots of DVDs and CDs, binoculars, and every type of kitchen utensil/equipment you can think of. What a gem of a place, location, comfort, outstanding views and well equipped house.
We had the most wonderful stay. We were a family of 5 and one beagle. Loads of space to enjoy quiet peaceful times. The house has the most outstanding views and we spotted Dolphins every day from the upstairs terrace. The house is well equipped with everything you could possible need and the outdoor furniture was so comfortable to use. We rebooked whilst we were there for next year as we didn't want to miss out. I have a feeling that more 'staycations' will be happening. On another note the house is perfect for a winter break. The view across the harbour over to the Welsh mountains I can imagine will be amazing and theres a wood burner. Perfect. Thank you for hosting us and for anybody reading book quickly as it really is worth it.

Beautiful cottage. Our home from home. We can't get enough of Clydfan. It is so cosy yet bright and airy. Views are fantastic from the lovely rear garden. Everything you need is in this gem. Lovely, relaxing stay in Newquay. The garden is amazing, a right little sun trap. The cottage is decorated nicely and feels very homely. The spiral staircase may not be suitable for everyone and it’s about a 10 minute walk away from the town, down a steepish hill. The town is a lovely little seaside town, would recommend the Blue Bell for breakfast and the Pepper Pot for dinner. All in all a very good, relaxing stay in a lovely little house. New Quay in the Winter
A great break despite the weather. Whilst New Quay was quiet ,it was exactly what we wanted. With a dog in tow and a great location in the town, we had access to everything we neede for our break. The house was great, with excellent location and all the amenities you could possibly need. The garden had great views and facilities which were not used because of weather but would be great when the sun arrives.

Our third time staying and still enjoyed every day. Went on the dolphin boat again 😆, although we only saw one dolphin , it was a relaxing trip. Fabulous house, great views and well equipped.
My family of four and two spaniels had a great week here. The weather was variable but the location meant that we had a great time. The house is well stocked and had everything we needed to entertain us day and night. Beaches and town are so close. The view of the sea was simply a pleasure to watch. The garden so simple and pretty was a great place to relax. Would stay again. The stairs are steep and probably not ideal for anyone infirm

Perfect seaside holiday home with amazing views and close to all amenities.
This is our third stay at this property and as always loved the house, position and views. The house has everything you need and all the comforts of home. A very dog friendly house and garden. The bi fold doors and that view are fab. We are already looking forward to staying again in the future.

WOW!!!
We have just returned from an amazing weekend. It is like home from home but with the most amazing views. Everything you could possibly need to make the best of your stay. Well thought out and very tastefully decorated and furnished, we all loved the place and can't wait to return. We were celebrating my husbands' 50th birthday, so I asked for some decorations if possible, we arrived to balloons, banner and a bottle of Prosecco. Thanks for making it extra special. New quay cottage with amazing views
This was our second stay in Jo's cottage and we are already planning to stay again. The house is lovely and comfortable with fab views. The owner provides lots of useful information and help is only a phone call away. New Quay is as enchanting as ever and the house is a home from home. Can't wait to return.

Excellent stay in New Quay
The property was lovely. It was very well equipped and clean. The children loved the attic room, especially the shark chairs! The views from the patio were spectacular. New Quay is a gorgeous place. We particularly recommend The Black Lion Hotel - food was beautiful and well priced. We will definitely be back!
