Bad hotel experience
The room selection was terrible Condition of the hotel was I needed some work Room selection was very poor Hotel located less than 1 mile from the airport And because of that my sleep was disturbed starting 2 AM in the morning due to FedEx flights in and out of the Memphis airport I have been traveling and staying in hotels for long periods of time And this is by far my worst experience in staying in one of your hotels.com partner Hotels Staffing needs at the hotel was very poor I would never ever use this facility again

shouldn’t even be listed as a hotel.
The hotel was under construction. There was no water. There were vermin. No service in the hotel or around. Hotel staff were very nice and apologetic about the poor condition of the hotel.

We book with the Clarion because they have a shuttle for the airport. They said it was broke down and they were also renovating the hotel. We were not aware of this or we would have booked at a different hotel. Also the pool and bar were not accessible. We had to pay an additional $100 to get a ride with Uber to the airport.

Staff was fine but took way to long to check in. I understand people have to learn and that’s totally fine. But, I didn’t care for the roaches I saw, nor the fact that my room didn’t have basic amenities like coffee and cups. But the worst part about this hotel is where it is located. There’s a sketchy gas station across the street and dilapidated buildings surrounding it. Expedia or the hotel should make this more clear. This is more of a gripe at the location of the hotel rather than the hotel and staff itself but I was also not pleased with that. I will not be staying here again.

No airport shuttle, fine for overnight stay
We booked this hotel due to close proximity to airport AND free airport shuttle (as advertised on their website). However, after we got there we were told they had no shuttle. We were able to get a taxi but had to call a few companies to get a 5am pickup. Pool closed. Hotel is older but everything was pretty clean. Staff very friendly!! Overnight stay to sleep while waiting to leave for airport was fine. Would have been happier with stay if had shuttle.

NEVER staying here again!
This hotel needs to be torn down. They have been renovating for more than a year. The carpet is atrocious. The staff try to do as best they can. It's not their fault there is so much wrong with the place. There wasn't enough towels to go around. The mattress in the couch is paper thin. The "Regional Director" Nita Carney needs to go back to some classes regarding customer service. Jimmy the maintenance man did all he could and tried to accommodate you with everything he could. The agent at the desk (Rateah?) was such a sweetheart and so graceful under all the heat she was getting from customers. I felt bad for her and even didn't want to complain to her because of how she carried herself with the others before me. However the night desk agent was the polar opposite. I went to tell her there was no sheets, pillowcases, or comfortable on the couch bed, she told me she could give me pillow cases because that was all she had. When I wouldn't leave she asked me what did I want her to do. I had to insist that she call someone and do it right in front of me before she would budge. Jimmy came through with sheets and covers and he is maintenance!!! I wouldn't put my dog in this hotel!!!!

A Bit Run Down
The staff was friendly and helpful. That’s where the positive ends. The room was dirty and needed updating. The shower was dirty enough that I chose not to use it. The ceiling was discolored and appeared to have mold. There were two additional doors leading into the room. One, which I’m assuming leads to another room and unused, simply had a couch shoved up against it. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Disappointing
Uninviting. Coffee maker in room but no coffee, no cups, no glasses in bathroom. Told we needed to go to front desk and ask for them. Restaurant and bar closed due to renovation. This was not mentioned in promotion. Included breakfast which was only cold cereal. No hot foods, no tea, no juice coffee not hot. Worst I’ve ever seen. Staff seemed embarrassed. Near airport and planes went until 2:30 a.m. and resumed at 5 a.m. We felt the room should have been discounted because not as advertised.

NOT WORTH THE PRICE
The bed was super small and not what we were supposed to have. Then the clerk couldn't find us the room we were supposed to have. Apparently, no other rooms were clean. Our bathroom still had someone's used soap and shampoo in the shower. The shower is beautiful, but it flooded the entire bathroom (poor design), which explains the peeling wallpaper with mold on the back. The worst thing was the breakfast. They had oatmeal, cereal, and bagels. None of that is listed on the site. Choose a better hotel for a better night's sleep.

I am so sorry to hear you had the issues you did. We strive to provide the best possible service. We are under a large-scale renovation to correct some of the issues. Go elsewhere.
Our stay was scary. There was almost no one there, the room was not clean at ALL. The young lady at the counter could not have been nicer but it was really gross. It was as if, even for the few people who were at this massive hotel, they couldn't handle us. The ice makers didn't work, every surface was dirty, old, I was so sad. and felt abandoned.

The bed was comfy and the sheets clean, but after that the rest of the room was very dusty, dirty, and lightly wiped down on high use surfaces. Everything was covered in lint. The curtains hanging and torn. An outlet fell out of the wall when I tried to unplug something. Big coach roach on the wall staring at me when I woke up.

The hotel is old, outdated, par below standard. Our first room that was assigned smell cigarettes, but the receptionist moved us to another room. The tub drain was clogged, again the receptionist was quick enough to send maintenance to clean up the drain. The hotel staff was very friendly, it’s just the hotel needs a renovation.

Easy to book online. We had to book a last minute stay when our flight was cancelled. The airport shuttle was easy to get back to the hotel. We had a suite and it was clean. Breakfast in the morning was less than desirable. The sausage on the sandwich was gray and rubbery.

My only complaint was the noise from the parking lot all night. Didn’t get much rest.

Older hotel. Needs a dehumidifier. Free breakfast was Grab and Go, sausage bisquit and granola bar brown bag, coffee and water, apples and oranges available. Not impressed. But ..Very convenient to airport.

We booked this hotel thinking the pool would be available. Unfortunately the pool was closed. The breakfast was awful - no milk was available, only water and coffee. When we walked into the lobby, it smelled like a skunk right before we walked up the stairs. We probably will not stay here next time we visit Memphis. We could have stayed somewhere else, saved $40 and received the same quality of stay.

This hotel needs a total makeover. Sewer not working properly, not enough help. Our room didn’t get cleaned one time the whole 5 days we were there. Needs an air conditioning system in the whole place. Just really run down.

This is the absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. We had black mold in our bathroom, for starters. The tub would not drain and when the shower ran, water would leak out from the backsplash of the sink and flood the counter. I don’t even know how that’s possible. The ENTIRE hotel was infested with large, winged cockroaches. We were there for an Elvis Week event and several other people we talked to had even worse experiences. Once couple had the bathroom sink above them fall through their ceiling bringing a storm of black sewage sludge. Countless people had sewage sludge coming up their tubs and toilets. We later found out that the ENTIRE 5th floor was shut down due to black mold. The microwaves and refrigerators did not work in many rooms. The WHOLE place is a junk heap that needs to be bulldozed down to the ground and completely rebuilt. I wouldn’t put my worst enemy in this building for a night. We had to stay 4 nights and the hotel only comped us ONE night for all of this. I will definitely be calling the better business bureau on this place. DO NOT BOOK A STAY HERE!!!

Valued Guest, We experienced quite a few challenges during the Elvis Week celebrations, that is no secret. The full house for Elvis Week preceded by a 5-day wedding party did, in-fact, cause multiple issues for the property's aged infrastructure which quickly compounded. The entire facility is in the process of being over-hauled in a massive renovation which began in fall of last year. To be clear, this is why the 5th floor is unavailable. The property's staff (several of which are 25+ year employees at the location) are certainly excited to see the place being developed to a prime location for the city as it has been in the past.
